Cabo Cantina

Do not go to this Cabo Cantina. The host made me take my hat off because apparently LA hats are gang affiliated, secondly there were other people wearing LA hats but he only made me take mine off while other people were still wearing theirs. It took the waitress 20 mins to ask us for drinks and our food order them had the audacity to ask me why her tip was low. Then she proceeded to roll her eyes and be very rude. Long story short go to a different one without racial profiling.

This place lacks customer service. The waitress was snooty and would rather chit chat with the other waitress rather than serve it’s customers. As we waited for our food, I saw this business lose a few customers because they were not acknowledged or seated. This is a shame because this place has great food and drinks! The all you can eat taco Tuesday is a great deal which comes with rice, beans and two tacos. I probably give this place one more chance just because of the food and drinks!

Taco Tuesday!!! Unlimited all you can eat tacos for like $ 6 but you have to purchase a drink. Luckily they have huge amazing margaritas to choose from. I look forward to coming here with friends on Tuesday. Only downside is you can’t take any leftovers home so come hungry.

I’d been at an event at The Standard all day and was in desperate need of food so decided to stop into Cabo Cantina, I do love Mexican after all!
It was happy hour so I ordered a Strawberry Margherita and ended up with two absolutely GIGANTIC glasses of it– not a bad start!
I had the Queso Dip for a starter which I didn’t really rate– it was watery and lacked the cheesy taste I was looking for and had a Steak Burrito for my Main dish. It was tasty but nothing overly exciting. I feel like Cabo Cantina is a place you come to drink and have some guac and chips– I wouldn’t eat burritos here again.

Bad bad bad service. The food was good. I’ll give them that. Here on a Tuesday. Took them like between 20 to 25 minutes for them to acknowledge us. Mind you guys it’s not busy. So we came here for my friends bday. She called to see if they had any specials for birthdays. The gentlemen she spoke to earlier confirmed that yes indeed they did. They said they would give her a champagne bottle and a free meal, as long as you showed you id and it was on your birthday or birthday weekend. Well wrong we arrived and the waitress said unfortunately they don’t have anything for birthdays. That was a huge let down. She said she would talk to her manager. But she never did. We kept asking and she kept saying to hold off. Would we have known that they dont have any awesome offers we would have gone somewhere where they make a birthday memorable.
The food is the only reason why I’m giving them 2 stars.

OK review update our waitress came back with a birthday shot. So that’s pretty awesome of her to go the extra mile. Ty for putting a smile on my birthday friend.

Came here for Super Bowl Sunday and had a great time! Such a fun environment and TWO FOR ONE DRINKS after 4PM :) got there around 3:30 and we hung around the bar and these very nice people let us sit next to them on the bar area and we had perfect view of the game. The servers immediately got our order but we weren’t that hungry so we just ordered a basket of fries (huge portion for only $ 3.99.
If I’m going to recommend anything it’s those loaded nachos! We went to the Newport location two Sunday Fundays ago haha. It’s like 12 bucks and we got half chicken half steak. It’s enough for like four people to share. It’s huuuge. Anyways, their margaritas are amazing. For the two for one you can either get a double shot or two single shots. Of course we went for the double. It was deliciousss. On the rocks with salt is my favorite. Cabo cantina is one of my favorite sports bars. Mostly because I love Mexican food and margaritas lol. I love how they have multiple locations all over So Cal so there’s plenty of locations to choose from. Great service and amazing food.

I don’t think I’ve ever been to a bottomless mimosa place where the server encourages me to choose besides that. «It’s a headache waiting to happen» and «most people return the Bloody Mary»
That’s great. I’m not expecting Don Perignon, which is why I came here. Maybe you can give those warnings to the bartender instead of the clientele.
I’m here to get drunk, not spoiled.

Service was great! However the drinks at Cabo. Suck! Stick with a beer I got two huge strawberry margaritas, first one was blended and usually having a blended drink it’s hard to tell how much alcohol is in there because you don’t taste it. By the end of my drink. I had no buzz whatshowever not even the slightest. So I decided maybe order the one on the rocks. Same issue. Super sweet, but this was definitely a virgin margarita and so was the first one. After spending over $ 40 dollars on two large margaritas and no buzz at all. I feel totally jibbed. Don’t order any mixed drinks there just order beer if you want to make it worth your money. I used to go to Cabo cantina a lot! But this is it! My friends and I won’t come back. And the bartender girl was rude as well. There are so many great places in Hollywood this is definitely not one of them.

This place gave me the worst food poisoning!!! DO NOT EAT THERE.

This place is so much fun ! I love the margaritas and nachos here ! Always good music and bunch of good people, prices are reasonable, Very hyping and positive atmosphere.

Worst place ever!!! They don’t offer not even free chips which any Mexican restaurant offer. In addition, since the minimum wage has increased in California they are charging a fee in the bill for that. This is ridiculous!!! Even the server said that they’re cheap!!! Indeed, they are sooo cheap!!! The food was mediocre and the drinks were tasting awful. My first time here and last. The server never came back to check on us. Horrible and attitude service. This place really need to learn how to have a five stars service. I work at the Ritz and I know what that means. CHEAP OWNERS and CHEAP MANAGEMENT

Service sucks. Very rude and careless. The drinks are ok but then again you can get an ok drink anywhere out here. The food is simple. Do not go here disgusting

Honestly one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a restaurant in awhile. I placed a take out order and was told my order would be ready in 20 minutes. When I arrived I was told they were still working on my order and waited another 15 – 20 minutes. When my order finally arrived they had charged me for two orders of two tacos instead of the one order of two tacos I had placed. After sorting out that confusion I took my tacos back to work with me only to find out they gave me two orders of beans instead of beans and rice like I had asked. I had to waste another 5 minutes walking there to get my rice and when I finally sat down to eat the tacos, they fell apart on me. I can definitely say I will not be eating there again. Oh yeah, I ordered food around 1 in the afternoon and it was dead. You’d think their customer service would have been a little better.

SERVER Eva is not only the worst, but is also the most incompetent person for this job. She charged me twice and I was not returned my money.

We didn’t order any food. We ordered the huge margaritas (with 4 shots of tequila) and an order chips and salsa. Both were pretty good and did the job. The waitress was very attentive and friendly. People in there were pretty friendly as well. The view of Hollywood Blvd was definitely a plus!

3 stars based on the service. Since I only got chicken tacos and a sunset margarita, there isn’t much to comment on. The tacos were decent, but the sunset margarita was AMAZING. Definitely recommend.
As for service: we seated ourselves since there wasn’t a host or hostess in front for a good 5 minutes (on a not so busy Saturday night). After we seared ourselves, a server came up to us fairly quickly and took our drink order. Though he was very helpful in helping us decide what margarita we should get, he failed to bring our waters until we asked for the 3^rd time when he brought out our check (tip time). He also failed to bring out chips and salsa for us, or even check up how we were doing throughout the meal.
Otherwise, it’s…Cabo cantina. Just another corporate taco chain. But drinks are good.

Tried shrimp fajitas and they were very good. Good vegetables, good shrimp, excellent guacamole and salsa rojo! There was no need for the rice and beans. But if someone is terribly hungry, that will fill him.
Loud music but it’s pleasant. Dirty but somehow fits the dirt of the location and u can sit in the window.

We stopped by here since it’s next to Supper Club and we didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg for drinks… and because we really wanted to eat. It was not bad for a quick stop, but not a place I’d come to regularly. At around 11pm at night, this place was pretty full! The food was not bad.
=ORDERS=
1) We ordered the giant MARGARITA… peach flavored, which in my opinion was not strong at all, even though the margarita was supposed to have 2 shots. It was definitely sweet and an enjoyable drink, but if you’re looking for something to make you just a little buzzed, you’ll probably need about 3 or 4 of these. I know it’s their signature drink (I guess because of the size?), but I’d skip this next time.
2) Surf & Turf Tacos — Shrimp AND steak tacos?! How great is this? Again, steak and shrimp, guacamole, pico de gallo, crema fresca & Cotija cheese. It was honestly pretty good! My only caveat was that it was roughly $ 11. It came with rice and beans if you asked for it. I mean, it was a good taco, and I’m totally down to have more than 1 type of meat in my taco… but I don’t know if I’d order it again.
=SERVICE=
The food and drinks came out pretty quickly and our server was nice. I didn’t like that they had to hold a credit card on tab while you’re eating though. Where’s the trust in your customers?
=FINAL VERDICT=
If I’m going back to the Supper Club (which is highly unlikely), I’d most likely pop on by to grab a quick bite to eat. But… what I REALLY want to do is come back for this «Taco Tuesday Night» where it’s supposed to be AYCE tacos for $ 5! That’s more of my style!

If your dirty, a drunk, and in college… I recommend this establishment.
I was left hanging with service and served cold cheap food. Rude employees! Oh and The drinks are sugar water and ice!
Great tourist place when your desperate.
And if you are a tourist, Don’t wear a hat or they will call you a gang member and forbid you entry (even when you offer to out in your purse). I’ve experienced this at both locations.
Lastly if you do decide to visit this place, beware of the bathrooms.
