Surprisingly really good Mexican food at this hole in the wall! Came here as I was craving quesadillas and we ordered the al pastor & carne asada tacos as well as the hand made tortilla quesadilla with carne asada. Also got a side of horchata, and total was around $ 15. Food came out within minutes, and we were extremely impressed how good everything was! The al pastor taco was DELICIOUS, and the carne asada taco was also really good. The tortilla of the quesadilla has a lot thicker consistency than regular tortillas, and I really enjoyed it as the quesadilla was nice and thick. It also comes with a side of rice and beans, and the rice was very flavorful. I also added a side of sour cream and avocado, which was a nice complement. The horchata was too sweet and milky, I wouldn’t order it again. This spot is definitely a great find for quick Mexican food. I’m glad I stopped by here, and I will be returning again!

Hands-down some of the best Mexican food near Downtown LA. Tacos are a steal for $ 1.50, and their al pastor are spectacular! I love the mole, which is served with homemade tortillas. Service is pleasant, despite my broken Spanish, and if you order in English you are fine. Parking in the lot is free, if you can grab it. Street parking on Valencia is metered. Getting hungry writing this review. Nom.

The sopes here are really good, there is about every salsa you can think about and all are also really good. The service here is very quick, which Is great. The place is kind of small you wouldn’t think there is restrooms but there is. I would definitely recommend for every one to check it out.

GREATBALLSOFFIRE! The REDSAUCE will leave you panting and heaving. IT’S MUYPICANTE! Your tongue won’t be able to feel anything anymore! Note: Closed on Sundays. Too bad because Sundays are when I need my La Guadalupana fix the most!

I’m in this place at least 1ce a week for the last 3 years. They have REALLY expanded. When it was a hole in the wall it maybe had 3 customers at a time if that… and now its a freaking line. I’m addicted to their carne asada and their red sauce. Sometimes, I just buy the sauce to have over my other food during the week. They are hard workers. They are clean and practical, no non sense… eat and go. They are authentic and priced reasonably although they did just have a price increase. The owner is ambitious and puts that money right back into the place. I like the food is because its a homecooked meal from your abuelita. They make their tortillas from scratch. Even the fried fish tastes light and almost healthy. Their portions are good too. Depending on whose working… you need to know some spanish enough to order or else you wont get what you want. The area and the ambiance… no one really comes for that. But the food will have you coming back as a regular. I’m very happy for them.

It’s always the hole in the wall places that have some of the best food! Their tacos de al pastor and tacos de tripa are legit! They are delicious. I come here frequently for lunch ever since I discovered them. Aguas suck, but hey I don’t have to have an horchata water is good enough for me. Go, go, go! get the tacos de tripa… the $hit!

I have this idea that good tacos come out of not-so-good looking cheap establishments. Heck, when I was in Mexico City in 2011, all the good tacos I ate came from large cauldrons being sold in not-so-enticing venues, with simple interior design, and a bare bones setup. All they had were simple tables, napkins for your messy hands, red and green hot sauces, and a little sink so you can wash your hands when you are done. La Guadalupana is the same. It doesn’t entice one to bring a date here. Yet the tacos are divine and authentic. I opted to go here after making a quick check on Unilocal, seeing what is still open in my hotel’s neighborhood, and since I just got back from a long trans-Atlantic flight, I wasn’t too keen on going far. So I settled for this, and I am thankful I did. I haven’t had good Mexican food in a while, certainly not in Berlin where I live. And even though LA isn’t my most favorite city, its abundance of real Mexican food is a redeeming factor that I would take part in it as much as I can while I am here. I ordered 5 different types, one each. They each cost 1.25USD. And yes, they are finger-licking good. Match it with the green and the red salsas, and you’ll be immediately sent to taco heaven.

I dont understand why all these places put down that they do delivery and when you call them they say not at the moment… They get one star for posting that they do delivery and they dont. As for the food, I’m still waiting to try it.

Everytime I eat here I leave 100% satisfied. I used to only get the mole plate, but their tacos, carne asada and caldos are all so damn delicious too. Recently I had their caldo de pollo and it’s the closest thing I’ve tasted to home(im from a Mexicali border town called El Centro). Try this place out for yourself!

This place is legit. I knew the minute I walked up and saw the guy grilling in the parking lot. I ordered 5 tacos El Pastor and they were delicious. They have all fresh condiments radishes cilantro limes real Chipotle. Their tomatio sauce is off the chain. You can always tell a real taqueria when you walk in and everyone is speaking Spanish. It is in a Hispanic part of town but don’t be scared everyone was helpful and friendly. The place ain’t much for appearances but they are here to sell great REAL mexican food so they impress their customers with their food not looks. you want great tacos and mexican food, then head on down.

Came here due to the good Unilocal reviews and they are correct! We ordered the Sopes(No.11) and the Barbacoa(No. 14). Both we’re exceptional and hit the spot. The red salsa is super spivey. Everything hit the spot. Come here if you want REAL Mexican food. The staff is also super nice. I will definitely come back when I’m I’m the area.

Ordering from here was like going to a Prince concert. We ordered for delivery and the delivery guy shows up and calls to say he is outside. He spoke very little English but he clearly understood that we expected him to come to the door. He was trying to tell me there was no parking. So I’m pissed off already, and as I expected there were 4 open parking spots on the street. At a Prince show he always comes out really late getting the crowd on Edge. So the lazy delivery guy did not have me in a good mood. So we sit down to eat and I bite into the best burrito I’ve ever had. It was pastor and just so flavorful. My girl got carne asada and it was just as great. We got two quesadillas too and they were also amazing just like when Prince hits the stage. You forget about the long wait because it is just that good. That is why they get 5 stars. I’m just going to pick it up next time.

I love this place! And I love how it’s so near my apartment. I’ve been coming here on a regular for more than a year. I was really supposed to check out the spot next door and am so glad I walked into here by accident. I’ve had a lot of tacos in LA, but I’ve got to say they serve the best damn tacos around and they’re only $ 1.25 each! Their meats are just full of flavor. My faves are tripas, al pastor and carnitas. I’ve tried other things on their menu like the quesadillas, taquitos, chilaquiles, sopes and enchiladas and everything is really good! I don’t speak Spanish, but ordering isn’t so bad because everyone that works there is so friendly.

This is the definition of hole in the wall, but I’d like to think of it as a small treasure offering great food. Traditional mexican food plates, breakfast, tacos, burritos, chilles rellenos, tortas, chilaquiles, pretty much if you can think it they most likely have it. I usually grub on the tripas tacos or taquito plate that comes with rice and beans and for breakfast I recommend chilaquiles. They do deliver($ 15 minimum not sure on mile radius) and it does get busy around lunch time and dinner and seating is limited with only 5 tables biggest one only seats 4 the rest seat 2. Service is very nice and they accept credit cards. Check them out great spot.

Beats hospital food any damn day of the week. I vaguely remember really liking these tacos. Tiny place, friendly employees and tasty ass tacos. Walking distance from Good Sammaritan hospital. My buddy got some plain tacos and she seemed to like em all just fine. I got mine dressed up with some onions and cilantro and threw on the hot sauce after I snapped the pic. Really good tongue chopped up into big tender cubes, carnitas was well cooked and a lil crispy, the al pastor had a good flavor and it was all super cheap. I hate hospitals and hope anyone reading this never has to go to one unwillingly… but if you’re at Good Sammaritan… I’ll come by and visit you with a big bag full of tacos… cuz I’m a caring bastard like that.
