Difficult to find… not facing Sepulveda… facing parking lot in back… not especially upscale surrounding… but food is tasty and delish… will definitely return when in the area.

This has been a favorite place usually go once or twice a month. I ordered chicken bowl on 5⁄19 at noon by 3 I had chills and felt sick. I laid down and a few minutes later was violently ill. Will be reporting to Health Dept.

Bowls half empty. Standard flame broiler food, but they charge more than other locations

We ordered the organic tofu bowl and the chicken bowl with vegetables and rice. Absolutely delicious, service was fantastic and we will definitely be coming back soon! The staff were so warm and welcoming, and brought our food outside to us. The restrooms were very clean and the restaurant had a lovely atmosphere. Overall, a great place to grab a quick bite and easy parking right outside.

Just left there 10 mins ago ordered two bowls for a coworker and I just to get back to work and realize my half and half bowl DIDNTHAVEANYMEAT only rice and vegetables and my other bowl was barley full… So I call and explain to the«manager» Xenia and she says I can come back to get the meat. I WASONLUNCH I can’t come back now! then she says she can’t refund the money without the card I used and to let her know what I want to do so that I can get the money back OR the bowl again. SMH how about for the inconvenience & gas you give me my money back and the bowl. So much for customer service I never knew they had so many bad reviews I see why now. Price went up service went down. After today I won’t return !

I appreciated the good service from the cashier, the chicken bowl was tasty, but the portioning was all wrong. I ordered a regular sized chicken bowl with rice and veggies and it was a lil more than half full. I definitely will not be coming back to this location. #HOLDOUTS #FLAMEBROILERONSEPULVEDASUCKS

I go here because it’s close to my job and they are usually fast with giving me my food. The last couple of times though I feel as if they were training people in the middle of the lunch rush. My order was wrong but by the time I got to work it would have been pointless taking it back. Besides that, they are nice and polite.

…feel ripped off… my bowl is barely half full… wat happened?! …rice + chicken + vege… bare touch the inner mid-rim… :( small pieces(fingernail size) of chicken… which is mainly in my half full bowl of chicken vege bowl(only a few large pieces of chicken) …small pieces are char-burnt…rest are over cooked n dry… sauce is salty… white rice is watery/mushy…

It used to be my mom’s favorite. Use to get her three mini bowls(chicken and beef) and that would last her throughout the week. It is a smaller location compared to some of the other locations and can get pretty packed during lunch. There are a few tables outside but it’s nicer to be closer to the magic sauce. I ordered the chicken plate with all white meat. It comes with salad, half an orange and rice(brown or white) and green onions. The white meat takes a little longer to cook but it usually warm and freshly cooked compared to other meat that can be waiting on the grill for hours to be used. The shredded cabbage and carrots are good if you add enough of the sesame dressing. Another good and quick meal that is located close to home.

Flame broiler tasted good as always, but pretty disappointed at the lack of food in their new«bigger» bowls. They advertise new big bowls, but only pack it half way. I asked and the lady at the register said that’s how they measure it and it costs more for more rice. Idk if this is a new franchise-wide thing, but I mean… Rice is cheap as hell. That should probably change in my opinion! If it’s only this owner, I think you should really consider making an adjustment because clearly the reviews show that customers are unhappy. :/

Wish I read the reviews first before coming here. I’ve never had issues at other locations getting all broccoli but here the woman tells me they won’t replace the carrots or Cabbage with all broccoli it’ll just be four pieces… what!!! I only came because I forgot my lunch and can only eat chicken veggies and rice. If I had time I would’ve gladly took my services to WaBa. They’re much better anyways.

We love flame broiler in general. We’ve tried this location a few times, and every time the portions are about half what they are every where else. We will not be returning to this place, and as you can see with everyone you can expect this if you go. No thanks.

So this is a shame I ordered the regular chicken bowl and it seems they forgot the rest of my food! the bowl was only half way full for 7.52 wow really? What’s that all about? I’m definitely taking business elsewhere where my money gets me a lot more then just air. Sincerely, Someone’s lunch you ruined

Wow flame broiler what happened!!! I come here all the time and food has been good. Now prices went up a bit and portions went down. My bowl was barely half full! I guess I’ll find a new beef/chicken bowl spot. I shouldn’t be able to look in my bowl and count all 11 pieces of chicken. I had hardly any rice. Like I said the bowl was at the halfway point of being full. Food used to hit the lid now I’m paying more for air. Thanks but no thanks.

This spot sucks. Why was my to go bowl ½ full. The portions here are ridiculously smaller for some reason. 1st time here gonna be last too …

I’m always up for a chicken bowl. The pictures of the bowls up on the menu look really good, so I thought I would try it. They also have posters all over their windows that say«No Dairy» «No Frying» ««No Transfat» «No MSG» I went all out and got the combo bowl, chicken and beef with brown rice. When I got it 23 seconds later, it looked nothing like the picture and it was half full and not to the top like the picture. I understand that pictures of food are meant to look better, but quantity should not be deceiving. It was very dry all around and I would like to know what’s in their secret sauce, because it’s too sweet and I’m sure it it not too healthy. The only question I have for them is why don’t they have a poster in the window that says«No Freezers»??? Rice beef and chicken should not taste this strange, dry and bland… The best part about it was the brown rice, because it tasted like brown rice…

I don’t know how I haven’t ever heard about this place, because eating a good bowl is one of my favorite things. The bowls are healthy and tasty. The chicken is great. I opt for the white meat, since I don’t care for dark meat chicken. I did try their steak, but it was tough and chewy, so I stick with the chicken. Nothing fancy or extra special, but a great place for a fast, cheap, and fairly healthy meal.

Hard to blame Flame Broiler for being so lame, but not all Asian fast-food joints are the same. Olivia Z. and I were aiming for anything Asian for dinner and only had a short window to find it. We came to Flame Broiler thanks to Unilocal. The address is Sepulveda, but the entrance to the restaurant is from the huge parking lot«behind» the buildings. She claimed the Chicken Veggie Plate with half Chicken bits and half Steamed Vegetables on a bed of White Rice. The $ 7.65 plate comes with a Cabbage Salad(no dressing) and half an Orange. My combo plate($ 7.85) was similar except I skipped the veggies and went with just Beef on Brown Rice. I loved the Orange. It was sweet and bursting with juice. It was by far the best thing in the combo plate. Kudos to the chef who sliced it in half. As for the rest of the food, it was pretty tough, dry, and lacking in flavor despite trying to drown it in a «Magic Sauce.» Did I eat most of it? Yes. Was I happy about it? Not really. Of course, you don’t expect a meal-o-fame for under $ 10 or anything, but 2 stars is 2 stars and Flame Broiler was just 2 stars. Service was fine, parking is free, the restaurant was nearly clean. The problem was the quality of the mediocre meat and tame flavor. The description for the food Flame Broiler sells is right on the sign because you can’t spell the restaurant name without lame.
