Beautiful! I always wanted to check it out and I’m GLAD that I finally did. I talked to the very nice young man, he said they’re Armenians and I know they’re good with such crafts. Huge and great selection of everything leather, which is my lil kink I guess:)! They basically could ANYTHING with leather, they could customize any piece or design of interest, which I find it perfect! The quality of the leather is super good and their designs are very appealing too. I know where to shop for belts and boots that I like and I was looking for leather bracelets here but honestly didn’t find interesting ones «as it’s just the case with ALL the other leather bracelets I’ve seen here in the US, they’re too big for my wrist and the quality and design of the leather itself isn’t the greatest», BUT, I was taken by their jackets and hats!!! Amazing. I’m definitely back in sometime for more. The prices are on the pricier side though. Keep it up guys, great work.

This is the best place to find one of a kind custom handmade leather goods. This is a Family owned business that treats its customers like family. I’ve never felt so excited to buy my first one of a kind leather gloves, everyone at #LaRiga are so passionate about fashion and leather and the nicest people I’ve met in any business.

The younger guy working there is just a great asset to that business. He knows what customer service means. Very friendly, very professional, no signs of looking at customers as a way wripping them off. I was genuinely impressed and to be honest he came across as a genuinely kind person. Very trustworthy. The way he treated my boyfriend and I was just sweet! He also created a lot of the stuff in their from bracelets to jackets. My boyfriend is going to order a custom made jacket. They have the nicest leather creations.

I found an awesome aged white studded belt in here. It was too short and the owner who crafts all the goods in there himself just made it longer for me right there on the spot. It looks great, is super robust and I’m so happy to have an all custom belt with loads of character.
I’m a burner and have to say the hats in this store are off the hook!

We love La Riga!
The first time we visited LA we stumbled upon this store because my boyfriend loves rock n roll and leather. We purchased an awesome leather cuff– it was too small for my boyfriend so the owner offered to make it bigger by adding an extra piece of leather!
On our second trip to LA my boyfriend wanted to see if they would make him a custom pair of leather pants before we left. THE OWNER MADE A PAIR OF AMAZING LEATHER PANTS IN 7 DAYS FOR US!!! This guy worked his ass off and it totally showed!

La Riga is definitely a great leather shop, it includes unique and very good quality products. The owner as well as his son who run the shop are great people that are very helpful. I personally have purchased many products from there and have been satisfied every time. I have recommend it to my friends and would do the same to others. Concluding I would say that if anyone who is looking for quality hand made leather goods at a great price and a friendly atmosphere should most definitely give La Riga a visit. Thank you La Riga.

SHOP OWNER: Rude
I purchased a studded leather cuff with snaps, leather of course, with big hollow 4-​corner type studs a while ago, about 2 weeks ago and the young kid that was there was friendly at the time and I picked it up for a decent price.
Today, I go in to see if any other custom designs of theirs had been created… and it was exactly the same as before. I asked if I could design something and have them make it for me and the older man there looked at me as if I had 3 eyes. He was completely shocked that I would even ask him for such a thing.
Of course, this surprised me too since a lot of stores today are doing custom work for customers, because having SOME people as customers versus NO customers is better in the long run right?
I will never go to this shop again.

Great little store hidden in the Melrose Ave claptrap.
I was on a quest to find a personalized (but subtly so) leather cuff for my accessory-​averse boyfriend. The owner (?) was friendly in a gruff blue collar sort of way and helped me pick out a thick black cuff that wasn’t too «much» style-​wise and dollar-​wise. It was about $ 20 all in.
I asked about personalization and he said he could stamp the inside with our initials for a few extra bucks. SWEET!
I almost bought a cute white leather moto jacket, but resisted. If I recall it was only $ 100-​ish, so the prices are great and the quality is stellar.
