This place was okay. They were helpful enough but a little gruff… and kept commenting on the fact that all synthetic wigs aren’t as good. Which may be true, heck idk… But it got a little uncomfortable. However, if you’re a gal looking for a place for human-​hair-​wig-​hair-​care then I’m sure this is the place for you!

I have been buying wigs from Fuzzy Navel for the past 10 years and this place is the BEST. I have Alopecia and have been wearing wigs for over 30 years. Mati is an absolute pro. Not only does she know everything about wigs and hair but she is the best stylist in the city. People are always asking me where I get my hair cut. Fuzzy Navel has a great assortment of hair pieces at different price points and Fuzzy Navel stands by their products. Mati and her brother Chaim treat everyone that walks through the door like family. The place is always busy and Mati and her incredible staff are hard working, talented and professional. This is most definitely the best place in the city to have a wig made or styled. OR, just to get a fabulous cut and color!

Mati and her team are extremely professional, carry a great selection of high quality wigs and will take the time to teach you everything there is to know about wearing and caring for them. My family and I felt fortunate to have found this salon as I doubt there are many places as good as this in the entire country.

Best place to buy a wig! Good quality wigs, very knowledgeable staff and the owners are always ready to help, they have been in business for 20 years and are also very honest. I am very happy with my wig and with the place.

I saw Fuzzy Navel listed on a cancer resources document (for wigs) from Cedars Sinai. I of course looked them up on Unilocal and I agree with all the previous glowing reviews.
I had begun chemotherapy for breast cancer and was told my hair would definitely come out, so I wanted to get a wig sorted before that happened. I made an appointment with Mati where she showed me quite a few different styles. I chose one I liked (BTW– all her wigs are 100% real– no synthetic– and they are beautiful and well made). She said she would highlight it to match my color more and cut it more like my style (with bangs). She then showed me what I needed to know once I lost my hair– how to tie scarves and wear hats for those times I didn’t want to wear a wig, what to do if/​when my eyebrows and eyelashes fell out, etc. She even offered to shave my head when my hair started to fall out, as it would start to itch, etc. She was so lovely and spent an entire hour with me, my husband, and friend.
So the wig… at first, I looked at this as an opportunity to have the hair I had always wanted, not to look exactly the same as I did before the chemo. My young children AND my husband staged a mutiny on that («No way, Mama! That is NOT you» when they saw my long, thick, beautiful new wig– too much different than my thin, shoulder length mousy hair, I guess). Long story short, I went back to Mati and team 3 times to have her cut and highlight more and each time they did it, no problem. Mati was so sweet about it. They ended up matching my hair color EXACTLY, which considering I didn’t even know the real color of my hair, was amazing. The cut is now like my «old» hair as well (though a bit longer and definitely thicker, which I LOVE!). Everyone that sees it can’t believe it’s a wig.
When my hair started coming out in clumps, I called Mati and made an appointment for her to shave it that day. I brought my two young kids and husband with me and Mati was wonderful. She did it in a private room, made sure my kids had drinks and treats! It was as close to «fun» as an experience like that could be.
I will say, the wigs there are expensive, but well worth it in terms of quality and DEFINITELY worth it in terms of customer service. Mati is a treasure and so is her team of stylists.

I purchased a wig on a whim. I knew I could never wear it as it was at purchase. I live some distance from Hollywood but happened to be staying there for a couple of days. Checked Unilocal for wig stylist and found Fuzzy Navel. Called and got right in. So kind!!! I think Mati is the wig whisperer. Went back today for a tune up on the cut. Looks so good! Would not let me pay. Geeze!!!

I’d been wearing wigs for several years before I went to Fuzzy Navel — several of my previous wigs were also very pretty, long and blonde — but only lasted a few months which was stressful. My new wigs from Fuzzy Navel have proven to be durable — no loss of hair, no tangles, base cap is still good. I highly recommend stopping by the shop and meeting Mati and looking through their (vast) selection of wigs if you’re shopping for a new wig. Mati truly is an Expert!
