Full disclosure — I LOVE CHICKEN. Where else can you get a healthy fast food meal (chicken and broccoli) for under $ 10?
This location was clean, fast, friendly, and the chicken was hot and tasty. Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

For the 2nd time the chicken has been over cook and dry. After speaking with the manager the result was either get a refund or wait until all the over cooked chicken has been given out before the freshly cook would be given. I took the refund which was a voucher since I couldn’t get a credit card refund.

This location seems to get a lot of hate for some reason. Maybe the management changed or something, but I’ve been coming here regularly for the past few weeks to pick up lunch and I’ve never had a problem. The establishment is clean for a fast food chain and the staff is always very friendly.
Notes:
–I usually get a 2 piece meal, sometimes I get a dinky piece of a chicken
–there is a parking lot here, there are usually spots open, but during peak hours, they may get fully occupied (like 4pm onwards)

Notice on door at Wilshire and highland location closed down by dept of health and safey, customer here with me said it was due to cock roach infestation. I am so disguised because I ate at this location a lot, but now I’m done with all El Pollo Loco’s. Dont trust any of them Guess its Baja Fresh from now on.

What a disappointment. We’ve been to this ovation several times in the past, although it’s been about 8 months since we went tonight. The girl who took our order was nice; that is about the most positive thing I could say, well maybe I can also add the place looked good still.
We ordered take out and when we got home we wound one of the 2 salads was not as we requested and the other was chintzy, about half the lettuce and chicken it should have had. We ordered the same salads at a different location and the salad was almost twice the size. Just a big disappointment. I would recommend go to the next nearest one.

This is so much better than the Crenshaw location in terms of wait time. Also this place is clean and the people care about customer service. A star off because Lizeth was having a possibly personal conversation with another worker and ignoring the new customer, me.

I crave El Pollo Loco from time to time. Have always stuck with the family meal with mashed potato and spanish rice sides.
This place offers parking, which does not turn into valet parking in the evening which is nice. I’ve never dined in so I can’t comment on the dine in experience.
The salsa bar can get a bit dirty and messy but I see employees cleaning it when I go. The salsa cups are on the tinier side so I just ask them for larger containers and they give it (however they want to know how many you want and only give you that many).
I don’t come here with much expectation… just that my chicken is not burnt or raw and I’m able to get it quick.

This Pollo Loco is across the street from my lawyer’s office. They remodeled it recently and did a really nice job. The thing that sticks out about this Pollo is tgat the chicken is always juicy and not dry like others I’ve been to. Also the staff is very nice.

Came in with my bf and god daughter trying to get some awesome deals as we always do with the coupons they sent out. I stand in line and straight from the start they weren’t to friendly. I start ordering and the cashier doesn’t seem to know what she is doing took her about 2 min to input each item. I then let her know that I have 2 coupons, she says they can only take one per transaction or I ask her to call her manager (sully/​zulli) because I constantly use upto 3 coupons and I have worked at another location. So with a horrible attitude she says she will do it and walks away. Then cashier can’t get it to work and says there system is down to take coupons WTF THATS RIDICULOUS!!! And she says they can’t over ride it. Very dissapointed I walked out empty handed and went to another location

I love me some El Pollo Loco. Always take out, never dine in or you will be disappointed. This isn’t exactly a dine in restaurant. Seating is not comfortable, for a reason! Get in, get out.
Yes, as other reviews have stated, the salsa section is dirty, but when several people overload their salsa containers, things will get spilled and counters will get dirty. Don’t blame the workers, blame the customer’s parents for not teaching their now adult kids to clean up after themselves. Today, I saw a worker clean the counter only to have three people mess it up as soon as she left. Whatevs! I love chicken, messy counter or not.

I’m a huge pollo guy and I love El Pollo Loco. This location is okay but the worst thing is the overall cleanliness. Sometimes this El Pollo Loco can be downright messy, with sauce containers all over the salsa bar (sometimes in the sauces) and tables not being cleaned down.
Lucky for this Loco it’s conveniently nearby, otherwise I would go to another Loco.

This place get 4 stars on the «Fast Food» scale for sure.
the people that work here are always super nice and super helpful. It’s one of those places where they come around picking up trays when you’re finished and chatting with the people at the table.
That and, lets face it, their chicken is awesome. It really is. If you dont like the chicken here — you dont like chicken!

What can I say. It’s El Pollo Loco. I’d say they’re all pretty much the same.
I will say El Pollo Loco (all of them) have the smallest chickens of all the chicken places. They aren’t much bigger than a Cornish Game Hen!
I think EPL is overpriced for what you get.
Also, this particular El Pollo Loco doesn’t have a Foster’s Freeze. Bummer.

So there i was, having my delicious BRC burrito at el pollo loco when an employee approached me to offer a complimentary wet napkins, toothpick, candy, or salt and pepper. She was going around offering these to all patrons. Crazy. I was really surprised. It was a good surprised and i’ve never seen this happen at El Pollo Loco before. As you can imagine, that was enough to win some points with me and i’ll definitely be back during lunch time.
The burrito was delicious by the way. The salsa bar was well stocked and clean. I was having lunch alone and although the place was packed there seemed to be no creeps in the building. i liked that.
