I came here with two friends and had the backyard burger and some fries. The burger patty was great, but the bun and cheese were the likes of what you’d find at McDonald’s. For $ 8 I expect something of higher quality than what I can buy on the Dollar Menu. That being said, while the food was a 2, our server was great. He was attentive and attended to our needs(we were in a bit of a rush to get to the arc light and he was fast with the food and the check). The bus boy was over eager: I thought he was going to pull the half finished water glass right out of my hand. Overall this place was okay. But for $ 13(that’s just for the food — I only drank water) I expect better service and a better burger. Next time I’m in the area I’ll go to Chipotle: the quality is better for my buck.

My friends and I originally intended to go to Tender Greens for lunch. When we walked in, the line was out the door, and we just didn’t have time to wait in such a huge line. We walked out and decided on a whim that we would just go two doors down and grab a burger. We walked in through their side door(apparently) and was told to go to the hostess table to get seated… only to be taken back to a table we walked by to get to her table in the first place. The server was super friendly, and you could tell that he really wanted to sell the dishes on the menu. Looking at the menu, I could tell that they did a great job in describing the dishes to make you want to taste it all… The rest of the experience, however, was a let down. I had the Cod Tacos, and they were okay. My friends ordered regular fries and waffle fries for us to share. The taco was decent — nothing to RAVE about. The fries were SOOVER-SALTED!!! There was a staff at the bar playing on her phone while everyone else was running around and customers were waiting for their checks, waiting to pay, or waiting for refills. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with the place.

Truly so cal. Lots to choose from this boutique burger joint… what do I get? A tuna melt. But how savory. I get it protein style. With the fries, with the bread, with the view on Vine, it was really tasty… to top it off, I have a spiked milkshake to go. Look out I-5.

On the merit of the food alone, this place is a 3.5 or 4. The burger I ate was juicy and covered in a perfect balance of maytag bleu cheese, grilled onions, and port-sautéed mushrooms. The sweet potato fries were crisp and sweet. The dressings were delicious and imaginative without being pretentiously obsessed with truffles.(And I say that loving truffles.) But the service pushed it way over into 5 star territory. I sat at the bar, and asked the bartender, Alexis, for a fantastic cocktail. She immediately recommended an off-menu«signature» of hers, involving gin and muddled cucumbers. I was hesitant, but went with it… absolutely delicious. Clearly I was in the hands of a pro. Four inventive and meticulously crafted cocktails later, and she proved her taste again and again. I was a happy boozer. When my medium rare burger came out well done, I mentioned it but offered to eat it anyway because the toppings were so tasty. She strongly recommended I let her send it back, because«the kitchen should not do whatever it wants, it should do it right.» Wow! I felt like I had a champion on my side. Within minutes, I had a perfectly cooked burger on my plate, and it was divine.(The kitchen, while they didn’t get the timing right at first, turns out some excellent stuff.) I was so appreciative of Alexis, in terms of skill and service and personability(important for solo bar patrons!) that I will absolutely be back. The occasional kitchen snafu is nothing a dedicated server can’t rectify, and the whole experience proved 5 stars.(Oh, and try that burger topping combo, it was awesome.)

3 star is adequate. I thought they carried quite decent burger, and I am surprised their rating is quite low. I had customized burger with bleu cheese, bacon and some other stuff. My friends ordered steak salad and his girlfriend ordered something else I don’t remember now. Then we shared duck fat fries. My burger was good but my friend, who ordered a medium rare steak, ended up having definite rare meat. While he didn’t really complain and he said it tasted decent, I think this is a huge mistake especially their store is under the name of BLT steak. Huge mistake. Service was alright.

After a movie at the ArcLight, my friend & I walked across the street in search of a lunch spot. I had not noticed this spot before, and I figured, «How bad can they screw up a burger?» Not exactly an endorsement, but sometimes it’s best to keep your expectations low. On the advice of our waiter, I opted for the Smashed burger, and paired it with sweet potato fries. Now, I love, love, lerve me some sweet potato fries, and am quite partial to those from The Counter. Here at GO Burger, I tried one or two, and that was enough to stop me dead in my tracks. The burger was only slight better, and I managed to plod my way through about half before giving up. The service was friendly & efficient, so at least they have that going for them.

I went here with my bf on an extremely hot day. Go Burger is right at the corner of Sunset and Vine. It was nice and cool inside. We were greeted immediately. The water came out within a minute, but getting a refill took time. We ordered the Miso Hungry burger and the Ahi tuna BLT. We also ordered the waffle fries. The Ahi tuna was made with fresh ingredients. The Miso Hungry burger was good.

I would give this place 4 stars — the food was excellent, my shake was awesome, the fries were pretty delicious. But this place is a modern diner, and this was DAMNEXPENSIVE! $ 70 for two burgers, a side of fries, shake and a very bad glass of wine. I had the Mac & Cheeseburger, and the meat was incredible. This food is super rich. But it is just so hard for me to justify paying as much as we did($ 12 to $ 18 for a burger!) when it’s basically a diner.

You know, I was gonna go 4 stars here but forces are compelling me to drop down a rung. I love burgers. A lot. I frequently come across new burger joints since So Cal can’t seem to open enough of them, so there are constant options. This place stuck out because I drove past it on my way to Amoeba, thought about it at Amoeba, so then I walked here. After Amoeba. It was early afternoon on a weekday, so the spot was dead. They’ve got some big comfy booths. The menu has a lot of good looking options, but I went with my usual«get something absolutely gluttonous» routine and ordered the Mac N’ Cheeseburger. This thing was hefty. The burger comes topped with a cylindrical fried cake of mac n’ cheese, bacon, caramelized onions, cheddar, and homemade ketchup. Eating something this big isn’t a daunting task, and I dove right in and devoured massive chunks of this beast before my stomach started trying to slow me down. The issue I have with burgers like this(i.e. topped with other«bad» things) is that it flies through my system faster than a Jamaican bobsled team. There’s just so much grease. I enjoy the minor voyages into culinary experimentation, but things shouldn’t be THIS heavy sometimes. After eating a burger like this, you want to lie in the fetal position for 30 minutes while someone puts a cold compress on your forehead. It’s grueling. Grueling & tasty, though. We also got some duck fat fries. Why do people rave about these so much? It’s a fry, just a lot more fatty,. And rich. When I think about rich duck things it reminds me of Ducktales. Weird digression. Anyway, these are pretty tasty but I’d take a crispy sweet potato fry over them any day.

We went here last week after checking the menu at a couple of the neighboring restaurants. This one has a great menu, so we decided to dine here. First off, our server was great. He was very helpful and took very good care of us. One of the things on the happy hour menu was bacon cheddar tater tots. We were told the happy hour price was only if we at at the bar. We didn’t care, we wanted to try them. We also thought the grilled onion burger sounded good(Smashed Burger). It’s basically grilled onions all mixed up with the burger, then cooked. I ordered a side of Parmesan roasted broccoli too. The tater tots were just okay. And for the $ 7 non-happy hour price they charged, I expected more than the 5 that were on the plate. The menu says the burgers are cooked medium. Generally this is okay — I like my burger more cooked than not. Our burgers were rare — nearly raw. Mine was nearly inedible. I would have sent it back, but we were going to a concert and needed to get out fairly quickly. So instead, I picked around and ate the parts that were somewhat cooked. We didn’t care for the broccoli. There was some seasoning on it — it tasted almost vinegary — that we just didn’t like. Overall, we were very disappointed, especially since it has such a great menu.

Lunch here on a lazy Sunday, I say lazy because not many patrons, and it seems that everything and everyone moves kind of slowly — in a good way, if there is such a thing?! The hostess was very engaging and gave us our choice of seating. We chose a large booth underneath the TVs showing what else, basketball and football! I opted for the turkey burger and a side of fried pickles. My hubby had the beef brisket sandwich and the blue cheese tater tots. And we both ordered an adult milkshake called Grandma’s Treat. My burger was pretty good, but the fried pickles not so good. They were very greasy and tasted mostly like batter. My husband liked his sandwich but was a little frustrated because it was messy and kept falling apart. He also gave me some of his tots. Good but I couldn’t detect the blue cheese flavor. And the best part of all, Grandma’s Treat! Wonderfully thick vanilla milkshake with caramel and bourbon. Now, I’m a little upset that my grandma was holding out on me! Why didn’t she make me this treat when I was growing up! Overall, a good experience. A little pricey and service is a little lacking, but hey it’s Hollywood, and most of these peeps are just waiting for their big break. They had some interesting sounding salads and tacos on the menu. I hope to return and try some of those items, and of course, more Grandma’s Treat!

GO Burger is one of many restaurants in the area to offer deluxe hamburgers and alcohol-infused milkshakes. After walking past it many times and feeling curious, I decided to finally give it a try. Okay, so, they had an item on their specials menu called«blue cheese tater tots.» That sounded like the best thing ever. The tater tots($ 6) were large and scalding hot when they arrived at the table. They tasted more like fried macaroni and cheese, if one were to use blue cheese in such a concoction, and they could have amped up the blue cheese flavor a lot. Still, I loved this idea, and they were deep fried and hinted at blue cheese, so I was happy with them. You have the option of customizing your own burger or choosing from the list of existing burgers, which is always nice(even though a veggie falafel is completely Not A Burger and should not be listed as such, c’mon). I chose the Smashed Burger($ 9), which is a hand-smashed burger patty with onions and American cheese. It’s not too complicated or fancy, but it was certainly tender and delicious. The quality of the patty was really nice, and the onions were plentiful and flavorful. Overall, I really enjoyed what GO Burger had to offer, and if they’d dole out a little more blue cheese, I’d be even more anxious to go back. This time, I settled for a cider, but next time, I’m going for one of the coffee-and-liquor shakes.

What do you do when you find out that your rent is being raised, you need two new tires AND you owe the suckas at the IRS a few hundred bucks? You go get yourself a big sloppy burger, some crisp french fries and a chocolate shake to drown out all this madness. I tried the Ultimelt which was just a fancy patty melt. It was okay, the rye bread seemed a little like cardboard, but definitely edible. We shared the truffle fries, which i thought were excellent and the blue cheese tater tots, which were also pretty darn good. I think the highlight of my meal was the cherry coke that they made with real cherry syrup.(Do «real» and«syrup» even belong in the same sentence, my bad.) My friend had the mac and cheese burger — a burger patty topped with fried mac and cheese– I’m not gonna comment on that, i just thought you all should know!

Dine LA Lunch Review, 2013 Located on the corner of Sunset Blvd and Vine St. Parking is limited around the area(no free lot), valet is available. Your best bet is to park on the smaller streets nearby. The value of the lunch prefix menu($ 15 prefix) is poor where the average between ordering from the Dine LA vs Regular Menu is $ 1. I couldn’t believe it was only a saving of ONEDOLLAR!!! I forsaken the Dine LA Menu and went with their recommended choice of Burger, Mac N’ Cheeseburger($ 12), and a Shake($ 5). Here’s my take on my orders: Mac N’ Cheeseburger — Super filling. Layers of a sweet round bun, deep fried layer of Mac N’ Cheese, smoke sweet bacon, thick patty cooked medium. You’ll need to cut the burger in half if you want to take bite from this fat piece of art. This burger was a little too greasy for me with the cheese, meat, and bacon added together. But if you’re in the mood for something hefty, get this burger!(3-star) Guacamole $ 8 — Small Cup of Guacamole with Chips. A bit Salty for my taste, has chunks of avocados and mashed avocados with parsley. Small cup size portion(2-star) Cod Taco $ 8 — Two piece of small tacos delicately made. Their sauce is spicy, so try some of it before you start pouring it on. A bit pricey for two fish tacos, but they are good(3 ½ stars) Milkshake $ 5 — No extra canister for me to finish the leftover shake? Boo! The Shake comes in a small tall glass with whipped cream and sprinkles. I could have done the shake without the sprinkles. Although it was pretty to look at, it was a pain chewing on it while I’m sipping on my smooth shake. Overall, this is an A-Ok spot. I wonder how long this place is going to last since the competition for a good burger is high in this area. They do have a great location, but I have had better burgers. The orders are all A la carte, so you’re meal averages around $ 20 a person. i would’ve given this place a two star, but the service here was outstanding! Till next time… maybe.

Great option for dinner before or after a movie at Arclight! BF and I came in last weekend on that rainy Saturday after seeing Lincoln. It’s not a huge place, but not small either… only issue is there’s no real waiting area, so unfortunately people were kinda awkwardly crowded by the hostess stand. The host staff did seem to work diligently to get people seated and names taken quickly, which was a nice. I guess people typically wait outside in front, but because of the drizzly evening, people didn’t want to use that option. I know we were at a burger place, but for some reason I thought the salmon burger sounded good! I loved the tanginess of the pickled red onion and tartar sauce. My boyfriend had the ultiMelt burger, he didn’t realize that it was on thin rye grilled cheese sandwiches, a bit hard to hold it all together. He ended up keeping the toothpick in the sandwich while eating just to make it easier to eat. Great service, chill atmosphere, people watching out the window or sports at the bar. I’d go again if I was in the area.

Most ridiculous service in Hollywood! This place is down right awful! I’m kicking myself for not going to the gym today and cheating on the most fabulous Fabiolous two doors down to come to this shit hole! Let’s see the menu has been totally re-done and well… it’s still awful! Pellegrino is $ 7 a bottle — which is a little steep but I refuse to drink tap water and they don’t offer bottled flat. The waiter brought out wine glasses with water spots all over them for our water — not sure why, but fine. I was here with a group of 5 and it took F.O.R.E.V.E.R to get anything on the table! I have no clue what was happening in their kitchen but I did witness other tables order, eat and leave before we even had appetizers on the table. 2 of 5 ordered tomato soup — can someone please explain how in this world it takes 45 minutes to pour tomato soup into a bowl and walk 15 feet from the kitchen to our table with it? because I’m having a tough time understanding this. The shakes were terrible! and this is a first, I once believed the shakes were the only thing this place had GO’ing for them. We ordered a salad, shrimp tacos, 2 grilled cheese sandwiches(which were noted as cheddar on the menu yet made with Brie) and a burger. If you want a Brie grilled cheese and great service, do yourself a favor and go next door to Bodega. I could have driven to the Westside, bought the ingredients to make these entrees, prepared them myself and driven back to Hollywood by the time the food made it’s way to our table! I absolutely will never return to this place.

I gotta say I had mediocre 3 star expectations but was quite impressed with my meal at Go Burg. Who orders Patty Melts? My dad maybe. Well I did on this visit bc the Ultimelt has been dubbed the«best» Patty Melt in LA. I can’t say if it’s the best bc I am no connoisseur of patty melts but it was damn good. At first sight I thought the rye bread was too thin. It was not. It was thin don’t get me wrong but but that thin texture completely made this burger and it surprisingly held up the meaty juicy med rare patty just right. I didn’t even read the description so I was pleasantly surprised when my first bite was filled with a thick strip of bacon. There was plenty of sweet caramelized onions and I thought the use of gruyère really sealed the deal and truly made it an «ulti“melt. Going back to the beginning of the meal now, we started off with the Jalapeño Poppers. A crispy deep fried batter was just right but it was the cream cheese center that made these pop. The chipotle ranch sauce on the side made you want to dunk the whole popper in and have a spicy saucy bite. Milkshakes seem to bring all the people to the Go Burg yard so of course we had to indulge on one. each. The boozed Aztec Mocha caught my eye and they happily made it for me sans tequila. The coffee ice cream kicked up with cayenne and finished with chocolate syrup was just right. I personally would have like more cayenne for that huge kick but the subtle notes that I did get was dare I say hot. Like in a sexy milkshake kind of way. Service was friendly and attentive. Our water glasses were always full and our main server even laughed at our lesbianic joke. She laughed so damn hard I really think she thought we swung that way or she had never heard a joke of that sort before. Parking can be tough but the offer free valet for the 1st hour and then it’s a $ 5 flat rate after that. Being in the hustle and bustle of HWood the prices are on the up and up, especially for lunch BUT they just started Happy Hour(3−6pm) so I’d say that’s totally the time to check them out at a more affordable dime.
