Food is always good and I feel like the secret is out about this place, because it’s more crowded these days.

Crown of India is a great representation of Indian food. And the flavors! Service top notch, and the food is excellent! A hidden gem… absolutely loved it.

The food is good and the price is right! Especially the lunch specials. HOWEVER, the service is deplorable. Last time I was there, we waited 45 minutes to get our food! It took 10 min. just to get menus, water, and utensils. Pathetic. I’ve been here many times, the food is consistent, but so is their lousy service. They don’t seem apologetic one bit.

5 stars for customer service. 5 stars for food portions and taste. 5 stars for delivery service. I’ve only ate there maybe once or twice but we always order for delivery(at least once or 2 x a week). We always get our delivery in less than an hour and food is always hot. Taste is spot on and portions are appropriate if not more. Veggie and chicken masala is soooo yummy! their cheese and garlic naan is soft and flavorful. I recently tried their chicken biryani-heaven! We try to go to other indian restos but always come back to crown of india.

I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without writing a review. Crown of India is the only place I trust for amazing Indian food, they never disappoint. I was introduced to them by an old coworker who is just as obsessed as I am now. Don’t be alarmed by the location, it’s worth the small parking lot and busy main streets. The atmosphere inside is very calm and welcoming. You cannot beat their lunch specials, I always get the chicken tikka masala with a side of spinach. The portions are huge and if you eat in person they provide complimentary naan for the table. The salad dressing is insane, so delicious. I usually order my food spicy and then dip everything into the salad dressing. Since I can’t always take time out of my work day to eat in person, I’m constantly ordering online(EAT24) for pickup and bring it back to the office. I absolutely love Crown of India and you will too.

I was so excited to spend a lazy Sunday in with a nice meal and decided Indian food would be the best option. so I ordered online for delivery and the service was so prompt! the food is delicious and came in a great portion size. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and it could definitely be shared with another person. I think the food is a great value for the quality, flavor, and service, and I will definitely be ordering from Crown of India again!

So many vegan options! Really great to find a place that welcomes vegans to ask for options. Food was delicious. I had the coconut curry with tofu and some naan even though the server was kind enough to inform me that the naan did contain dairy. Curry did was very flavorful and the medium spice level was great. I could taste the sweet coconut and left a nice spice on the tongue! Good amount of tofu too, I definately didn’t leave hungry.

We have been ordering from this place for years. Very good vegetarian dishes and tandoori. Always get thali style b/c their sides like Chana masala are not to be missed. Assorted flavors of naan like chicken and garlic are husbands fave and Vegetable soup and side of yellow lentils are mine(I’m not a vegetarian).

The sauce and food was decent, but what bothered me is, when I was paying for my food, I got a glimpse of the cook digging deep in his nose and flicking the booger into the pot he was stirring. That is disgusting, unsanitary, and he didn’t even wash his hands. The waiter saw that I saw it, and the chef even turned while my face was staring at him in disguist. I shouldn’t even be charged for my food because I saw that. This happened 1÷19÷2016 at about 7:30pm.

I have been going to Crown of India for years! I’m still in love and have yet to find better Indian food. The prices are incredible and the service too. The lunch/dinner specials are massive so expect to take home a bag(or loosen your belt)

Such colorful flavors from such an unassuming place — just viewing this spot from the outside, you’d have no idea! The only reason I can’t give it a full 5 stars is that I’m a vicious carnivore, and my 5 star ratings are reserved for places that can quench my carnivorous spirit. They also deliver incredibly fast. I ordered delivery using the RushOrder app, and the food arrived in about 30 min. Here’s a tip: if you use the coupon code«HUNGRY3» you get $ 3 off(hopefully it hasn’t expired).

Came here for lunch with colleagues. Food was authentic and a great value. They had a bunch of lunch specials. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and that came with a side and small salad. If I’m ever in the area again I wouldn’t mind coming back for lunch.

I really like to eat Indian food. However, it’s one of those cuisines where you either have to go during lunch and grab the AYCE buffet or with a group during dinner since everything is served as an entrée. It was lunch time and I felt lazy to cook at home on my day off so I was pondering where to eat lunch after completing most of my errands. I had Thai last night and a burger for lunch yesterday so I knew those two choices were out. Wait, Indian. Yeah, haven’t had that in a while but did I really feel like gorging on an Indian buffet somewhere? After making a few calls and seeing that most buffets were going for $ 9.99 and up, I found Crown of India that said they offered various lunch plates starting at $ 7.95. Well, hot diggity, that’s what I wanted because every time I go to an AYCE buffet, I stuff myself silly trying to take advantage of the AYCE offering and then don’t feel so great afterwards. This was perfectly priced I thought and sounds like a nice lunch so it was decided and off I went! The restaurant is in a somewhat run-down mini-mall and from the looks on the outside, you would probably either just skip it or not even know it was there. Inside however, was nicely set with tables and booths and a few decorations on the wall. The only waitress serving the place took me to a table in the back and set down a menu. The menu had a lot of great items listed. They definitely had quite the choice for their lunch specials from chicken tika masalas and curries to vegetarian options. I was elated actually to see that a lamb curry was listed as lunch item and that it carried the $ 7.95 price. I love lamb and it was such a great deal too so I knew instantly this was what I wanted. It took a few minutes for my waitress to come and take my order since she was flying solo today. I ordered the lamb and replied I wanted it spicy after she asked what level of spice I wanted. There was a choice of a vegetable side of either garbanzo beans or sag paneer(spinach) and I selected the sag paneer. She said I also get one whole naan. Dude, works for me! After waiting about 15 minutes, she finally ambled over and set down my plate. It looked really appetizing! Lots of rice and the lamb curry looked delicious! A minute or two later she came back again and dropped off my basket of naan. Yumz! Man, it was spicy! Just the way I liked it. After the first initial bite of the lamb curry, I could really feel the heat and after a couple of more bites, it lost the sense of spice but I knew it was still there because I could feel the perspiration on my face and under my eyes as I continued eating away! The lamb was tender and so, so good! The spinach was decent, didn’t really have much flavor but I still enjoyed dipping my naan in it. I’m so glad I found this place because I’m definitely coming back here again if I’m wanting Indian for lunch. The place actually filled up to where all the tables were taken during my time there. Lots of people from the surrounding studios, hipsters and creatives. If you’re looking for a good restaurant serving northern Indian cuisine, check this place out. I enjoyed my experience and will definitely return again soon.

Won’t win any prizes for décor or location, but in my book a restaurant review is all about the food. For my maiden visit recently, I knew I was onto a good thing when I found myself surrounded by twenty-four(I counted ‘em) Indian diners. There were obviously two reasons for that — the terrific food and the very nice family owners. Chicken Bhuna was among my best ever, perfectly balanced with ginger, garlic and spices. Just don’t expect over-exuberant, elaborate furnishings — which are often based on stereotypical cliches anyway. As Bill Clinton once said: «It’s the food, stupid». Great authentic Indian food. Well worth it.

For the flavor, quality and price, this is one of the best Indian restaurants in LA. Food: F’n great! I got chicken tikka(dry bbq) and saag paneer. Location: Ghetto. There’s a liquor store, pawn shop, dumpster and the occasional hooker that surround this place. Ambiance: Average Parking: up front and street Price: great, affordable Service: very friendly, good people. I come every week and love it.

Best Indian food in Los Angeles, hands down. Lamb Vindaloo on point. Every time I’ve ordered for delivery, the food has been hot and brought to me within 30 –45 min.

Fast Delivery, and the food was great! Only tried out a chicken curry as the Main dish to be safe so will try a more adventurous dish before I «dish out» five Stars… Haha, oh how cheesy. Anyway, had great naan bread, although I wish their menu has peshwari naan popodoms were not bad and great rice. This is probably going to Be my local go-to curry place!

Ordered delivery from Crown of India on a recent trip to West Hollywood and the food was wonderfully delicious! I called after 10pm and they were able to accommodate our order and within a half hour the food was delivered– piping hot, and neatly packaged, too! We had the Chicken Saag, Chicken Masala, an order of rice, and Cheese Naan. The naan was perfectly light and fluffy. The sauces Saag and Masala sauces were incredibly tasty with the perfect blend of spices that stood out from other Indian places I have tried through the years. Portion sizes are large, especially for the price, and we had left overs for a few days. Highly recommended!

The service here is great. The waiter was able to answer all my questions regarding the type of taste and ingredients used in dishes. Very attentive to the cusomter when it comes to water and anything else needed. It looks small on the outside but you will be surprised at how many people the place can seat. Once you walk in you immediately feel like you’re at the ‘Crown of India’ aka Northern India.
