Burger Plaza Grill

I go here at least a couple of times a week. Nothing fancy here, just good, simple chow. Definitely the best deal in the plaza and they even throw in free chips. My favorites are the beef soup and baked chicken. Small business with friendly service.

Delicious burgers. Come and get one, you won’t regret it! Plus, fast and friendly service. Also, received chips and salsa as we waited which was very unexpected. Cool little spit.

You can’t beat the price. I had their cheese-​steak sandwich sans the cheese, so I may not be doing it justice. Nice strips of steak, comes with grilled tomatoes which adds a nice moistness to the sando. Nice cuts of peppers and onions on a sourdough bread and some sort of mayo-​like sauce, all of which made for a solid sandwich. Maybe just a tad salty.
Also came with seasoned steak fries & a drink. Again, you can’t beat the price and the service was great.

It was my first time trying this place out, pretty cool place. As I waited for my order they gave me salsa and chips, that’s a thumbs up .I order the bacon cheese burger combo, and it was delicious. Big oh burger and I love their fries. definitely gonna be coming back to this place.

Well I’ve eaten here many times but always stick with the grilled chicken plate. I know, burger city grill, but I love this plate! Good size portion of a well seasoned boneless chicken breast, topped with grilled onions & green and red bell peppers. My fav sides are the yellow rice and beans. Add the free chips and salsa and I am a happy girl. Oh and don’t forget the chia drink! To top it off all the people here are super sweet. A must try!

Thought I try this place out, and the food was good. Fast service, low prices, and decent portions. Plus free chips and salsa.

Cheap prices. Great burger. Set up cafeteria style, but I don’t mind! We had a great late lunch and the staff was very friendly!

Awesome prices, awesome food. Let us start with the first time I went here. They are busy and very popular burger place. Prices can not compare to other burger places. First time I ordered a cheeseburger without onions it’s very good with a soda and steak fries. Today I ordered the double cheeseburger and today service was so so. He did not ask me alot of questions it was a bit short staff. But my cheeseburger was still pretty good with the onions I love how their onions taste with my burger. 5 star for a good burger.

Customer Service: Awesome! The owner, I believe his name is Julian, is very nice. So are the workers there.
Food: After taking the first bite into my Chili King Double Cheeseburger, I said, «this place is so good and cheap». I was lectured for a few minutes on the difference between using the word cheap and inexpensive. It did not matter one bit because I enjoyed an awesome burger.
You can get any of the burgers for about $ 6 – 9. Add only $ 2 and he will include fries and a drink. And on top of that, he gives you free chips and salsa while you are waiting.
I know some places give you more to make up for the quality of food, but this is not one of them. Everything you get here, will be worth it!
I’ll definitely be back again!

An above average burger. A messed up order. And a long wait.
I ordered a King cheeseburger combo, and proceeded to wait nearly 30 minutes for my order to come out. People, who ordered after me, and long after me got their food, while I waited. I had to go up to the counter and check on my order. Good thing I did, because my order never got passed on to the cooks.
To compensate, I was given some tortilla chips. And then they brought a chili cheeseburger, not what I had ordered. They were friendly and apologetic, and I appreciated that though.
The burger itself, was quite greasy. But it was okay.
Overall, Burger Plaza Grill is «A-​OK.»

I really enjoyed my King Cheeseburger, from the very first to the very last bite. amazing! the beefy flavor of the burger was superb and the condiments on the burger just made a party of flavor in my mouth. next time i’m going to order 2 burgers to satisfy my craving, this place is that good. definitely a must try when you’re in the area. free chips and salsa when you dine in.

I didn’t believe the reviews because outside of Unilocal i’ve heard NOTHING about this joint. People talk about other places in Mercado La Paloma, so I’m guessing the Burger Plaza Grill is just often passed-​by. Well no longer for this guy!
The prices here are decent, especially when you see the size of the burgers. hot mama they droop over the bun and are about the size of my hand… and I have huge hands ;)
Anyway, on to the food! WTF DO THEY COOK THESE BURGERS WITH, CRACK? Seriously. It’s like they sprinkle crack onto the grill and cook em up real nice and greasy, put it on the bun and voila. Best burger I’ve ever had. EVER. And I’m a burger freak obsessed with In n out. My first time there I got the King Cheeseburger and it was huge, cheesy, greasy (but not overwhelmingly so) and juicy. The toppings and bun complimented it so nicely. Despite its size, I ate it so fast I wanted another one. It was that good. Luckily, i found chips and salsa also in the bag to munch on after :)
The second time, I tried the Turkey Cheeseburger to see what all the fuss was about. Although it was one of the better turkey burgers I’ve had, it just didn’t hit the spot the same way the beef counterpart did. Still big, still filling, but not 5-​star quality. I say stick with the red meat here folks!

After trying many different burgers throughout Los Angeles, I have come to the conclusion that it’s much harder than you’d think to find a well-​executed burger. Like really, how many times have you found a burger that is drenched in grease, that has a tasteless patty, or that has bread that is disproportionately big? Fortunately, Burger Plaza Grill is here to right this wrong.
Burger Plaza Grill moved into Mo-Chica’s old home at the Mercado. They offer a small variety of burgers and Mexican food. Drink selections are pretty diverse, given the location. Burger Plaza Grill is ran by the most adorable and kind elderly lady. I ordered the legendary Turkey Cheeseburger, fries, and a can of Cherry Coke. The meal totaled $ 6.85 with tax. As an added bonus, all orders come with a small order of chips and homemade salsa. My wallet was happy with the price, so that gave a terrific start to the meal already.
There is no exaggeration in the other reviews. This was a terrific turkey cheeseburger. The patty was cooked well and had as much flavor as you should expect. Toppings and bread were appropriately sized, helping to make this truly the perfect basic burger.
At $ 2 to add fries and a drink, I would have been fine with average fries. Fortunately, the fries were above average. Burger Plaza Grill serves mini steak fries with cajun seasoning. The portioning was terrific and the fries were perfectly cooked — another thing that can be surprisingly rare.
The chips and salsa were equally good. I loved the balance of heat and flavor in the salsa. This, along with the burger and the hefty portion of fries, created a great meal that filled me up very well.
4 stars — I debated hard between 4 and 5 and will possibly change it a few times more. Burger Plaza Grill is an ideal mom and pop shop — great food and service without any sense of pretentiousness. The turkey burger is fairly basic, but it is executed far better than a sad majority of the burgers that I have tried. It’s a terrific option for a burger, or for cheap dining in general, if you happen to be in the area. I’ll probably return to try some other dishes.

I loved everything about this place.
The «Burger Plaza Grill» is a good example of why Mom & Pop shops rock. It’s a small little Burger Spot inside of a larger open-​concept plaza. You’ll see the restaurant’s sign directly to your right as you enter the plaza’s main entrance… It’s kind of hard to miss, but there are a lot of other small shops around to distract you.
Now for the good stuff… The food.
I don’t eat red meat, but there were plenty of non-​beef options on the menu for me to choose from (egg sandwiches, homemade soups, baked chicken, etc.). I ordered a turkey burger and I must say… it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Nothing too fancy or over the top… It was just a simple, yet, well-​made burger. It’s a world of difference from the soggy-​bunned mess you’d receive at a large fast food chain.
I’ll definitely be returning.

Great Prices. they give free chips and salsa with every order. its not a «burger stand» its a mexican food joint with a lot of different options to choose from, homemade chicken soup (to die for), baked potato, burgers, salmon dinner, sandwhiches, baked chicken plate comes with your choice, white rice, yellow rice, salad, veggies.
AND ITS HEALTHYYYYY. the menu has the price and calories listed. Fast. never waited long, friendly older ladY ANNNDD like my mom says when the chips n salsa is good, you know the place is good. and shes right! they accept debit (no min)
the only thing i dont like is that they don’t have a menu to hand out, but they do have pictures once you go to order.
I would recommend this place to everyone i know. when im at work i show off my food to my co-​workers! haha!
