i’m constantly amazed at how good i feel when i leave tara’s chair. i haven’t had the best experience with hair stylists in the past, partly because i’m OCD and (a bit) picky as hell when it comes to my hair, but she manages to set me at ease and knows just what my hair needs. there is nothing more important than attentive, GOOD service, and that is what she provides — on top of being über creative and talented. my cuts stay looking fresh and last anywhere from 2 – 3 months which is great for me and my busy and hectic schedule. best of all, i get compliments on my hair constantly!

I went to Tara to go from long to short hair, which can be very scary. She was excellent at helping me figure out what style to go with and gave me a fresh hair cut, which I love. And she made me feel good about my hair so pretty much she’s the best.

Oooooo yay! I’m the first to review this amazing hair stylist! Tara Ellis is the only hair stylist I’ve been to at Shag. I saw her before she was at Shag and would see her no matter where she goes! Tara is talented, sweet, accommodating and so very down-​to-​earth– it’s a wonder that she can make you feel so beautiful!!! Her hair cuts are amazing — I always end up feeling rather good about myself after leaving. My real test for a good haircut is not how I feel after leaving the salon though, it’s the grow– out phase. And my hair always grows out looking pretty darn good after a cut with Tara!!! I also like that she listens to what I want, shares ideas so that it’s more of a collaborative process and seems to really enjoy her work. I’m fairly certain doing hair is one of her (many) God-​given gifts! ”
