good place to get youre hair cut while the rest of the family goes grocery shopping next door. the most experienced barber is the 1st lady soon as you walk in the door. everyone always tries to wait for her, but the rest of the barbers are good too. they also do the designs on youre head alot of the young people get, like stars and all that stuff.

I came here because I needed a haircut and was in the area. Figured a cut out here in East LA would be cheap. Walked in, sat down, saw their pricelist and saw $ 11 haircut and thought OK not bad. Actually $ 1 cheaper than my usual place(Hauser and Adams). Only two barbers at the time and they were working on other clients. Saw that they were doing a good job so was at ease at my turn being up next with either one. Before either one was finished another came out from the back and called me up. Told him what I wanted and he said OK. I had seen the price list over looking to see how much they charged for shave and there was no mention of it. I told him to trim/shave beard a bit. At the end I wasn’t too satisfied with cut, seemed a bit bigger than I had requested and the beard as well. I figured for $ 11 +tip I couldn’t complain much. When I asked how much I owed him he said it would be $ 21! I was like wtf. I had exactly $ 21 but no way was this cut worth $ 21. My usual place does cut and shave for $ 12, $ 15 sometimes from another barber at same shop in mid city. $ 21 out in East LA? Preposterous!
