1 out of 10 burritos I’ve ordered here has been prepared correctly. Every time I ask for no beans, no salsa, and to add sour cream, and it’s consistently gotten wrong somehow. Everyone here has always been nice, but if you order anything to go, check it before you leave because I’m betting it’ll be wrong. I also don’t really enjoy the quality of the meat here, particularly the carne asada and chicken. This place is definitely almost always a miss. Side note: there’s a serious pigeon problem on the patio. I almost got hit in the face by one flying out of the trash can on the side of the building, no joke.

I ate here a few times, hit or miss. My last visit complete and utter FAIL. I took one bite and lost my appetite. I ordered carne asana tacos and the meat was soooo dry. The tortilla was not fresh. Honestly I wouldn’t have eaten it if it was free. Poor quality and too expensive for what it is — garbage!

This is my «go-to» taco spot. Yes it’s small, yes the dining area is often dirty during busy hours, but the tacos are about as good as you’ll find in K-Town. I’ve tried most of the meats they have available with the Birria and Cabeza being my favorite. The chile relleno burrito is also killer. If you’re looking for something gourmet, you’re probably in the wrong part of town. This is a good old fashioned taco stand.

Look, I won’t front… I have been living like 4 blocks away from cactus for over a decade. For whatever reason, I completely avoided it! If it wasn’t for my mom wanting quick Mexican food… I would have never gone to Cactus! Cactus is all around good quality Mexican food! I have definitely been coming here for a half dozen times after my first visit. I recommend it.

$ 5 for a breakfast burrito here would be the best five dollars you have ever spent! Best breakfast burrito I have ever had! This burrito wins the gold medal for breakfast burritos. I think the breakfast burrito here could also be described as pure satisfaction, the definition of happiness, it could bring about world peace. It will give your life meaning and direction. No longer shall you hide in the corner of your fruitless existence. You will go forth and write your name upon the world. You will piss excellence and shit greatness at every turn of your life. It is your duty to yourself, your country, and this world to go here and eat one of these breakfast burritos!

Atmosphere: Cactus is a mexican taco shop with an outside eating area. It is at an edge of a residential block. There is plenty of street parking available, but parking for Cactus is extremely limited(I believe there’s only 2 or 3 spots). Outside is relatively dirty, but i’ll just assume that I came after a large dinner/late night rush and they didn’t get a chance to clean yet. Service: My order was taken quickly and my burrito was done in about 2 minutes. Please’s and thank you’s were shared and I left with my burrito and sauces(from the salsa/sauce bar) happy. Food: My lengua burrito cost $ 8.80 and was a third smaller than any burrito that i’ve gotten from any taco truck that I’ve come across in K-Town. I was disappointed in the size of the burrito but thought to myself that maybe it’s smaller because it tastes better or the ingredients are fresher. NOPE. The lengua was chewy(not tender) and the beans and rice just tasted old. I love beans in my burrito, but I felt 100% sure that if this burrito didn’t have the beans in it it would’ve even tasted better. This burrito was mad expensive for its size and taste. The only thing keeping me from giving cactus a 1 star is its salsa/sauce bar and the fact that they accept card. For nine dollars you can get a burrito, drink, and a taco from most mexican food trucks in k-town.

When this place is packed the service can be pretty slow but the food is good and they are pretty generous with their portions. Parking is a pain, but for a take out meal it’s good and quick(if it’s empty). Lots of choices at the veggie bar/condiments counter. Purchase«for here» to get free chips(they don’t give it to you if you get take out). The chile relleno and breakfast burritos are delicious, but can be oily. Great place to pick up burritos if you’re hungover!

I just walked away from this place. i was standing at the order window and cashier lady is on a personal phone call, an «I’ll be right with you probably would have been ok. But i guess she figures i got food, you want? You wait . I dont think anyone one needs to be insulted at any food joint like that, there are so many other options.

Boyfriend and I visited this place on a Friday afternoon. I thought that parking would be an issue but it actually wasn’t. They have a little lot to park in but there’s also street parking nearby. Our food came out relatively quickly and the beef fajita burrito that I got was piping hot! Yum. It was a good portion size(came with some salsas and a little bit of chips). I was nice and full leaving the restaurant. :) There is just outdoor seating here, by the way, but there is shade and it is pretty clean.

Food: ordered huevos rancheros. Was not expecting that type of salsa on top, but it was actually pretty good. Refried beans were tasty. Has patio seating. Decent size. Limited parking. Service is okay. Would def come back to try their chili rellenos and their chicken bowl.

Food is good but definitely not worth the rude customer service. It’s not ok to ignore the customer and then give them attitude when we ask again. I do have to say that the shrimp burrito was very good but didn’t get to enjoy it due to my prior unpleasant moment with the cashier.

Frequent visitor. Visit at least once or twice a week. I usually get one of three things from this particular location which are, the chicken tacos, the California burrito and the chicken fajita burrito. Food wise, not sure how authentic the tacos and burritos are but its. shall I say. a tad bit better than King Taco. Why the reason for the low rating you ask? Just like everyone else. The cashier lady. Rude is an under statement. She makes you feel like Sh*t. Here’s the dialogue: Lady: Hola(tone is closer to «I just got out of bed after a long night of clubbing and am too drunk to stand and I just started my period) Me: Hi, can I get 6 chicken tacos Lady: for here or to go Me: to go Lady: $ 8.50 Me:(slowly hands CREDITCARD) Lady: tosses the PIN device Me: Uh. credit Lady:(rolls eyes and tears away the receipt) debit or credit! Me: credit. Lady:(tosses receipt and pen on counter) Lady:(takes the receipt and pen and hands you the card) 10 minutes later Lady: 6 chicken tacos. Seis pollo tacos!!! Me: Can I get the turnips and lemon Lady: in there Me: Damn. I can only assume that she’s the owner cause no way in heck can she be an employee and still be working there. Food decent, service like everyone else says. RUDE.

If it was possible to give a –star I would. Horrible service with attitude! The lady that«did not help» me made a face when I asked for the tacos with one tortilla and she wanted to charge me 50 cents to melt the cheese per taco. Can I just say! You got a lot learn from El Chato taco truck as far as how taco meats supposed to taste. I will never go there again or take anyone I know.

This place was so blah. I live a couple blocks away so I was hoping to find a great go to eatery within walking distance. I was so disappointed. The food was so bland and lacked any taste. I had the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was just like a bunch of mush thrown together without any thought. Even the hot sauce had zero flavor. I would’ve given 3 stars if the counter workers were nice and friendly, but they obviously don’t care about their job or customer service. I give it two stars for the cleanliness of the patio, the ease of ordering, and the fact that it had plenty of parking.

I had a couple tacos here. Carne asada was good, and came with fresh radish, cucumber, lime wedge, and a few tortilla chips. The salsas were pretty good. They have a bit of outdoor seating that has shade. Seemed fairly clean to me, and the lady at the counter was nice. All in all a decent spot to stop at for a couple of tacos.

This place is my second home! I Love their tacos. I have been coming here for years. They have loads of options for tacos and choice of meats. Everything is top quality. Burritos, tacos, you name it they have it. They even have cabeza for all you crazies. Sometimes the line can get long here to so be ready to wait. Also if you go during the week make sure you read the street signs so you don’t get towed. Because you can’t park on the streets after 6pm.

RUDEANDSLOWSERVICE I said excuse me to the lady to see if the food that was out was mine and she just put up her finger at my face. Couldn’t she at least ask me to wait a sec? I ordered mine to go. My hard taco was EVERYWHERE with an empty taco shell. I didn’t shake the box or anything. I asked for extra cilantro in my burrito. There was NONE. I feel so offended.

Cactus #2 is basically located in Koreatown. That being said, parking is going to be a PITA(pain in the a$s…) the located offers 4(very small) parking spaces in the back. When we arrived, only 2 cars took up the spaces. It was a tight squeeze and we didn’t want to risk it. You order at the window and you pick up your food when it’s ready. There’s only outside patio seating. About 7 tables(4 of them will seat 4 people and 3 will seat 2 people). The food was good and moderately priced. We ordered a Carne asada burrito and an order of Al pastor super nachos. Actually they messed up the burrito that was supposed to come with guacamole and sour cream, they left out the guacamole and then charged for a side of sour cream. Oh well. Next time I’ll double check the order. The nachos were good though. Crispy chips with toppings of juicy Al pastor, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole. The horchata was perfect! Sweet, but not too sweet. We got ours with ice and it was so tasty cold. Get a large one! It’s that good. Overall, a pretty good place for nachos and Mexican food in general… but watch out if they mess up the orders.

Cactus #2 is one of the Best Mexican spots for Carne Asada Fries, Nachos, and Burritos!!! LOCATION&PARKING Located on Beverly Blvd. The original is on Vine closer to Hollywood, but I prefer this location. Small parking lot with only four spaces or side street parking. Read Parking Signs carefully cuz there’s multiple parking restriction signs and it’s like a damn riddle trying to figure out when it’s okay to park there. ***BEWARE!!!: Street parking on the side street is ONLY2HOURS from 8am — 6pm. and DONOTPARKONTHESIDESTREETFROM6pm-8pm NIGHTLY!!! Trust me, I now know and will never forget due to the $ 68 Parking ticket I just got! :( AMBIANCE&SETTING Super casual and perfect for groups. Outdoor seating only. No public restrooms available. An ATM machine is located in front of their parking lot and Credit/Debit cards are NOWACCEPTED! Small, but cool salsa and veggie bar on their counter during dinner hours. CUSTOMERSERVICE Service is alright, but not the best. You basically order, pick it up when they call your number, and either dine in or take it to go. It can get busy, but it usually takes between 10 – 20 minutes. FOOD Carne Asada Fries — French fries topped with shredded Carne Asada, cheese, diced tomatoes and onions, cilantro, guacamole, and sour cream. Simple, yet amazingly bomb! — GETIT! Super Nachos with Chicken — Crispy tortilla chips with shredded, flavorful chicken topped with diced tomatoes and onions, cilantro, melted cheese, and the perfect amount of sour cream. My 2nd Favorite. — TRYIT! Beef Fajita Burrito — Big burrito with beef, grilled bell peppers and onions, and rice. The bell peppers tasted burnt and the rice bland. — Eh, SKIPIT! California Burrito($ 7.50 + Tax) — Big burrito with your choice of meat, Spanish rice, beans, onions, cilantro, sour cream, and my favorite part… French fries! Get it with Carne Asada meat and it’s basically Carne asada fries wrapped in a tortilla as a huge burrito. Love it! — GETIT! Overall, Cactus #2 never fails to satisfy my Mexican food cravings and I’ll continue to come back to try different food items!
