El Pollo Grande

Even though there is a gigantic parking lot across the street, they refuse to deliver to me. I mean DIRECTLY ACROSS THE STREET.
When I try to explain this they play the «We don’t speak Spanish» game.
They already charge $ 3 for delivery. To me, «delivery» means you knock at my door with my goddamn food. It doesn’t mean we’ll do a drive by. I always tip 20%.
I work at home and I’m on the phone most of the time.
I mean if parking is a problem, just ask me if you can charge me for the damn parking lot. If you say you deliver, how you do so is not my problem.
With their rudeness and pretense of not being able to deliver, not to mention the steadily declining quality of the food (chicken starting to taste like flame broiled leather as of late), I’ve given up on them.

I was looking for delivery of Latin food in my area. This restaurant popped up and I placed my order. Minimum is $ 20 and $ 3 delivery charge. Well I was only going to order for myself and ended up with a Tilapia Plate, 4 Pupusas, 1 chicken Tamale and a fruit salad water for $ 21! Now that’s a deal
Delivery was about an hour. By the time I received it, it was still very warm and the fish was not soggy from sitting in a container for a while. The fish was perfectly seasoned and having the homemade corn tortillas made the plate even better. The rice and beans are to die for. I have nothing negative to say. Since the meal was for myself only I only took a bite of the «mixed» Pupusa which was also amazing. They are well made without the overwhelming amount of grease from other places. If I weren’t that full I would continue eating but that’s because the portions are pretty good.
Overall, I ordered on Unilocal,the delivery was made to my door and I live on the 11^th floor of a loft in DT were parking is not readily available. The food was still very warm. The meal was fresh and I would definitely recommend this place. I am looking forward to tasting there many other dishes they offer

and after reading the reviews — I decided to order.
I’m so glad that I did because the food is AMAZING! We ordered Chicken Tacos (delicious!), Super Nachos (tasty), cheese Pupusas (amazing for being so simple), rice (nice and fluffy). The order came with plantains (which happens to be one of my favorite foods and this was one of the best I’ve ever had!).
Food was not oily or salty — had the perfect flavor and taste and really satisfying. I highly recommend this place for great food!

if you are in the area and are craving some savory pupusas with a nice tall glass of horchata, COME HERE! I’ve been going to this spot since I was a little girl and it used to be on Hoover. The pupusas are generously sized and have a kick of flavor. They aren’t too greasy as other pupusas. The waitress and owner and super nice and efficient. Right when you sit down the waitress brings you an order of chips and salsa.
Although this spot is a little hard to find because it’s hidden behind a giant tree, it’s right by a fridge repair shop so look for that and make your way to Pollo Grande. You will not be disappointed.
Tip: Park in the parking lot right across the way. It’s free and you won’t get your car towed.

Horrible experience. Ordered some shrimp tostadas, they had some warm shrimp and some nasty black avocado.

Came in for breakfast and had the best hand made tortillas that were hot and thick! Balck beans with sweet plantains and eggs with mixed veges that left me full and very happy!
