Dinner in Los Angeles

Calvin and Clay are a wonderful married couple living in a gorgeous loft in just the perfect location in Downtown Los Angeles. About every Sunday or so (you have to check their schedule online) they open up their home and Calvin’s art gallery (right next to their loft) for a wonderful dinner. But it’s so much more than a dinner. It’s a time to connect with others in a way we just don’t do anymore. With the emergence of technology and cell phones and computers, it’s tough to disengage from our devices and engage face to face. But on Sunday night, I joined Calvin and Clay and about 10 people I hadn’t met before for a fun dinner with wonderful conversation in a beautiful modern loft. I ended up legitimately falling in love with the woman who was sitting across from me and have since enlisted her to be my life coach. Such a great networking opportunity — and just plain fun. The cost for the dinner is only $ 30 per person, which includes alcoholic beverages. Each night has a different theme — I went on a Mexican theme night and they served green chicken mole with rice and beans and started us off with crispy fried tacos and an amazing jiacama salad. Fresh margaritas and beers were available as the beverage choices for the night. Overall a 5 star experience — can’t wait to go back!
