one of the things i was concerned about when i moved here in 2001 was to find a good quality hair salon. a friend that i made here soon after tagged me along and because of her, i’ve been coming here since then. the place may look like a hole in a wall but the picture i posted says it all.

This place is not that attractive BUT the workers are very nice, and good!!! They did an excellent job cutting my son’s hair. My son never like going to a salon to get his hair done, he got traumatized by the other salon place that we used to go because they cut or scratch my son’s ear and it start bleeding. Smh! Well anyways my son was very happy and like his new haircut and his only 5yrs old. :) I definitely recommend this place for kids, adults, men and women. Let them know how you guys want your hair, show a pic., ask for suggestions and they will listen to you and make you pretty. You’re not gonna walk out regretting cutting your hair! Keep it up!

Hair and make-up are one of the most important things on a list for a girl on their wedding day. Marissa and Liza are an amazing duo. They did our most of bridal party’s hair and makeup for my wedding on October. They got to our hotel bright and early. Their sync and flow of doing hair and make-up went so well that we were on time for taking photographs. They even did my mom’s hair and make up as well! My mom looked gorgeous! Everyone looked so beautiful on my wedding day and definitely made a lasting impression in our wedding photographs. You can trust Dahl’s Hair Salon and they can definitely handle wedding parties of 6 or more!

To the rescue … once again. Maris will do full service if she has to. I wish I could go more often though. I refer a lot of people to her as much as I can.

Took my little brother here upon a family friends’ recommendation. Such a spacious place and well ventilated. My brother loved his new summer do. Place isn’t intimidating as other salons, and everyone is friendly. They can probably make the place a little more upscale by updating some interiors and furniture a, nonetheless it was a good experience. We will be coming back here for sure.

Wife speaking* Well. I dont know where to begin. I live in Lancaster which is about an hour and a half away. My mom gets her haircut here every 2 months with Marissa. She asked me to take her here for her 12o’clock appointment. They even called the day before to confirm our appointment! Anyway… we got here at 11 because we finished our errands early so we waited that hour thinking the salon would be open a little before 12. It was 12:03. The salon wasnt even opened yet… what the heck. Finally, a man who just drove by, asked if we were waiting for an appointment and my mother said yes(since she knew the guy worked here.) He kindly opened the doors for us so that we could wait inside before he parked his car. Fast forward. It was 12:20. A woman came in shortly and greeted us upon entering but that was NOT marissa. She said that she usually comes in around 1230. First of all, how does someone come in at 1230 when their appt is at 12. It was 12:40, and nothing. More hair stylists started walking into work and more ppl started coming in waiting for a haircut. The women who work there said they called and texted but got no response. Ten mins passed and NOTHING. I was pretty annoyed at this point and so was my mother. She said lets wait 10 more minutes and we did. Once it hit 1, one of the ladies said she’ll call marissa again but we were like F*** it and left. Not coming back. We waited over an hour. Fyi, the open/close time they have printed on their door is wrong. They need to change that.

Five stars is not enough to rate this place. I have been getting my hair styled at this salon for years. This Dahls was where I received my first hair cut as a matter of fact, and this is the ONLY place that I will let touch my hair. Although I am no longer living in the area and am now living in OC, I still make the drive to this location to get a cut. Don’t get me wrong, I have tried salons all around my area, but have not been as satisfied as I am with Dahls. Marisa and Lisa have been so good to me all these years. They know exactly how I want my hair and look. They even did my makeup for my sweet sixteen and high school proms! All the workers here are very kind and helpful. I love how up to date they are with the way they style their customers and for a very reasonable price compared to other salons that I’ve visited! I HIGHLY recommend this place if you are looking for a cut, styling, or make up done! THANKYOUDAHL’S FOREVERYTHING!(:

Well all I can say is that we have been good customers for years Until last week my wife had her hair done Arturo the stylist was hurrying up the process and told my wife not to worry once it dries it will look fine Boy was he wrong and rude She was not happy with results and when she called to ask them to look at her hair and try to fix it they said they would not touch her hair She then asked for a refund they would only offer her half the $ 120 she spent No need to argue with this type of bad business She later the same day had her hair properly repaired with better products at a better price We have never complained about cost so it’s definitely a slap in the face But probably for the best as we have found a better place My biggest complain is the rudeness behind the staff about not offering to repair problem and telling her that they won’t touch her hair Funny how in the past 9 months she has spent we over $ 500 on her hair at this place Another thing if you decide to go and use a ATM or credit card expect to pay a extra $ 5

Man o man i havent gotten styled here in years. But i definitely remember why!!! hahaha Maybe its because every stylist there is Filipino. But nothing against Filipino’s or our sense of style, shit im Filipino my self and proud of it. OKOK let me breakdown what happens when i go there. I walk in and sign in. The desk lady asks, «is there anyone you want?» and i say, «I want alot of people but what does that have to do with my hair?» hahaha — COOORNY!!! so i get seated, ofcourse i get the totally awesome flamboyant Ate(big sister) Vic, who we all know should be Kuya(big brother) Vic but who am i to change names? so he looks at my head, arms crossed, lips pouting, waves his hand around and asks, «MMM?» which in tagalog means, «Sooo how would you like me to cut your hair.?» I tell him how i like it, and he starts. Nows the fun part, the chit chat. it usually starts with, «sooooooo are you a Filipino?» and i say, «Yes im A Filipino!» hahahahahaha and then Dundun duuuuun… its the ultimate question… «Do you hab, girlllllprenn???» translation, «Are you currently seeing anyone at this time?» The lights turn off, everyone gets quiet and a spot light shines on my face… «Unfortunately, not at this time…» Now everything goes back to normal, the lights turn on, people start chit-chattering away. Now Ate Vic says, «i hab this friend, whos prom da Pilippines, i know you’ll like her, she berry berry fritty(very pretty), and she’s Mestiza(Light skinned), and she has no boypren(Boyfriend). I know you will LUB each adder until death do you apart. «HUH???» i think to myself, «aww man not this shit again, OK im single. but do i need someone to arrange my marriage? uh UH!!!» i say, «No thanks, i just got over a relationship and im not ready to marry your friend at this time.» and Ate Vic says, «Why do like girls? or you dont like Filipinas?» and i say, «Ofcourse i love girls, and i love Filipinas, im just not interested in a relationship right now!» and he says, «okokok boy, i will give you her phone number, Text her or call her when youre ready to Marry.» WTF??? hahahahahha by now, my hair looks amazing, this guy wants me to marry his friend, everyone in the salon is smiling and its a beautiful feeling once you get out of those doors. I don’t know why, but everything feels great after a fresh cut. As much as i love their work, and the people, i really hate getting grilled about not being married!!! hahahahahahahaha Its a funny situation and i think every Filipino/Filipina has been through this. Its far better then a barber shop thats for damn sure!!!
