Huge portion on the tonkatsu combo that comes with the pork, beef, and fish cutlets. Salad, rice, mac salad, miso soup, and kimchee radish are included. Not long wait time either. Great for lunch if you want to get full

This used to be my favourite korean style tonkatsu, and my favourite food court joint. I try to frequent this place whenever I crave tonkatsu and don’t have the time or company to go to Wako or other tonkatsu restaurants(this tonkatsu is very different). I always liked the tonkatsu sauce they served at this restaurant along with its side dishes. Portions are humongous and priced very reasonably and the food comes out reasonably fast. The food is always served hot and fresh. The old lady at the countery(Businessowner?) was always nice. And unlike many other korean businesses and food court joints I always appreciated that they accepted amex. Decided to stop here last night, since I was craving tonkastu and it seems that the owners have changed. The lady at the counter(new businessowner?) was not as friendly as before and(small detail but not important) they only accept visa and mastercard now). I really didn’t mind the lack of friendliness and the change in methods of payment as I always enjoyed the food here. When the food arrived I noticed that although the food portions where still very generous the taste was not the same. The side dishes seemed to be the same, but the pork cutlet and the tonkatsu sauce has lost its original taste. Although the pork cutlet was fresh and recently fried it seems that the breading coating has changed and its not as crunchy. The sauce, which I always thought made this place stand out, has lost its taste. Hopefully things will change and I will be back to normal.

This place is great! For the price, you get a really good deal cuz the plate is huge! I’ve been coming here for years now whenever my family and I take a trip to Koreatown. The wait for the food is also shorter than other restaurants it seems. One of the downsides is that this food can make you quite thirsty while you’re eating but they only offer small water cups so you have to make frequent trips to get more water.

The best choice at the Food Court. The pork cutlet batter was so good. It tasted slightly of spices and curry. So good.

This place is so friggin’ good. We got the combo and got to try a little bit of everything. My favorite was the fish. The curry is so delicious. I also enjoyed the macaroni salad which had raisins in it. It seemed weird to me, but turned out so good. I’m glad I came here :)

Craving a humungous order of Pork Tonkatsu? This is it! Located upstairs at the Galleria Mall Food Court, for about $ 12 two could get full off of one order. Comes with two large pieces of perfectly fried pork cutlet, steamed rice, macaroni salad, and their own version of coleslaw which was the perfect unhealthy food fix for this fatty. :) I think I actually prefer this joint to Wako Donkasu. Too bad it’s at a mall. :-/

Really good tonkatsu. Big portions and fair price, but the thing that made me want to write this review was their sauce. I don’t know what they put in it but it’s so deliciously unique. I feel like it has a hint of tomato to it. Anyways, if you’re ever at galleria and fiending some fried meat, this place is your spot.

The place is clean but a little more expensive then the places around it(outside the galleria like a block down) BTW many pictures are ugly but the food looks better then the pictures they put on display/

The portions here are huge. You can share with someone! So so yummy. Not too greasy and just huge enough for two. I would just say that the sauce is not that great. Too watery…

I love this place, and I love the ahjummas that work there. 1. Koreatown Galleria: Parking is easy 2. I always get the #7 — Miso Spaghetti. So good all the time, with garlic bread and pickles. 3. Big portions for a $ 12 meal. I can only eat half. 4. The food takes about 7 – 10 minutes to make, enough time to get a Boba across the way. 5. This is a good place to practice my Korean. «Kamsa Hamnida». I need to get a hold of the formal/informal speak on top of that. There’s about 10 other dishes to choose from but I always go with the spaghetti.

I was really let down by this place. The portion was huge and the salad dressing was also pretty good, BUT… the soup that came with the food was inedible and the donkatsu sauce tasted really weird. I don’t know if it was a one time mess up or this is their regular tasting food but I mean how hard is it to properly make miso soup? MIne tasted more like watery miso flavored tea or something. On top of that, there’s really not much that can go wrong with crispy, deep fried meat. And that’s the reason I eat donkatsu whenever I’m in an Asian food-court and feeling uninspired by everything else. It’s my to-go food sort of speak. The meat was ok, but the sauce as I already said was way off. Which makes me really appreciate those restaurant that serve this dish with the sauce on the side. On one hand if you dont like it you can skip it entirely and use sriracha or whatever else is available, and on the other hand the meat stays crispy for the entire meal. When they completely drench it in the sauce it gets to a complete soggy mess by the time I finish my salad and start eating the meat. One star off for the bad sauce, one star off for the watery soup and one star off for the lady with the wild hair who came and joined the people at the table next to me during my meal… she felt the need to squeeze her chair so close to mine and then turn her back to me with her hair literally getting all over my face and food!!!

Their portion is so much larger than wako and it tastes very good. Unique, it has a bit marinara and donkatsu sauce. It’s as closest I’ve had to Korean don katsu. There used to be a small hole in the wall called ha yan jib(white house) that sold«the korean don katsu» but they didn’t have enough business because they were REALLY small and unnoticeable. Anyways, the price was about $ 13 and it comes with rice, salad, macaroni salad, miso soup and gakduki(cubed radish kim chi). Well worth the money if you compare to other korean katsu places around!

3.5 stars — this place isn’t the best for tonkatsu, but if you’re at the galleria food court and are craving it, then don’t hesitate. This place gives you a lot of food for about $ 10. They also give you a scoop of rice, scoop of macaroni salad, lettuce with a green colored dressing, a small bowl of miso soup, and a good amount of gakdoogee(sorry this might be wrong spelling — but radish kimchi). They top it off with a slice of orange. The cashier was nice! You may want to ask for sauce on the side, because your tonkatsu might get soggy by the end.

I have been to the Galleria only a couple of times, so when Carol L.(unni) suggested we eat at the Tonkatsu place inside the food court for lunch, I was intrigued. I was warned that the portion was really big, so my friend and I decided to share one donkatsu($ 10.95). When our number was called and I saw the food, I was shocked! The portion was massive! My friend and I shared this and we couldn’t finish it! I wish there was more rice, but you can always ask for more. I loved the macaroni salad it came with as well as the green dressing for the shredded cabbage salad. Also, since our party of 7 all ordered from this place, the owner lady came by and gave us free garlic bread! We are so easily won over… =P

I hardly go to The Galleria, but I will go more often now that I tried Galleria Tonkatsu. I was so surprised. How can foodcourt food be so delicious? You will find Galleria Tonkatsu at the very end of the foodcourt — at the corner. There, you will be greeted by a friendly Korean woman. The tonkatsu is absolutely delicious. The portion is huge. I shared one order with my boyfriend and we were both satisfied. You get two big slabs of tonkatsu covered in some special sauce, rice, salad with a mysterious green dressing(delicious), mac salad, kimchi, and miso soup. I love how they prepared the meal. Even the salad was decorated. I will definitely go back. You get your moneys worth for sure. I’m craving it now already. Yummm.

Out of all the choices in the Galleria food court, I usually choose this Tonkatsu. I usually get the beef katsu for $ 12. It comes with steamed rice, kimchi, macaroni salad, a cabbage salad with a to die for green mystery salad dressing, and a beef katsu that can feed two people. Yup, you read that right, the beef katsu feeds two people. If you are cheap, ask for an additional side of rice and split that gigantic katsu sucker. Good: Tasty mystery green salad dressing and the gigante katsu! Bad: The overpriced side salad(but the dressing is sooo good!) Final: I recommend this place because if you came to a food court for Korean BBQ, what’s wrong with you?
