New watch battery — $ 10. Ok price. However, when I went to give the clerk my card, he came back and said«card declined» — I asked him if he did the chip and he said yes(I watched him swipe) and asked him to try one more time while I called my bank. He tries again while I’m on the phone with the bank and it comes out with«approved» at the bottom for a total charge of $ 10.90. Bank confirms on the phone that the charge went through as well. The clerk says that it ‘didn’t’ go through because it didn’t ask for a signature. I pointed out where it said«charged» «approved» and«thank you!» at the bottom of the receipt, indicating a purchase. He said no. I called back the bank, now feeling uncomfortable and they confirm a second time that the charge went through, too. The clerk then says«you write down your name and number and I will check tomorrow and if it doesn’t go through, then I’ll call you» — WHAT?! Sir, we’ve established that the charge went through. It also shows approved on the receipt. I proceeded to tell my bank that this was a suspicious environment/clerk and to please watch my account for the new few days as I don’t feel comfortable with this establishment having my card information. Not worth the cheap price. Not a great area, either. If you do go in there, don’t give him your card.

I took my 1945 Elgin watch here because it needed some adjustment, it wasn’t keeping time correctly. He said it would cost 80 dollars and it would take 3 weeks to get it fixed. Wel, today I go pick up the watch, and it’s completely broken. Its impossible to wind it, doesnt work at all. He says this is the way I gave it to him. If I were you, I wouldnt trust this crook with anything but a battery replacement. STAYAWAY!

I’ve been coming here for the past 10 years having my battery replaced and watches adjusted. This guy has been in business for 30 years so he’s doing something right. On a side note there is a great hat store two doors down

Quick watch battery replacement is $ 6. It took less than a minute. The guy is okay, neither friendly nor rude. Park at the side street in residential area.

2nd time I’ve gone to this guy for a battery replacement where a piece fell out mysteriously during the battery replacement. First time was on a Casio calculator watch. All buttons worked. Went into change the battery and got it back and the key pad did NOT work at all anymore. Didn’t bring it back, had it fixed at Casio for $ 20, so this guy cost me an extra twenty. Casio said a crucial piece had fallen loose when the watch was opened. Now I give it a second chance and lo and behold I get my other watch back after a battery replacement and a piece of the face has fallen off into the space between the glass. Coincidence? Or bad technique. You be the judge. What I do know is that he then wanted $ 15 to fix that, what just happened during HIS repair. Don’t go here.
