Kerri has been my Pilates instructor for over 10 years now.(Full disclosure: She’s also become a good friend of mine.) She’s an excellent instructor of traditional Pilates, with a few variations thrown in as needed. She does both Mat and Reformer Pilates, but I tend to prefer her private reformer lessons(because in a group setting I’m a big cheater). She’s well trained and passes that training onto you, to the point that when I tried to try a new instructor(I live in Santa Monica and trekking to dtla is sometimes a chore) I couldn’t find anyone to measure up. She’s also hilarious, and willing to push you to your limits while being vigilant that you’re(not cheating) doing your exercises correctly. She also works very well with specific injuries, pregnancy, and limited mobility. If you have special needs, I highly recommend Kerri as an instructor. When she has a special case, she does her research and makes a plan that is tailored to you. I think she’s great.

I have been going to Kerri for pilates about 5 years now. I have been practicing pilates for 15 so I definitely have an idea of what I want out of a session. I have several injuries I challenge her with as well, from torn rotator to degenerated discs. Kerri always has a well thought out routine for me. I leave there feeling like we maximized the hour physically and got some good neighborhood gossip in.

Kerri is awesome! I am the type of person who will half-ass my workouts and Kerri keeps me in check in a funny yet firm way. An hour of working out with Kerri goes by in a flash. I usually don’t realize I’m working out until the next day when my body has that great feeling of having had an awesome workout the day before. Her home is warm and inviting and it’s so much nicer than going to a gym or studio.

I like Kerri. A lot. 1. She’s funny and says ridiculous things. which helps get you through any self inflicted pain you may be in(self inflicted because you pay to be there). 2. You get everything from her you’d expect from a trainer. Undivided attention, workouts tailored to your needs, etc. but the biggest plus is that she’s a pleasure to be around, going back to my first point. 3. She’s really flexible with scheduling and tries her best to accommodate you. She probably has one of the best and most flexible cancellation policies I’ve seen, which just shows she’s trying to help you out. Most places you have to cancel before the 24 hour time frame or else they’ll charge you for the session regardless, but Kerri let’s you reschedule within the week if you need to cancel in the 24 hour time frame, which is immensely helpful. 4. Fair prices, I did some research before I picked Kerri and she had some of the better pricings for private sessions And lastly(but most importantly), it works! After 3 months, I noticed real changes in my body(e.g. the emergence of muscle) which was a great change from the skinniest fat person alive(at the time). It never felt like a chore to go to her sessions and they were always semi-fun(as fun as working out can be for someone who hates it with a passion) so the three months flew by and next thing I knew, I had arm muscles! Pick Kerri as your instructor! You won’t regret it!

Some folks do Pilates for the Stars. Not Kerri. She does Pilates for the Broken. Bad knees, no big deal. Broken collar bone, can work with that. Back doesn’t work, not an issue. Kerri has guided me through many injuries and the breakdowns caused by over use and aging. She researches well, is flexible in the use of modifications and in, normally, very friendly. Highly recommended.

I have been a client of Kerri’s for the past eight years. Kerri is an excellent pilates instructor, who has worked with me during three pregnancies(two of which were high risk), and a chronic autoimmune arthritic disorder. For all my health issues, she has appropriately adjusted our workout, so that I still stay fit and healthy, while getting a great workout. Moreover, Kerri is fun and friendly, and makes the 50-minute sessions(even the hard stuff that no one likes but everyone should do) go by super-fast. Kerri and pilates are one of the reasons that I am still active and mobile today — without my twice a week workout, my arthritis medication would be less effective and I would definitely be in more pain. Would recommend Kerri in a heartbeat — for those with or without health issues.

Kerri is a thoughtful and well-prepared instructor. I really like her style. I came to her after back surgery on the recommendation of my surgeon, and she took the time to prepare a custom routine that worked around my limitations and strengthened my core. I never once felt like my back was compromised. I’ve progressed hugely over the last 6 months and I owe my recovery to her and her careful style. Her loft studio is very professional with all the equipment one needs for a complete core workout.

I have been working with Kerri for five years and have found her to be incredibly knowledgeable, patient and caring. She has worked through my injuries and seems to know just how to make Pilates a pleasurable form of exercise. I highly recommend her to anyone wanting to strengthen their body, slow down the aging process and improve their posture and core!

Kerri is a wonderful teacher! I enjoy both her mat and private instruction. She makes her classes challenging, but always shows you a way to modify to your needs. Her classes are fun and the hour goes by fast. There is often laughter to get through the hard parts and after I always feel great. I would recommend Kerri to anyone at any level, she can do it all.
