KFC

Been going here for years back in the day, it use to have a Taco Bell inside. Nice people fresh food. One of the neighborhood fast food spots if you block from my house do you want to eat on a budget.

This KFC is in Lincoln Heights, so is a good reliable chain restaurant to service the neighborhood community.
The food selection and prices is predictable, and they do have a value menu with good deals on some meals.
The service here was friendly and the inside was nice and clean.
I think from a branding standpoint the company is opting to call themselves KFC as opposed to the name spelled out Kentucky Fried Chicken… since the word «Fried» may have negative health connotations. Truth be told, their original batter fried chicken and the skin is one of the best, and if they could serve just the fried chicken skin like how Tokyo Fried Chicken in the SGV does it, it would be a great menu item, ‘tho not healthy sounding, delicious tasting! The original herbs and spices used is amongst my favorite for fried chicken.
I also love the gravy they use for the mashed potatoes too!

Since it’s a pretty small location, this KFC is pretty easy to miss.
They have a private lot that can fit about 10 cars. I’d recommend finding street parking instead because it’s pretty crammed and I don’t want any dings on my ride.
The service is nothing out of the ordinary, you get a few perky employees and some, not so giddy. The food comes out pretty quickly and there’s a a lot of seating. Make sure you clean your chair before you sit down! I’ve been the victim of sitting on leftover chicken skin and biscuit crumbs

Very nice. Got good and tasty food. Only problem with this locale is that it used to have a Taco Bell, too. It got discontinued recently. Odd decision since this is a Hispanic neighborhood.

The place is small and somewhat clean. I normally like eating foods that are savory, BUT this place makes their chicken a bit too salty. If it was a bit less salty, the chicken would have been great. The skin was just the right amount of crispy too. It is too bad that it tasted like a salt lick. Everything else was good. From their cole slaw to their biscuits, there isn’t much that is different from other KFC’s.

As far as fast-​food chain restaurants go, I think KFC is probably one of the better ones. I’ve been somewhat of a mild fan of KFC since I was a child. All these years, their chicken has been amazingly & consistently moist, tender, juicy, and tasty. I am of the opinion that KFC offers better chicken than Popeye’s.
I stopped by this specific KFC location the other day, and the chicken they were serving was no different than the KFC chicken I’ve enjoyed throughout my entire life.
As far as sides go, KFC’s seasoned potato wedges are pretty much the best thing you can get. KFC’s coleslaw is on the soggy side, but it’s still palatable. I’ve had better coleslaw from other places, but I’ve had worse too. Similarly, KFC’s mac & cheese, mashed potatoes & gravy, and biscuits are nothing to write home about — but they’ll fill you up without disgusting you.
This particular KFC location has a convenient parking lot in the back, and it’s always had free spaces every time I’ve passed by it.
The staff is friendly, and the food was made ready in short order.
The interior of the restaurant is clean enough — although there was water leaking from the ceiling (due to rain) into buckets placed on the floor.
By the way, this KFC location is a conjoined twin — it share the same building space and address with a Taco Bell.

I know it’s been a while since I’ve eaten at a KFC, but didn’t they used to furnish us with honey/​butter for the biscuits? :-(

this is one of the worst kfc/​taco bell ive had to go to… dirty, every order is always wrong, they are so into the money they need save they don’t put your doritos tacos in a cardboard shell,…and they always take forever to have your food ready and charge alot for side order of sour cream… lol
