I love love love love the taco salad and the chilaquiles I can eat them everyday and sometimes I do! Also the Guava juice is the best thing ever! Nice cashiers. Some cooks hook you up with the chicken. Also the chiles toreados are a must!

This restaurant took out my inner Mexican self. The cumbias played were very awesome and was tempted to shake my booty to the songs but I controlled myself. The cashier that attended me was very nice her smile was nice too. Although it’s a small place the Mexican vibe is very welcoming. I ordered some chilaquiles and they were ready in no time. I ordered my food to go but when I come to visit this place again, and I’m sure I will, I’ll stay to eat and enjoy the environment of the small restaurant. The art work in the walls are awesome. I have no complaints but just wanted to point out that the floors were a bit stained and dirty very little but besides that this place is a great place to munch on something really good. I strongly recommend trying this restaurants food.

Great Fish burrito. You really get your money’s worth and great quality too. Authentic! But please please get the AC fixed. This hurts business. It was 89 inside. The guy said the AC was not working. Get a fan or open the door or something! Next time order to go. Salsa bar was great too. Price was very affordable.

DISCLAIMER: I sincerely hope that by reading this review, I do not over hype this place for you, because it is seriously as good as it gets for me at this spot! I’m a firm believer and not going to the same restaurant more than once because I live in LA and I am fortunate enough to have so many choices, that are actually worth it! That being said, I can get past convenience, and this place does it for being so close to work. So that’s one star off the bat. The servers are nothing short of friendly, helpful and just patient, with a fickle person like me who gets overwhelmed with so many good choices. That’s another star! Being in LA, you’d be surprised how I always end up finding parking, I think this is because 1) they aren’t that easy to find(the first time — they are almost at the corner in between a clothing store and little mercardo). Their parking varies between metered and just plain street parking so I definitely recommend them for lunch mostly. Another star for always getting street parking. Okay and now on to the food. I’ve come here at least 5 times already before making this review, so it’s safe to say — THISPLACEISASGOODASITGETS! Breakfast — I love their chilaquiles! and their breakfast combo is so cheap! $ 4.99 for a full to-go Styrofoam box and they can make your eggs any way you want it. Plus it comes with a drink !! I always end up eating half for breakfast and half for lunch cause its so much. So $ 5 gets you two meals and a drink. And surprisingly their chilaquiles isn’t too greasy like other places i’ve had it so an additional plus I always get their tacos for lunch and just try to change it up but i always have to get at least one of my tacos CHARROSTYLE. Charro Style is basically kind of like fajita but better — they add guacamole, onions, and the very best part YUMMYNAPOLES(grilled/pan cooked cactus) — ALPASTOR — bomb bomb bomb !! My favorite! I recommend, reminds me of adobada. — ASADA — your normal asada, nothing too special, but in that regard, it wasn’t bad and i always order one of these — BIRRIADERES — not my fave! rather salty… after the first time, i stay away from this. — CARNITAS — nice and juicy — which is supposed to be standard but you’d be surprised how many places dry it out. So definitely try it here! — LENGUA — my boss ONLY orders this, and it is soft and not rubbery it all! nommm!

Giving it 4 stars solely on their chilaquiles! I’ve tried a bunch of their other food but so unimpressed. This is $ 5, includes coffee and is a big portion! The salsa verde is BOMB! Also, try their chicken sope! Cheap, comes with a ton of toppings and a lot of meat. So good!

The worse mexican restaurant ever. I went there after reading all the comments below and ordered a california burrito and al pastor tacos. Turned out they taste like rotten meat so i had to trash all of em away. SMH just wasted my 12bucks

I was looking for some decent Mexican food in Westlake area in Downtown LA, but it turns out it didn’t go as expected. The menu is big and it has all the goodies you would expect at a Mexican place. I ordered the Cemitas Torta de Milanesa and 2 carne asada tacos. I always judge a place by their tacos. Their tacos were over seasoned. The smell was horrible and who knew if it was even beef. The though of rat meat or another meat came to my, but I wont judge them on smell. I took a bite into the tacos and it was too salty. The meat was not good at all. I ate one taco and threw the other one away. The Cemita bread was too toasted. It was literally a rock of a bread. The Milanesa was thin and greasy. It was a dissapointment, I will not come again, but this is what happens when you you have a establishment being run by another ethnicity.

I ordered a carne asada burrito. One of the worst tasting burritos I have ever had. The meat, was not carne asada… it was round steak cut into little squares and then quickly cooked on the flat top with some oil… it was greasy and salty! Too much salt that it gave me the runs! YUK!
