Delice Bakery is one of the best bakery one stop shop in Los Angeles. I checked out @ about cakes and pastries and I’m glad I’ve found my new bet cakes and pastries in town. I went here for breakfast @ Delice Bakery yesterday. Everything they had in displayed were looking delicious and yummy. Their cakes and patries were in great taste, handcraft into perfection, awesome ambiance and of great service. Dine or take out… come and visit!!!

Delice is one of the fancier kosher bakeries you will go to. They have cakes, cookies, bread, and different pastries. On top of that they have breakfast and lunch food for you to sit in and eat or take to go. I happen to like their breakfast options a lot. If you like French pastries, then you will love Delice. Im just not used to some of the tastes, so I’m not the biggest fan of their pastries. Their cakes are beautiful, but I would only recommend a few of them, for the same reason of not liking French pastries. One cake I would recommend is the éclair cake– it happens to be my favorite item there. We got it for my mother-in-laws birthday and it was delicious. Another cake that was amazing was this layer cake with this rice Krispy chocolate layer on the bottom. I like all their breads. They are awesome. They are a little more on the pricey side, I think it’s because you are getting a great quality item. Bön Apetit

Went there for breakfast last Friday morning, food was delicious, we ordered more pastry take with us and the custard brioche was without a doubt one of the best things I’ve ever had. Great service, beautiful baked goods wish I lived closer!

I wish I could give this place less than one star. They delivered the wrong cake to my wedding. After the fact, they admitted they knew it was the wrong cake(in so many words), but would not offer a refund because«we didn’t return it.» Was I not supposed to have a cake on my wedding day because I needed to return it? What was I supposed to do? They dropped it off and ran. I am a reasonable person; mistakes get made– I get that. If this place apologized even, not gave a refund, just APOLOGIZED, I wouldn’t write this review. But not only will they not apologize, they put us through the ringer with horrible customer service, and lying, manipulative behavior. NEVERAGAIN. And I hope this review is enough to warn other folks away from relying on them for your special occasions.

I am a daily customer at Delice, a family run bakery on Pico. I’ve been going there for over five years. The standard of pastries, breads, etc is excellent. This is not Starbucks, where the service is so fast you don’t get to feel known or where the food is wrapped in plastic. It is a family business where relationships with customers are important. They say hello to me and take time to talk. While you are waiting you can see the hard work going on in the kitchen behind. Everything is made by hand and the ingredients are of a high quality. The cakes are a work of art! Delice has a feel of Europe, friendly and not rushed. In this busy fast paced world it is important to have a sanctuary like Delice to pause, smell the delicious aroma of coffee and savor the almond croissants!(my favorite) I highly recommend this café!

Customer service is excellent! We had a negative experience a short while ago and when I saw the owner recently he asked me what happened as I didn’t seek him out the last time. I was honest and shared my experience. He wanted to make it up to me and encouraged me to come back for a meal on the house with the rest of my family. We came back today. Had a delicious breakfast. We ordered poached eggs with hash browns and potatoes gratin. Each dish was delicious and perfectly made. I will definitely be coming back for more. As always their bakery is delicious as well. Croissants and baguettes are yummy!

Owner was SORUDE. Called a week before to see if they could make a specialty order for Hanukkah and the women said it would be no problem at all. I go to place my order by phone and he just says NO. Won’t do the order because they have too many. He was so rude. When i told him someone had said they could do our specialty order, he yelled at me and said that she was wrong. As a business owner how hard is it to be nice or at the very least, professional?

This is one of my favorite places to have brunch. Not because of the service, solely based on the food. This place loses 2 stars based on service alone. They often mess up orders, forget things, and occasionally rude. For a quick pasty this place is great. I wouldn’t trust them with anything more important than grabbing a bite with friends. Meaning get your cakes, and catering else where if you want someone reliable. Also the coffee is just ok, comparable to 7⁄11.

I was visiting LA for my daughter’s wedding and after 1 visit, I was in love with this bistro! My favorite was the crime brûlée, the best ever! And the tuna salad was scrumptious. They provided the sweets for my daughter’s wedding and it was perfection! Also, the owner and staff was very friendly. I went daily. My daughter who lives nearby goes almost daily ! I great treat!

The owner is an absolutely horrible person. He admitted that he messed up my cake order and then refused to refund any of my money and forced me to dispute it with my credit card company. I hate this place.

Ugh. I can’t think of a better word to use to start my review. I went here for brunch with a colleague. Neither of us were able to finish. I got some sort of cheese sandwich in a baguette. It was downright strange, and not exactly cheap. The service wasn’t too great either. After the less than stellar brunch, we decided to try some of the named goods. They were OK. Nothing to write home about. All in all, il go to LA Brea Bagel for brunch next time…

Horrible service. Some(not all!) patrons are rude to others and some(not all!) employees are unprofessional. How do you help someone who just came in the bakery rather than someone who waited a while to give their order first? In addition, even after I voiced I came in before another patron and have waited to be helped, I’m given a dead cold stare and told ‘I’m helping her first’. Really? He was so lucky I was having a good day and didn’t want to be the patron to throw some shade right back. Instead I stood there confirming that I am NEVER coming back to this bakery again and I’m definitely going to Unilocal about it. If you come here make sure you make yourself apparent cause if you don’t you’ll be ghosting around and will probably be dissed by one of their employees.

Great food & bakery. Order inside at counter, they bring it to you outside. Lack of tables(coupled with some people who stayed longer than they needed) posed a problem. The tables get cleaned by an employee brushing the crumbs to the floor, which invites flies. Otherwise good experience.

Give this place so much business, practically everyday. Love it. But when ordering to go please make sure you give your customers what comes with their orders. And when I proceed to call from work, don’t tell me I don’t know what I can do. Thanks! Disappointed.

POORTABLESERVICE !!! Waiters don’t come to you for the order, which is ok… However, if we have to come in and give our order it’s kind of annoying when other people take our table while we order!!! Very cramped tight space. Limited tables. Overpriced

BRIDESBEWARE: AWEFUL service. TERRIBLE experience with the cake! It was completely different then the one our company has talked about. LATE delivery– thank gosh we padded the timeline otherwise there wouldn’t have been a cake to cut. NO communication! Wouldn’t return phone calls, messages before wedding and also didn’t check in with planner once it was delivered. Horrible experience with the owner when we confronted him about the issue. Gave him many chances to fix his error and he had so much pride he didn’t even apologize! Overall– BLACKLISTED!

BRIDESBEWARE: I’ve never had an experience so negative that I’d wish to have negative stars reflected. I’m a Los Angeles based wedding planner and brought my client for a cake consultation with the family. We asked for a naked wedding cake. We came in showing Julien, the owner, photos. We spent one hour discussing the look of this trendy«naked» cake. He scribbled his notes on an invoice and we paid the deposit. One week before the wedding I tried to confirm details. Delivery time, final payment, etc… and no word back. No phone call back. No emails back. Finally I call the morning of the wedding, as I was anxious about the delivery even happening. Last I heard from him was months before! Finally the cake arrives. …LATE…and the delivery guy leave the cake and doesn’t get an OK with the planner. He left before I could even say hi or bye. When I finally did see the cake, I found a poorly put together white wedding cake. The complete opposite of what we requested. I knew the bride would be upset if she saw the cake so I asked the caterer to help me fix the cake before she noticed. By the way I give a major high five to the caterer, Blueberry Hill for helping me fix this scenario. After all was said and done, the bride loved her cake and the day wasn’t ruined. This was all fixed by the caterer and planning team. The following day I had available to connect with Julien, the owner, I told him of all that had happened, and he would not offer an apology or a refund. He said he didn’t write that in his notes so that is why we got that cake. So what was the point of spending an hour talking to him showing him photos? There isn’t much more to say on this topic, but that a good business owner would fix his own mistakes. This was not a small insignificant order. This was a WEDDINGCAKE. Most in his profession would take much care into such an order. To see how he handles his cakes and business is really unfortunate for all who come across him. I will never do business again with this place they call a bakery. Just a horrible owner, …and the cakes? Look equally as bad.

This place used to be an extremely good place unfortunately seems like they have a new chef or they just simply do not care but the breakfast was in utterly disgusting. I prefer not to complain to the workers cause they just do not care The wait time was pretty decent. But they charge for stuff without telling you previously like an extra 1.50 for an avocado. The potato tasted like crap and the egg was dry and crispy not what you expect when you pay 15.00 for a breakfast

When a store owber breaks the law and tells their customers they don’t care, they don’t even deserve 1 star. The department of consumer affairs governs the use of gift cards. Both state and federal law say that gift cards can never expire. Julien Bohbot, the owner of Delice feels that he is above the law. He says that as a matter of principal, he will do what ever he wants in his own store. He does not care about state or federal law. If he wants to set policy that is illegal he will because it is his store. I guess you should know this in advance before you buy a gift card. Who knows what other laws Julien Bohbot will choose to ignore? I would not risk shipping there and finding out. I have given Julien multiple opportunities to make good on this. I emailed him the relevant laws from the DCA website. He simply could care less! Shame on Delice and shame on its owner Julien Bohbot for not valuing its customers or respecting the law. since i posted this review i have been contacted by Delice employees via the message system on Unilocal and threatened with bodily harm. the threat came from Dylan who i believe is the owner Julians son, he did claim to be a partner, either way it was unacceptable! I have received many messages both online and offline about how awful their customer service is. they truly dont care or appreciate your business. its time we vote with our feet. the food product is good but their reputation for treating customers like crap, makes them a 1 star establishment and means that i will never shop their so long as the current management is around.
