Best carnitas burrito I have ever had. The flavors were so amazing and the meat was cooked so perfectly. The nopales and lengua are delicious as well. This taco truck is close to where I love so it’s very convenient. I could eat here every day.

I ordered several tacos from here, and they were fine for a late night snack. Are they the best tacos ever? No, but they get the job done, and it’s super cheap! Most of the meats were pretty bland. I mainly chose this truck because of the pictures of the al pastor spit, but the al pastor was on the bland side. It didn’t have those crispy edges that a spit is supposed to produce. The carne asada didn’t taste grilled at all and wasn’t really seasoned with anything. I ordered other various meats, and most were pretty bland. I thought the chorizo was good though. The seasonings and spices gave it a lot more flavor compared to the other meats. I wouldn’t mind coming back here for late night. I’ll probably just stick with chorizo tacos.

Not a bad truck to stop by when you’re craving a quick bite, especially at 1 o’clock at night. I just ordered the burrito with asada and pastor. Pros: pretty decent sized burrito for a little under $ 6. They also give you chips with your order. Cons: it didn’t stand out much compared to other trucks. Also, the chips were stale, but that may be because it was late at night. Also, don’t expect to find this place at the exact location on Unilocal.I tried looking for it there, but all I saw was an empty, dark street. It was only going back home after that I found it located on Santa Monica Blvd, thinking it was just another taco truck lol.

They do their best, they do get the wrong order every other time lol but overall you get what you pay for ! You cannot spent a 5 start service from a taco truck :) if you r driving by its worth a quick stop for some good tacos

Nice to have a truck of this caliber in such a ritzy zip code. I had some fine al Pastor, great carnitas and very good asada. Great late night stop, very good salsa, be careful, they are hot! at least I thought so. Its a great deal all around. Highly recommend.

The food was amazing! Was driving on the 405 back up to the Bay Area and looked up a taco truck and found this spot. Right off the fwy too! Great carne asada tacos and carne asada quesadillas! Gentlemen was super patient with my family and me as we all had specific toppings we wanted and didn’t want. Prices you can’t beat! Definitely recommend this spot

La Oaxaqueno is a decent taco truck. Tacos start at 1.25 each for asada and pastor, for example; if you want carnitas, lengua, or barbacoa, they’re 1.50. For burritos it’s a similar pricing scheme, at 5.50÷6.00. The carne tacos weren’t my favorite; the meat is somewhat on the dry/tough side. I might opt for the pastor next time; I had it in a burrito and it seemed more moist. Burritos are hefty, though not as humongous as some of the ones I’ve seen(I have a small appetite and was able to polish one off by myself after drinking/being very hungry). They have 4 different types of salsa you can get(tomatillo, regular, spicy, and another green one) outside the truck, as well as pickled radishes and onions/jalapeño. The radishes are meh but if you dare take the plunge and have super onion breath, those pickled onions sure do taste good on a burrito… It’s nice to have an easily accessible taco truck in West LA. At these prices there’s not much to complain about. There’s also not much to rave about, either, so that puts La Oaxaqueno at 3 stars for me.

Champurrado from a taco truck? YES! I can’t find it half the time in Mexican delis or food places. I also had the cabeza, pastor and asada taco. All this and a drink for $ 5.25. Not bad. Salsa condiments are good — try the pickled onion with cucumbers and jalapeño. Was interesting to see the variety of people who ate here. from the car load of girls who have probably only eaten a carne asada burrito their life to the person who grew up on food such as this and it feels like home to them.

If you’re on the West side(LA) and you’re STARVING for tacos, it’s late, and you don’t want to drive to East LA, stop by this blessing! Most tacos are $ 1.25. They have three types of sauces(yum, my favorite is the red and the avocado one). Surprisingly the red sauce, if you eat enough of it you will tear up(yay for spicy lovers like me). Ironically I never learn my lesson…

Tripe here was so flavorful, meaty, yet crispy! Probably the best tripe I’ve gotten from a taco truck. Pastor was good too. Tacos are a bit more expensive at this truck than the other ones, but still a good option for tacos on the west side: D

My go-to taco truck when I lived in West LA because of the convenience of location and hours – not all taco trucks open at 6:30pm, and this was just a couple miles away so I can make it home in time for them to still be fresh, warm tacos. Had the opportunity to come back for the first time in 6 months or so, and it tasted like home sweet home!!! Still as good as ever. I always get: cecina, cabeza, lengua, and/or al pastor tacos. I found these to be the most flavorful and tender. I never particularly cared for the carne asada – not amazing, not bad, but why get that when I could get cecina/cabeza/lengua?! I will say that the al pastor isn’t THE best al pastor, but close enough. I’ve introduced this truck to about 10 friends on separate occasions, and all of them honestly liked it – whether taco aficionados or only-ever-had-Americanized-tacos.(I hope you will too). All of them agreed that the food was great and price was great. So whether you’re on a tight budget or a big budget, this is your place to fulfill your taco craving!(At a reasonable time and place, given that you’re actually in this area). One friend dared to order one of each taco(12), ordered one of the platters, and 3 more tacos for another friend – all for about $ 24. Typical cost per person is like $ 6 – 8 depending on how much you order. but yes, you CAN eat well and be full and have some cash left overt! Life is beautiful when you are near a taco truck. Horchata here is awesome. Really sweet and milky, waters down nicely when the ice melts. Personally cannot handle things toooo sweet, so I like it just a touch diluted but still with all the flavor. Also for all those who hate LA parking: I usually park in the lot on the corner. There’s a bagel store there, and it closes by the time this truck comes around so I’m pretty much always able to find quick parking. Who doesn’t love easy(and free) parking?!

This place is my go to for my taco fix here in West LA. Every time I come here I can’t help but get their tripas tacos(the tripe can be made crispier upon request), with grilled onions added to the tacos for that extra flavor. Their carne asada(beef) tacos and pastor(pork) tacos are also really tasty, and I usually get a mix of those meat choices every trip I make. To wash down those tacos and hot sauce, I also usually get a cup of horchata, which is a sweet milky cinnamon drink, and it balances out the flavors in my mouth pretty well. What can I say? I just keep coming back to this truck.

Enjoyed a non-drunk taco binge with a friend of mine and these hit the spot. Feeling adventurous we ordered a plethora different ones. Since this was our first time here(and since they’d be hard-pressed to impress a taco truck lover like myself) I’m glad we tried a bunch of what they had to offer. Service was quick and cordial. Prices were great and cheap. It’s a no-frills kind of place, straight tacos and burritos without the typical combo plates of rice and beans. A decent variety of sauces: spicy verde, chipotle red, and another more mild and creamy green. My take on the tacos. Chicken — Standard, pretty tasty Carne asada — Flavorful and not overly fatty, consistency was close to ground beef Lengua — I’m not a fan but I’ll take my friends word on it that it was super tender and delicious Carnitas — The most disappointing of the bunch, these were super dry — they’d probably been sitting out for awhile Al pastor — My fav of the night. Super tasty!

My favorite is the pastor mulitas and pastor tacos! The horchata is fresh and tasty. I highly recommend it with any meal. As of January 2015, the truck is located on Santa Monica Blvd between Barrington and Barry. Right in front where the old Vons(currently under construction) used to be.

This is my go-to place for late night munchies. The owners are always really nice and the service is quick. They’re located on Santa Monica Blvd. between Barry and Barrington Ave. I usually get their el pastor and barbacoa tacos because they’re never a let down! It’s not as good as El Chato or Leo’s tacos, but if you’re around UCLA and looking for street tacos without driving far then this is the place. :)

I’ve been coming to this taco truck for about three years now. My roommate introduced me to it when I moved to the neighborhood, and it’s been a staple in my late-night food truck rotation ever since. Whenever I go I always order the al pastor, lengua or quesillo tacos. The al pastor comes right off a huge rotating spit in the truck, and it always tastes amazing. The quesillo tacos come with beans, tomatoes, avocado and cheese and is never a disappointment while the lengua is insanely tender and flavorful. The horchata and salsa options are pretty good too. It’s definitely the best taco truck in the area and the prices are hard to beat!

First things first, I try every taco truck everywhere I go. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu. The two standouts are the barbacoa, and the chorizo. A close third would be their lengua. Get barbacoa flautas. I mean, it’s insane how good they are. The burritos are phenomenal of course, and then salsa verde is legit and has a little kick to it as well. The one off items are great, like a chorizo omelette. The quesadillas are also large and a very good value.

Currently my favorite Mexican place. Super affordable and delicious. I’m usually here multiple nights a week. I’ve tried the ensaladas, tacos, burritos, and quesadillas. Slowly going through the whole menu. The asada, barbacoa, lengua, and cabeza are ridiculously good. And the BBQ chicken quesadilla is insane. I just finished eating there and I’m already craving more.

Great tacos for the Sawtelle/Westwood area! Perfect for any time, but especially for a post-drinking night. Their tortas are pretty good too! You can’t go wrong with taco trucks!
