Chabad – Atara’s Judaica Book & Gift Store

What an experience to visit this Judaica store. First of all it’s easy to find and great parking. The rabbi, Rabbi yoseph, Makes you feel as if he is so happy to have you there. Joyful warm kind, I was byway blown away. Not to mention, they had everything. If you’re visiting LA it’s a definite must. You’ll receive the Chabbad way of welcoming. I’ll be back! Came in on the last day of Sukkot looking for a kiddish cup for our wedding. Found a beautiful set and then the owner insisted my fiancé shook the lulav! He also had a sukkah outside. Came away with a story and a beautiful item for our upcoming wedding.

Since Israel is deemed our promised land, Atara’s is truly our Gan Eden (Garden of Eden) of Judaica paradise. The environment is comprehensive (offering mezuzahs to yarmulkes along with items that fit every Jewish ritual and Holy Day.)
Walking in, you will be awestruck by their inventory. Everything is placed in a manner where you can seek what you are looking for in a very easy and precise way. However, products and items are not their only asset, it is a bookstore beyond description. Every element of Judaism (from prayer to analysis) is provided in published form. I was so impressed, that from children’s books to Talmudics, there is something for all to study, observe, and adhere to our faith.
Service is a mitzvah at this site. Yosef, the owner, is a true mensch. When you come in, he welcomes you. if you need a particular item, he shows it to you. Following that, he allows you the opportunity to look, hold, and choose based upon your need, price, and desire. I have never been in a Judaica store that is so unique, helpful, and diverse.
If you have to bring your children with you, there is an area where they can play, watch videos or read. That gives you the time to look and find your desired items, while letting your children enjoy their visit as well.
