Blue Palm is a great place to grab a drink or a bite if you’re in the area. Not really something that’s so good that it’s worth driving out of your way for, but for us, it’s a go to after seeing a show at the Pantages if we didn’t have time to eat beforehand. Large, changing beer selection(they have a display on the back wall that changes as the beer selections change). They had some fruity beers that I like(raspberry, cherry, etc). To eat, I had the fish sandwich with a side of lobster mac and cheese. There was, however NO lobster in the mac and cheese. Not sure if I got a bad scoop or if they messed up my order, but that was a bit weird. The sandwich was good, nothing extraordinary but good enough and I would get it again. Service was okay.

Nachos are bang a rang Roofio, lobster mac and cheese, super awesome. It’s never too crowded but there are always people in this place. Great atmosphere with high ceilings and a huge selection of beers. Also they have fine cheeses and meats to order! Really great deals here, all in all, one of my favorites! Sweet! Good job, guys! Also, I’m a Packers fan and they’re friendly when I come in(even though it’s a Steelers bar).

Blue Palms 3 stars Long story short: Decent place to watch a game and get some beers and some food. Long story long: The return of our Unilocaler Burger Crew. Well, I guess at this point, it had become the Facebook Burger Crew. We hadn’t been out to get delish burgers in the LA area in over 6 months, so Keisha F. took it upon herself to summon us from the depths of our slumber and call forth our burger minions. Yeah I have no idea what that was… Being Hollywood, parking is always a bitch. There’s a parking lot right next door, but I think I still ended up paying $ 15. Whatever, better than trying to drive around Hollywood for like 15 minutes trying to save a few bucks on parking. Walking in, a rather straightforward bar. Nothing flashy but nothing plain about it either. Edgar C and I were the first ones there, so we just kinda waited around. We weren’t exactly sure how many of us there were going to be, but our group just seemingly seemed to grow as the night progressed. Long story short, I think we ended up being like 20 people deep. Yeah, that’s how we roll. I got the American Kobe burger. Caramelized onions and well, I’ve actually now since forgotten what else was on there. I guess that just shows you how memorable the burger was. All I know is that the texture of the burger itself was offputting for me. The entire time, I kept saying it felt like I was eating meatloaf. Like, it just had that packed in, formed kind of taste? I know that doesn’t completely make sense, but you know what I mean? It was seriously a trip. I got it with a side order of sweet potato fries. Those weren’t bad. Overally I think people weren’t necessarily overwhelmed by their food, but I don’t think anybody was greatly disappointed either. I just still can’t get over that blasted texture. Just not sure if I’d come back.

No one’s reviewed this place yet? Crazy. I’m sure it gets a pretty good amount of traffic since it’s next to The Music Box(great place to see a show). They have a pretty extensive selection of beers on draft and the bartender working on the night I was there was helpful in choosing one. I heard the food was good so I ordered the calamari. It really was nothing special and the curry spiced cole slaw was disgusting. Service was mediocre. Basically, don’t go out of your way to dine/drink here but if you’re waiting for a show next door then the alcohol I’m guessing will be cheaper here than inside the venue.
