Wow, amazing cartoon place. New book and old seletion book, comic books are packed by rows and rows. She recently incresed price.(1hr/$ 4, all day/$ 15) but, still low. That’s the mystery how she keep this place. very clean and comfortable seats My relaxing place to go. Hidden gem.

I don’t go to comic book stores as much as I should. I love comics… but just don’t have the time. But when I do, this is my go to place. It’s huge with plenty of selections of comics(all in Korean… sorry), plenty of comfy seats and the nicest owner lady who makes the BEST jja-pa-ghetti(instant jja-jjang-myun…black bean noodle they have at Chinese restaurants)!!! I often wonder how she keeps this place open because of the ridiculously LOW fees she charges. But I’m glad she does! So clean, no smoking allowed, quiet, relaxing. :) Just started Mr. cho-bab-wang(translation: Mr. king of sushi). Sooo fun~~

The info’s wrong, they do accept credit cards. They update their collection of books every week. I was impressed.

I honestly did not want to write this review to crowd this place! I’ve been to a couple of these places, but this is the place for girls who do not want to sit next to ahjussi-s who are smoking. They have the newly published comic books and is really clean and super duper organized. The lady who owns the store is super nice! For additional fee, you can ask for ramen or jjapagetti. You can get some of the snacks available there as well. If you park up front, make sure to leave their name card or let the valet know. If you valet, then leave your keys.(They have a lot, but they valet only the front portion, and the side portions, you can just park your own? It’s weird) Or park in the back. I believe the current rate is 3 $/hr or cheaper if you stay entire day. They are closed every 2nd Tuesday

I just have to share this story because it’s one that I’ll never let my husband forget. My husband & his friend who was visiting from Korea drove to LA about 4 months ago. One of his friends friend dropped them off at the back lot of Cartoon Mania. They spent the next few hours reading various comic books and eating snacks. My husband was a bit hungover so he couldn’t remember the name nor location. When we came down here last week he wanted to be dropped off here while I hung out with friends for the day. Unfortuantely his friend had gone back to Korea and my husband didn’t have his friends contact info so we drove around Korea town for about 2 hours going down the phone book checking out the various establishments, hoping to find it. The only thing he could remember was that it was next to a pool hall on the second flr. He was soo positive that this it wasn’t on Willshire, that we saved it for last. Well it turns out that 11 stops later we finally found it. Of the 4 other establishments that he’s been to before, this is the location that has the widest variety of comics and books. All books are in Korean and there is plenty of seating. He’ll be back at $ 3.50/ hr or approx $ 10+/ day.
