Their cake donuts are some of the most moist ones I’ve ever had. Absolutely delicious. Don’t be fooled by the exterior or the low prices, these are great donuts!

The apple fritter makes me cry, it’s so good. The fry oil tastes like its gone on a carnival tour for 20 years, picking up the tastes of all the best fry bread the country has to offer. You don’t get that at the new fancy donut shops. And then they leave it in just a little too long, so it gets that slightly overfried and wonderful crispness that you DONOTFIND anywhere else!!! So I was gutted to hear this place is going out of business. Believe me I’ve tried to find a comparable fritter in LA; there isn’t one. This was it. Bar none the best regular purist’s donut in the city. Shame.

Got an almond-covered old-fashion donut for a quick stop before heading for dinner. It was really delicious, although you’d also have to take into consideration that I was famished at this point. But for only 95 cents too! I was definitely not complaining. The Asian owner seemed really timid but nice too, and I was happy with his service. I asked for a receipt(which took a while – I guess people don’t really ask for receipts anymore?), but he promptly did as I asked. The parking lot was a bit sketchy, but this place definitely has worthwhile donuts!

Parking in lot is Tight! The donuts I’ve tried here were fresh and fair. I hope they are not made with LARD. Their coffee was fresh and fair too. This place was fairly clean. Only two stars because they add on an illegal extra fee if you choose to use your bank debit card. I like to do business with shops that take my bank debit card for payment. I will be back very infrequently. I have not carried cash for a decade…

Breakfast on Monday, 6÷1÷15(first time visiting) On my way to work, I noticed this small donut shop in the same plaza as Baskin Robbins. There was parking in the small lot since it was still early. There was also no wait in line. There was a small selection of donuts available and the lady said because she likes to have them fresh for customers when they come in. It was 5 minutes until 7am. The filled donuts were not ready(raspberry, lemon, and the custard). There were no apple fritters either. The popular donuts were available though and pretty fresh because they were still warm. The consistency of the donuts were fluffy. The maple bar was slightly different in taste but still good. I walked in ordering a dozen donuts but not sure if I would come again this early since the selection was small. I also would prefer donut shops that offered a flat box rather than the«cube-looking» box to avoid the icing on the donuts touching each other or being smashed.

K&C Donuts is definitely not one of the over-priced specialty donut shops that keep sprouting up all over LA. This is a small«no frills» place on the end of a strip mall in Silver Lake. The fried dough goodness is usually warm and fresh and the service is fast, even on busy weekends. You can’t expect much more from a local donut shop!

My friend and I stopped by for a quick donut after our Thai lunch today. Full disclosure: I’d seen Jerry Seinfeld and Sarah Silverman stop there in their«Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee» segment and the donuts looked amazing. Guess what? They sure were! The best glazed doughnut I’ve had in LA. Even better than the donuts in the 3rd Street Farmers Market, which up till now had been the best. These are incredible.

Really friendly Asian guy behind the counter. Not sure if he was the owner or not. My glazed donut was bomb.

This is an exceptional donut shop. Nothing fancy — but try the raised glazed and the cake. Top notch!

Well done K&C donuts! We enjoyed their plain chocolate donut sans glaze or frosting, and Apple Fritter. Both were out of this world de-lish. I’m not sure what kind of oil they cook with, but there was a hint of corndog flavor that was surprisingly awesome. I know it sounds strange, but we really enjoyed it. The chocolate donut was delicate, fluffy, with a slight hint of crisp on the outside. The Apple Fritter was a beautiful deep brown with a shiny glaze and had all the right ratios of apple, crispness, dough-ness, and glaze. Do yourself a favor and get a donut from K&C. They were also quite friendly.

Hey, it is a donut shop. It has the usual drunk laying at a nearby sidewalk, a few unruly kids in the area, and a friendly face behind he counter. Lottery ticket with that?

Went on a Sunday morning, no problem parking. Yes, the people working don’t speak much English, but keep in mind you aren’t performing brain surgery. I got cream filled and sprinkle donuts, which were super fresh.

this donut shop has been here FOREVER. i can guarantee at least 20 years of this«forever» since i’m a bit older than that and i remember coming here as an elementary school child and getting donut holes with my $ 1 monthly allowance. i assume management/ownership has changed several times since, but this donut shop continues to be a hole-in-the-wall silverlake fixture. today, for one dollar, i got 12 donut holes and a walk down memory lane. mind you, the donuts really aren’t all that awesome, the parking can be a pain in the butt because it’s located in the same strip mall as alegria which gets super busy, but tasting nostalgia can be so wicked good. they have the typical donut selection but i think the donut holes are the best deal. for a buck, you feel like you made out like a bandit… and i can’t believe that after all these years, it still costs $ 1 for twelve donut holes. yeah baby, no inflation up in here. thanks for reminding me that i was a child once.
