Had a great experience here. $ 5 grand total for a carne asada burrito w everything in it. It was a good size and filling. very hot/fresh. I’m glad I checked the Unilocal reviews and sought this place out. I rarely eat from food trucks so they def gave it a good name. Thumbs up! I’d go again for sure ;)

I have always passed by here and never given it a second thought, but because I saw all the awesome reviews I decided to get my hungry belly to the truck in front of the Hankook Market(western and 1st). I ordered a carnitas burrito but I was given a chicken one. I decided to just give it a shot, but. .. honestly I’ve had better. There are pros tho! The burrito I got was like $ 5! It’s HUUUUGE. Like omg I just got through half of it & my belly is about to pop. If you’re broke & looking for a big cheap meal, then you should get this. Just know that it’s not outta this world.

I didn’t believe my friend when she said this was the best Mexican food ever. Let me just give you a precursor: I do not like mexican food. I have tried plenty of mexican food in hopes of changing my mind, but nothing has been able to make me question my disinterest for mexican food until I ate at this food truck. I got a simple carne asada burrito. First off, the burrito was huge. I was like I was practically carrying a small baby. I couldn’t finish half of it. I was so stuffed. Second off, I was thrown off by the cheap price of $ 4.50. Third off, I actually really liked it. The meat is extremely juicy and very soft. It melted in my mouth like butter. I was extremely impressed. Definitely try to hit this place up every time I’m in town.

Carne Asada Burrito + Cheese + Guacamole + Sour Cream = HUGEBURRITO! Not only was the burrito the size of my face, it was only $ 4.50, you can’t beat that price. The Carne Asada was bomb, and unlike many other Mexican food places, it isn’t so greasy. There is no wait, and the food truck is located right outside HK market in ktown almost every day of the week, the schedule is hard to follow(and I warn you that it will be a heart-breaking experience if you can’t find the truck parked there), but trust me it’s so worth it when you do.

This very truck is what made me fall in love with Mexican food. I was pleasantly surprised to see this place on Unilocal because looking up Mexican food in the area before, this place never showed up. I have been frequenting this place for several years and always come back no matter where I move because this has the best Mexican food ever. I have always lived about an hour away from this place and tried so many different Mexican restaurants, trucks, and taquerias to find a replacement, but nothing can ever measure up to this truck. For this reason, I find it very hard to leave Socal for great lengths of time because this truck has a special place in my heart that no other taqueria can replace. The food here is so good that I honestly would not even care if the workers were the meanest people ever, but the fact that they are so friendly is definitely a bonus :) I believe the cashier’s name is Christina and she is so nice. Anywho, I haven’t had the pleasure of trying everything on the menu, although I definitely plan on it someday. Their burritos are astounding and its ingredients all just compliment each other so well. What sets this place apart from a lot of other places is that they really put a lot of emphasis on their meat, and you can tell because it is seasoned so well and the meat is the kind that just melts in your mouth. Another great thing about their food is that it’s very light on the grease. With most Mexican food, I feel extremely guilty after eating because I see a pile of oil left over, but this truck’s food feels a lot healthier, yet still manages to taste better than all other Mexican food I’ve eaten. The carne asada burrito is like a piece of heaven in your mouth. I can’t really say much for the pork items because I am allergic to pork, but maybe if I’m courageous enough to risk the side effects, I’ll update this review one day. I’ve tried their tortas and they are definitely high up on my list, but I can confidently say that their burritos are their specialty. I think the name of this truck can vouch for that as well. Their tacos are definitely better than average, but I’d rather save that extra room in my stomach for another burrito or torta. The prices here are very decent, considering that you can get a giant burrito for 4 – 5 dollars, I can’t exactly remember the price because I haven’t been here in a while, shame on me. The size is definitely the kind that you’re supposed to split with someone, but I burn about 500 calories a day from exercise so I use that excuse to eat a whole burrito and more food :) You can tell that this place is good when you see all kinds of different people eating at this truck. I’ve seen dainty Korean housewives getting food here after grocery shopping at the Korean market next to this truck. I’ve also seen lots of Latinos frequenting this truck as well, so you definitely know it’s legit. From what the workers said, I think they’re normally there from 11 – 6 every day. One sad thing about this truck is that it’s not very consistent with their hours and I’ve come here leaving with a broken soul because they have not been at their usual spot a few times. But the times that they are here, I swear it’s an amazing experience :)

I came here during my lunch break because my co-worker told me this was one of the spots with one of the better and bigger burritos in LA and he was right. The burrito was HUGE. $ 4.50 and HUGE!!! The burrito didn’t do much to differentiate itself too much in terms of overwhelming flavor, but the burrito was moist and had a good mix of rice. beans, and meat. I ate around half the burrito and left the other half at work(D’OH!). If you want a big ol’ burrito that’ll fill you up for lunch and give you leftovers for dinner, check out Sahuayo, it isn’t half bad. P. S. You can get two meats in the burrito, so no more hard choices on which meat to put in.

Finally!, i am very excited that this truck has been recognized on Unilocal.By the way, the name of the truck is actually called Burritos«Sahuayo», and i have been eating at this truck since 2004 back when i was in Middle School! almost 8 years later and this truck still keeps me coming back for more and there is a reason! also living a block away from this joint doesnt hurt. The price has definitely gone up from then(but what restaurant hasnt), but The food here is excellent for the price, you get way more than you pay for. Their menu has a wide variety of choices from tacos, burritos, enchilladas, quesadillas, to tostadas and of course what their famous for, their tortas. I would recommend getting the torta de asada or tostada de jaiva if this is your first time coming here. Their Torta De Asada is basically a whole foot long and it comes with avocados with no extra fee. The tostada de Jaiva is INCREDIBLE, especially if your looking for something fresh and tasty it has tomatoes, avocados, onions, of course jaiva and once you squeeze the lime and tapatio on that bad boy it is DELICIOUS! and it goes for $ 1.25. The truck only takes cash but since its not pricey its no biggie. Gets busy around lunch time so i would suggest going near the evening. The workers there are AWESOME and SUPER nice, the guy who cooks and takes order’s name is i believe Chewy which is another name for Jesus in spanish. All in all, this is a MUST try burrito truck you have to check out if your looking for cheap, and quality mexican food in koreatown.

This truck is the reason Unilocal exists. This truck is a hidden gem frequented mainly by PAISA. Great burritos and tortas filled with meat not fillers. The burrito is huge and only four dollars. Bring cash, fools!

I can’t believe this truck is on here!!! Somebody is a genius!!! I’ve only ordered the carnitas burritos from here and they are amazing!!! The pork is very tender and fulfilling. The rice is mixed with carrots and peas and so delicious. The best thing is you’re paying $ 3.50 for a burrito!!! These burrito’s are filling and hearty. I’m sick and tired of «food trucks» charging restaurant prices, $ 6, or $ 7 is too much for a food truck burrito. This place is classic style, excellent prices, very nice people running the place and a great burrito every time.

This is the 1st food truck that I ever gone too. It’s awesome. They have all kinds of meat and they have a good menu. The burgers, burritos, tortas, and enchiladas are what I have tried in the menu, and I would recommend each and every one of them. Price is good and the service is good. Very friendly truck. The only con is that it’s hard to find parking at times.

This truck is a godsend for all those times I have just been too lazy to cook for myself. I just stumble down from my apartment and order a delicious carne asada burrito and I am in heaven. Qué rico! They are really friendly and quick. I freaking love my neighborhood truck!

Amazing. Always get the same thing, an asada burrito con queso for four-fifty, they remember me, even when I’m gone for weeks at a time for work, and they’re helping me with my Spanish. All that typed, STILL have criminally well seasoned meat and tasty beans, rice(arroz de real) and muy autentica queso blanco, great verde salsa y picaldes. Awesome awesome awesomeness… Daddy loves it… con sabor!!!

With such a dense population of Latinos in Ktown(and pretty much anywhere else in Los Angeles… So Cal… the whole Pacific West even), you know you won’t have to drive or walk too far to satisfy your burrito needs. This truck is conveniently located in front of HK Market, where after grocery shopping, I can grab a quick and inexpensive burrito and two tacos for under $ 7. I’ve noticed a lot of students on campus with their specialty burritos, one of those low fat, non-dairy, über-vegan burritos. I shake my head, thinking, «Only in LA.» Yes, I understand that we as students are poor, but that doesn’t mean we have to eat poorly. Good cheap eats are everywhere in LA, like this truck. Or sometimes they carry around burritos with too much personality, more fluff and froo-froo than a shih tzu(and I think only shih-tzus should be permitted to be THAT regal). No gourmet and no frivolousness. Just three main ingredients make me a happy boy: meat, beans, rice. I took a star off because they put corns and peas… I don’t know, I like my burritos meaty, mouth-watering and uncomplicated, just the way I like my men.

Before you shove your«gourmet» chipotle burritos down your throat, consider this place. No, they do not have fancy décor, instead they have a bench where you can wait for your order if you strongly desire. No, they do not have a «system» of requesting what you prefer or not, instead you are pretty much stuck with whatever is wrapped in the tortilla. No, they do not have mild/hot tobasco sauce, instead they have green/red sauce without ingredient list. What? you want fork and knife? Get outta here; use your god-given ten fingers to pick up that damn burrito and devour away. Use them sporadically to wipe off that face of yours. Man my mouth just watered from writing this review. The truck is located in front of HK market on 1st and Western Ave. I’m on my way so see you there: P I love you, burrito truck in front of HK market!
