Umm… I think this place closed for good. I was at Café Mangia last week to take advantage of my $ 1 for $ 12 worth of food voucher but the restaurant looked like it has been closed for quite some time. Hmm… Does anyone know if they plan on reopening the restaurant?

I came here today for lunch because I got the groupon deal. This café is located in this building next to a gas station. The lady at the counter is really nice and helpful. so service is good, but the food is just alright. The lady also threw in some brownie bites which I think is really nice. So overall, I wouldn’t go back because the food isn’t TOO good, but service is great!

I finished a great lunch here. Very good, fresh and homemade. It’s hidden on the first floor of the commercial building next to the gas station at Westwood and National. The mushroom soup was excellent and the turkey club sandwich was excellent as well. Very nice people own and run the place. The only downside is the fact that you must park on the street or pay downstairs in the lot or possibly walk from Traders Joe’s which is close by. I will be back!

Came here with 6 coworkers and our sandwiches took over 45 minutes to make. No one warned us they would take that long, so it was pretty frustrating.

I get delivery from this place a lot(used to drop in when I worked in the area too) — what a great little lunch place! Soups are off the charts, as others have mentioned here. Haven’t had a bad one yet. I’ve gotten several of their sandwiches and haven’t been disappointed, but lately I’ve been going with whatever their special is for that day — usually something hot and satisfying so that I’m not jonesing for an afternoon snack. But if the special isn’t working for you, stick with the mediterranean chicken sandwich. I think there’s crack in their pesto sauce, but I really don’t care. I’ll go to rehab when I’m dead… Tip: I’m not a small dude, and their sandwiches(on *amazing* breads — dunno where they buy their bread, but wish I could shop there too!) are more than enough for me for a meal. Half a sandwich and a cup of soup are just right for lunch, then the other part of the sammich is either a killer snack or(yeah, I admit, I do this) great for breakfast in the morning…

I ordered lunch from Mangia today for a group of coworkers. The service is fabulous and I really liked the food I got. I tried the Mangia Salad and I chose the balsamic vinaigrette. The balsamic dressing is SO good! I dipped a French roll in the leftover dressing and it was really tasty with bread too. I was surprised how well the beets and bleu cheese went together in the salad. They also threw in some brownie bites for free since it was my first time ordering. The brownie bites, as well as the salad dressing containers, were appropriately sized(not too big), which I appreciated. They have free delivery. I pre-paid with a credit card, expecting to add the tip when they got here, but unfortunately I wasn’t able to add the tip. I apologized and gave the delivery person all the cash I had on me — only $ 2. He was very nice about it. I would have given Mangia 5 stars but the tomatoes in the salad weren’t very good. On the plus side they were organic. I will definitely order from here again!

I went here today for lunch. It’s hard to spot at first because it’s inside a business building. When we got there around 1, it was pretty empty and the service was great. They made sure they made our order how we liked it. I had the half roast beef sandwich and half greek salad. The salad was fresh and delicious. The veggies in the sandwich and salad are from the farmers market mmmm so good! They were also very generous and gave me a sample of their soup of the day and a free drink. The Unilocal coupon is a good deal to split with a friend. Each person can get a sandwich and a drink for about $ 10, but only pay $ 5. I highly recommend this place if you’re in the neighborhood.

Okay as a sidenote, I ate here on Monday because I found it on Unilocal, and when I tried to search for it again today, I couldn’t find it for the life of me. I’m writing a review just so I can remember the name of this place. Anyways, this place has awesome soups! Their lentil soup alone is worth 5 stars. They had a little too much sauce on their chicken sandwich, the egg on my mangia muffin was a lil burnt/oily, which knocked them down to a 4. And they forgot one of the soups I ordered =/Still, I’m definitely going to go back! That was my first experience, so I’ll re-review in the future and hopefully bump it up to a 4 – 5. Souppp mmmm~

I was in the area on business. Since I had to pay for parking, I didn’t want to go far, so I went to the little café located in the lobby of the building I was at. I’ve never expected much from these types of places. Boy was I surprised! I’m glad I took the chance. I got the daily special which was thai chicken skewers with jasmine rice and with a side of coconut soup. I also got a brownie! The whole meal was fantastic. The owner told me that he had just purchased the basil fresh that morning from the Santa Monica Farmers Market. The flavors were popping but not overpowering. They roast their own roast beef in house. I will return for one of their sandwiches, unless of course I am tempted again by the daily special…

Yum, Yum, Gimme Some! Café Mangia’s menu has a spectacular variety of deliciosity that caters to everyone’s palette. Their Chili Spaghetti, Spicy Tomato Soup and Jalapeño/Cheddar Muffins sate my penchant for spicier fare as well as their Cuban Garlic Chicken w/Black Beans, Plantains & White Rice Combo Deal. And what a DEAL it is! In addition to the«Bang for Your Buck», the owners are friendly and full of personality. And did I mention their Red Velvet Cupcakes and Mochaccino Brownies?! OHMY!

This is truly a hidden treasure. The food is to die for and the service is fast and exceptional. They have a variety of specials everyday and each one is better that the other. I really can’t get enough their soups… which I usually make a special stop for on the way home from work. If you live in the area, or even out of the area I would check this place out.

You have to look closely but it’s there, on the lobby level of a large office building. Café Mangia consistently has fresh, delicious food and friendly service. If you’re lucky enough to live or work in their limited delivery area, your food will be brought right to you with a smile. Great breakfasts, great sandwiches and great salads, all in really good portion sizes. Although I have not tried any they have a large selection of coffee drinks and I am sure they’re tasty. The only minor problem is that parking is not always easy, but the food is worth the effort to park across the street and run. Should you choose to eat there, they have great high tables and Food Network always on the TV — nothing like a little inspiration while you munch a yummy sandwich!

I really like eating here when I am working in the building or in the area. Yes the location isn’t ideal but the food sure is. I love their roast beef sandwiches(they make their own roast beef) and they always have a good selection of daily specials.
