Literally the best beauty shopping experience ever. The moment I enter, the lady held my hand gently as if I’m her long lost grand daughter and led me around the store talking about different products. She repeatedly told me I was a «beautiful lady» and after buying a few products and signed up for a membership I assume for promotions, she proceeded to throw gifts at me. I got such a nice travel makeup bag with many goodies inside. I also got a complementary facial that I came back later in the day for. I thought it was going to be a 15 min facial but boy was I wrong. It was an hour long!!! I can’t count how many shiseido serum and sheet mask she layered on me. She also used a steamer to open up my pores. Put warm towels on my face like at least 3 – 4 different times. Massaged my face, neck, top of head, back, shoulders. I can’t even. I’ve paid $$$ for numerous facials in my life but this was the best most meticulous sessions I’ve ever had! You have to try it to know what I’m talking about because I can’t list all the steps she did. Traffic was bad outside so she let me relax with the sheet mask for an extra 30 min. Wut?! I want to hug these ladies but that might be awk. I then bought the shiseido brightening serum and she threw another gift bag at me!!! Waaaat. Also, I’m in my early 20s and she had better skin than me as a 60 year old so I guess shiseido is good. I had a good experience here and highly recommend this place.

i stumbled upon this skincare/cosmetic store last year in Korea town and bought a few stuff. Last weekend i went back with 2 other friends and the same(older) lady vividly remembers me, as she greeted me «OH welcome back!» for someone who remembers me like that from just one experience, i think that is kind of creepy but in a good way! lol what kept me going back to this store is: VARIETYVARIETY. they have many name brands of skincare from Korean to Japanese. the staff here is Korean. The older lady knows more about skin than the other 2. but theres a bit of a language barrier still going on. I can speak minimal korean to them and they replied back with enthusiast, but i only speak enough to last short on a conversation. i gave this place 3 stars only because of the staff /service. The older lady is somewhat helpful and nice but the other 2 concubines of her are no help at all. They dont know what they are talking about when it comes to skincare. They dont know the questions to ask to a client, they dont know which products to recommend. if you ask them something they cant answer you straightforward. i tested their knowledge of skin care and asked whats the best NIGHTCREAM for moisturizing, firming and anti-aging. The two(inexperienced ladies) spoke to korean with each other, then went to point at OSSION brand which is a light day time moisturizer. I looked at them with pity and just smiled and said Genchanaseyo, which is «NO its alright’ in the most polite way. i was hoping they would recommend a night cream that is richer, with better moisturizing properties such a Hylauronic Acid, snail extract, etc. Ossion line of skin care has too strong of perfume which can irritate the skin and moisturizing properties are not that good. Although before i left the store, i was able to get my hands on some new facial masks, i bought maybe 20 of them. The ladies also complimented how flawless and vibrant my skin was. :)

Wow, I wish I met the lady the other high reviewers were talking about. My friend and I had a terrible experience here. We were walking around while waiting in line for the kbbq close by, and I was looking forward to a little window shopping. I normally buy my shiseido night cream from a different place, and I will continue doing so. While looking at the products, this woman literally followed right beside us for the Entire time while we were looking around, until we felt so uncomfortable that we walked out. She never said a word or asked if we were looking for something in particular. No word of recommendations. No polite gesture. It felt as if she were making sure no one was stealing from this store. I was very offended. I highly recommend not to come here unless you have a chance meeting with these elusive«wonderful» staff members I was unlucky enough to not come across.

This is my second review since last 2 years. Service stills great and awesome. This store is a Gold Club Member 2013(and also from the previous years). Tips: * When you buy any two products(Shiseido), you get a complimentary facial massage from the store;duration of 1hour and 20 minutes. This is awesome! I’m telling you. Last 2 years were different. * They also have free make-up(appointment ONLY) * They also give out free samples You can come by and browse around the store, they have so many products in the store.

One of the product that I always buy from this store is the Cle De Pau Loose Powder for $ 105. I have been buying this product only from here for at least 4 years since I’ve started using it. As someone has mentioned below, the owner here remembers her customers very well and she sure does remember me every time I go in there. They also have a book to record what products each customer buys and builds points for some rewards. Today, I happened to buy this product at a different place and their first question was if I needed a «REFILL». What??? There’s a refill??? For only $ 75??? Cosmetic City failed to offer me the refill when they know that I’ve been using this for a very long time. I can’t help to think that it was strictly intentional. This makes me remember one incident. I bought Bioken hair shampoo from here. When I used it, the texture of the liquid felt very weirdly thick and old. The owner explains that it is the original texture of this brand and it was fine. Since it was my first time using it, I believed her until I opened the same product at a different store. I ended up throwing it away and I just let it go. Dear owner, two things; 1st, you lost a very loyal customer for 10 – 15 years. 2nd, I hope you have a very wealthy life making chumps of money by being dishonest to your customers. Very shady.

This Shiseido Vendor location is wonderful. The lady who owns this location is very attentive, and she remembers you — no matter how often or rarely you go. I’ve been to this store maybe a handful of times but she always remembers me. When I first started going to this store, she took down my name, occupation, number, and birthday. Customer ID, I suppose. Whenever I go in, I get a discount because of it. I think she also treats you better depending on what you do for a living; you know how Koreans are … if they think you make enough to buy a lot of things from them, they’ll treat you better. At any rate, this small store has a great selection of beauty products, NOT just Shiseido brands. They’re very knowledgeable at this location and they also do makeovers. I highly recommend hearing them out when it comes to your skincare because they seem to know what they’re talking about, even at the expense of telling you their products aren’t for you. The only reason I gave this place four stars instead of five is because they call too much! I get phone calls from them fairly often talking about deals or what not. I actually have their number saved so I can just ignore it when it comes in. They leave voicemails alerting you of their specials too. They need to ease up on that. All in all, I’m happy with this location and am happy with the staff. If you want better treatment, I suggest you let her know what you do. She’ll treat you better that way. :)
