Jacks Key Service

Jack’s Key Service downtown seems to be a well-​stocked locksmith shop. I can’t say for sure, though, since they were unexpectedly closed when I tried to go.
I called Thursday to see if they had a special type of key blanks for a project I’m working on. I was assured that yes, they did, so I let them know that I’d take 25 and I’d be in the next day.
On that Friday (which was yesterday), I called once again at noon to confirm their location and to make sure my order was bundled and ready to pick up. As I was leaving to go there at 2:45, I called again to ask whether they were open on Saturday as well. They told me that they usually were, but they were not open *this* Saturday. Fine, I said, I’ll be right there.
Getting there took all of 15 minutes. Standing outside buzzing and calling took 10. When I finally reached someone, he told me they were closed — at 3pm on a Friday, with all of their «open» signs lit up and all of their sandwich boards set up outside.
You’d think they might have mentioned that any of the three times I called and told them exactly when I’d be coming in. FAIL.
Don’t use them — they don’t deserve your business.
