My husband and I bought an incredible Phil Stern print here a little less than a year ago. I’m not a big Unilocaler, but after a not so great experience purchasing another print at a different gallery at Bergamot station, I realized how important it was to Unilocal about how awesome Fahey/Klein is. I’m not someone who pretends to know everything about art, I buy what I love. I’m not a wealthy person. I’m young and I save my money to get things I really like. The owners of this gallery took the time to show me around, introduce me to Phil Stern’s work, didn’t pressure me into buying anything and helped me make really informed decisions. There was so much love and attention when talking about Phil Stern’s work. They were extraordinarily knowledgable and were just as excited to teach us, as we were to learn about him. We’re getting ready to make another art purchase this year and I am excited to return to do it again. If you are a person who wants to see great art collections or if you’re a person who wants to purchase great art… this is the place for you! No egos, no pushy used car salesmen, just people who love what they do and are happy to share it!

I was invited to another art gallery’s opening reception. So, we came to check out some of the works of Phil Stern photographs. Another good gallery on La Brea. Parking: Street metered parking. Here is more about Phil Stern: . I had an opportunity to get my picture taken with him. He was wearing an oxygen mask and sitting in a wheelchair. When it was my turn, I asked him, «how did you get access to all of these stars?» He answered, «I don’t remember.» The place is pretty nice to view artwork. The space was pretty open. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Overall, if you are into photography, you must check out this place. I highly recommend this place.

Came here bc of a friend’s recommendation to see the Dan Winters«Last Launch» Exhibition and was pleasantly surprised by the unassuming character of the building/space, the openness and the friendly staff. Definitely a nice little spot to check out for some great photography.

Located in a very unassuming building on La Brea, Fahey-Klein is a contemporary photography gallery that represents a lot of fashion photographers like Peter Lindbergh, Patrick Demarchelier, Bruce Weber and others. I recently saw the Ellen von Unwerth show there, which I enjoyed.

Thanks Steven L. for helping me find this unique and awesome photography gallery. I have never been to a photography gallery before and ever since getting a DSLR to play with, I was excited to see what I could do and what others have done. I stumbled upon Fahey-Klein as they were displaying photos from a recent late artist whose influential photography focused on the lives of great jazz musicians. Again not knowing much about photography I find it to be amazing that photography has this ability to capture sometimes things that you wouldn’t even think about. Sure you see pictures of happily wedded couples or intimate moments at weddings but it’s almost negligible when compared up against the dripping sweat of a jazz musician and the wrinkles in his forehead as he belts out a hard hit note on his trumpet and you see the air blasts around the trumpet and imagine the phenomenal sound that must have come out in that very split second. It’s quite incredible.

This is one of my favorite gallery to visit. Fahey-Klein specializes in Photography. Representing some of the most influential photographers of our times. This is not a flashy building so you can easily miss it’s grey painted brick walls. But it’s the content that will keep you coming back. So the next time you’re in the mood to check out some photography, check out Fahey-Klein Gallery. Cheers!
