My friends and I had a really great time at La Vida, Loved the deco and the club itself. I didn’t feel like I was in Hollywood, it almost felt like I was at a beach house or something. The fire pit and the seating was very cozy outside, but the music and environment really made it feel like a club. A lot of diversity in the people which is nice. The inside was beautiful. Really liked that there are 3 bars so that it doesn’t get too hard to get a drink. If you haven’t gone before you should.

Visited La Vida on a Thursday night and it was super fun! Granted, an organization on my school’s campus happened to rent it out; so I can’t comment on typical guests. I love the lounge; how it was both indoors and outdoors. The dance floor was pretty small and there were two mini-bars. The DJ was decent; but he didn’t really take requests(maybe because he couldn’t hear?). I’d come again, but I don’t think it’s really worth it if you have to pay cover.

Never going back. Reasons why… 1. We were in the VIP someone threw up, instead of cleaning it up… they threw about 100 napkins on top and swept those up. SOALLNIGHTTHAT’S WHATWEHADTOSMELL! 2. We paid for the VIP section & had plenty bottles yet my party still had to wait in a line… WHAT?! 3. The line outside is crazy long! Why??? I HAVENOIDEA. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t empty BUTITWASN’T FULLEITHER!!! 4. They LIED and said it was upscale… NOTHISISYOURTYPICALHOLLYWOODNIGHTLIFEVENUE. 5. The men’s restroom attendant was a mean lil African man. 6. I asked to speak to the manager on 10 separate occasions throughout the night only to be directed to ALEX(head of security)…He then took me through the kitchen had me wait and well NO, I STILLNEVERGOTTOTALKWITHMANAGEMENT. This is one of those places that are only fun because you went with fun people. SAVEYOURMONEEEEY!

Wanted to go out a night on the town and decided to try a place I’ve never been to. Came here before 10:30 and on guest list. I’m not sure why the promoter would say«free before 10:30» if the club doesn’t open until 10:30!!! Not on guest list cover is $ 20. There are a lot of parking on the street or you can valet your car. The outside patio is bigger than the inside dance floor. DRINKSARETOOOVERPRICED!!! I’m not in the most elite club in Hollywood nor am I Las Vegas to be paying $ 30 for 2 drinks. The music was great, the people who work the front door don’t have good manners and can be douches. I don’t think I’d come back here… the people who come here make it not a go-to spot in Hollywood.

GHETTO! My girl’s visiting from ATL and wanted to hit up a club in Hollywood, came here b/c her cousin had a hookup… you know Miss Dani is a balla and balla’s don’t wait in lines. :P While we stood there in the express line waiting 2 have our ID’s checked, all of a sudden a dozen short 200lb oompa loompa’s wearing short short short short and tight tight tight dresses showed up, pushed their way and cut in front of everyone. I guess I’m no match for watermelon jugs & «assets». Then, we had to pay $ 20 to get in, even with the«hookup». Ordered a shot of lemon drop w/well vodka — $ 12, wow, what a f* rip-off. Another reason why I don’t go out in Hollywood. Dance floor was too crowded so we went outside for some air, instead of air, all I was breathing in was some dirt weed. So f* ghetto!

So I am very honest with myself and I know I am not COOL, well in the sense of Hollywood standards. When I go to the club I am quite aware of this fact and thus I plan according and know to arrive between the«free hours». With that being said, I arrived at this whore box at 10:00pm(before it even opened, loser status) and patiently waited for my free entry. –_– Never happened The doormen in typical LA fashion held the line until 10:30/10:45ish and the«promoter» my friend had connects with never showed up which consequently created a $ 20 fee for entry(actually idk how much they were charging it could of been 2 quarters, but I STill wouldn’t have payed). I’m sorry I do not PAY for clubs. And its not because I think I’m cool or anything its simply because I respect the policies the clubs have on their entry. FINE I’ll be there when you say and wait in your dumbass line, I really don’t give a fuck, but to hold the line and then expect me to pay after all that waiting is poppycock. I will shit in your fucking doorway before I pay after such blatant disrespect. La Vida is trash and I will never step foot in that whore box. So the owner can suck a dick and lick the balls. Its not worth it, there are so many more clubs in Hollywood; to waste your time on a club is pointless. Wack sauce

the 1 start is purely for the bouncers. The place looked amazing and def up to par with any hollywood lounge, but the bouncers were not. I came for a friends bday and didnt really get a chance to celebrate cause one of my friends couldnt get in because the bouncer refuse to believe that she was 24 and thought her ID was a fake. They totally embarassed my friend and would not let her in. They didnt even swipe it or anything to verify if its a genuine Cali ID. I couldnt really enjoy my night there because i was wondering where my friend was and why she wasnt inside yet and although it was a gorgeous space, I would not return because of the bouncers. Im grateful for my friend for trying to get her in and he even trying to get another promoter to get her in, but the bouncers just refused. so on that note, thanks but no thanks la vida. buh-bye.

I went to the night club for my friend’s birthday celebration with a group of people. We opted for bottle service and were told one price repeatedly from a promoter over several weeks. We get to the door and we are told another price! The lady at door handling bottle service reservations was unnecessarily rude! We had verification texts and even someone who knew of us tell her that we were told a different price. Her whole demeanor and attitude threw all of us off and many people did not even want to come in. We finally opted for a lesser bottle service offer and decided to go in to ensure our friend had a great birthday. Once we were inside, the hostess and everyone else was great. This place definitely isn’t that upscale far as the crowd but it was good music and I had a good time nevertheless. The inside was nice but the place is kind of small in comparison to other clubs. However, I believe customer service is key when people are spending money at your establishment. The lady handling bottle service at the door killed this in 2 seconds.

Had a good Girls Night out with my girlfriends here. Small, but all I care about is good music. DJ Cookie from Power was spinning that night. Girls Night Out = success.

Based on a Saturday night: On the flyer was told R. Kelly was going to be at the lounge but was never there. R. Kelly was the reason my friend chose this venue to celebrate his bday. Took a party bus there for a friends bday bash. We were all suppose to get in for free but at the door they ended up charging all the guys $ 10 each. The lady who sells stuff in the restroom was so rude. After a few drinks the crowd was pretty friendly, girls were really, way too dressed up. There was a girl that had a skirt made of feathers. I told her it was cute. She thought she was cute. But really, it was not cute. lol. I like clubs that are more diverse and on Saturday nights this is definitely not a diverse crowd. It was predominantly Black and I heard that on Fridays is Asian night. Music was all hip-hop which was great. I will give this place another shot. But not for a while. Well, maybe I will try their food and give a review on that. We will see.

«Where are we going tonight?» «La Vida» What I’m thinking: Uh oh… is this gonna be cinco de mayo all over again? But when I got there, the crowd was mostly asian lol. I don’t understand why this place has such low ratings. It was actually really nice and fancy inside. The outdoor patio was very spacious and it felt like a lounge. There were fire pits and lights everywhere. The inside dance floor is pretty small, but because it doesn’t get that packed, it isn’t a problem. And the music wasn’t bad at all. I saw 1 bar to the side, that was also pretty small with only 2 bartenders but again, this wasn’t a problem. I liked that there was a decent amount of people– not too overcrowded or empty. And from what I remember, the crowd was pretty good! My friends and I had a lot of fun here and I think we will definitely be back cus we LIVINLAVIDALOCA!

Definitely one of the nicer venues in LA I’ve been to despite its relatively small size. I can probably account to two reasons why that is: 1) The outside portion of the venue seems larger than the floor inside and also comes with a bar(there’s one inside as well) so I think it kind of keeps the crowds pretty evenly distributed — it never feels TOO crowded. There’s also a good amount of seating. 2) The bouncers running the place were decent compared to a lot of the guys I’ve seen — they’re not overly aggressive and even let us back in to look for some missing friends once we left. I would definitely come back to this place with my friends again. Parking, of course, sucks but that’s expected. I think it can be godsend to many people that a Denny’s is right across the street.

This review is for the club experience on a Friday… The place is pretty easy to find and so was the valet stand. Only thing was the valet STOLEALLMYCHANGE from my car! I had a decent amount of quarters and stuff and it was CLEANED out. Guess it’s my fault to expect them NOT to steal from me? At least they didn’t take my Ipod or else I would be more pissed. Anyways, got in pretty easily and the place didn’t see TOO packed when we first went in which is good because I hate it when I can’t walk around without bumping into someone. After walking around a bit I realized that the place was actually pretty big and there were a good amount of people there. There was a smaller dance floor, then a bar, then a bigger dance floor which opened to the patio, where there was another bar. Overall there was def room to sit and lounge and talk. There’s also plenty of space to dance too! The restroom only had 3 stalls, but the security were nice enough to watch the line so people couldn’t cut which was nice. Overall my girls and I had a nice time… the crowd was exactly as I expected(Asian) and the music wasn’t bad either. I think the venue is pretty nice and as long as you go with people you have fun with you’ll have a good time!

So I was here on a Sunday for reggae night. And as my first time here, the bouncer was kind enough to give me & my friend a free pass to go in(thank god!). We are in there for no more than 2 minutes when I turn over to my friend and she is being drenched in cheesy compliments by this guy who obviously is there to do nothing but that. Ugh, I hate that my first review has to be a negative one but c’mon, seriously ?! The music was not bad at all. The crowd was definitely not my cup of tea. The venue had a nice feel to it. But maybe not on this night next time.

I had my b-day party here on a Friday night and got a booth on the patio. It was amazing… beautiful, great music, and a fun crowd! THe promoter, Jamie was a true gentleman and took care of all of my needs and those of my guests. Our hostess was pleasant and our waitress was also super sweet. The bar itself was a bit packed, but hey, let’s hope it’s packed on a Friday night :) The patio was a great choice… lots of my pals are smokers and it we enjoyed a beautiful Hollywood evening :) There was also ample space to get our groove on! I can honestly say that I had an amazing time… had great drinks… and partied my ass off! I would recommend to Unilocalers who wanna let their hair down on the weekends! xo– andrea

Dear La Vida, «The life».huh. Bitch, please. Joder tu vida. Yes, I was with a guy. No, I don’t know any promoters here. Why? Because this place & the crowd looked lame as shit and the only reason I even entertained the idea to come here was because the guy I was with wanted to meet up with his hina loving friends inside. I asked you politely if we could get in to meet friends. being there is just two of us. A 1:1 ratio at that. Not to mention, it was literally an hour until closing time. You said you weren’t letting any more people in because of the fire marshall, but we could try to wait and see. You can’t be serious. Why say this 10 minutes AFTER we paid the rip-off price of $ 20 to valet park? Why say this AFTER I just saw you let a large group of not-hot chicks wearing cheap tight dresses in. You can put lipstick on a pig. but it’s still a pig. Hurt a little? Well, that’s the truth. You’ll catch me dead before you see me waiting around to get in this crap chute. La Vida. you can’t identify true class or taste to save su vida. I’m willing to bet money on you getting a visit from the nightlife grim reaper sooner than you hoped for. And since I absolutely will not be seeing you anytime soon, my condolences in advance. Adiós, muthafucka.

Finally got an opportunity to get out and enjoy some time with my best friend, so we hit La Vida. I was somewhat surprised that this restaurant/lounge had so much hype around it because I really wasn’t all that impressed. It was cute, but meh, your general standard run of the mill lounge/restaurant in Hollywood. It’s definitely nothing I’d wait in line for, nor is it anyplace you should be dying to be seen in. That being said, the venue features a small bar, small tables here n there, small dance floor, and the night wasn’t all that packed. I was actually glad that it wasn’t a huge wannabe clubby scene, but it’s your typical LA scene. There’s nothing new here people but it would be a nice place to just hang out with your friends and do your own thing.

Went here on a Saturday night. It’s definitely an older crowd. Think 30s-40s. So depending on your age group that may be good or bad. The venue is fairly large and not bad at all. Expect door drama out front. Drinks were strong.

I was beyond excited to try La Vida. It was their first official day in business, and I was dying to get in on the La Vida action as early as possible since I had been bombarded by various social media outlets about it’s anticipated arrival. I wasn’t able to swing a dinner resi all week(because of my commitments not theirs), so I figured lunch was the next best option. Truth be told, it was my only option! From my initial call to the email follow up to the easy accommodation of a last-minute third party addition, the hostesses were extremely gracious and likable. But then again, they are in the honeymoon stage of their new job so this is to be expected, but appreciated nonetheless. The place is tropical… it definitely transports you to an isle of the coast of some very tan, guitar strumming, white linen-wearing land. The wait staff was highly attentive and given that it was their first day also, a little too detailed for three girls who just want to get back to gossiping! The menu was explained thoroughly, like thorough-bred thoroughly. The lunch menu included some really intriguing items and the three of us did have a hard time deciding on how we would diversify our order as to not have duplicate plates on the table. The bread(a medley of pita and flat crackers) and black bean dip kept us company while we discussed our plan of attack. I ordered the bento style lunch with the fish(arctic chard, which was offered up as a comparable salmon type fish). It included two salads(a heavy red and yellow tomato version of the Greek and a pasta salad), risotto and dessert(white chocolate mousse with fresh berries). The fish was a questionable pink color so I had a hard time giving it my all and it lacked any distinctive flavor, the tomato salad was like a vacation in my mouth, the pasta salad I didn’t even touch(not a fan of mayonnaise when it’s the primary ingredient of a dish) and the dessert, by God, that dessert was phenomenal. A friend and I were passing it back and forth trying to spoon out every last possible lick! The other two ordered the Tandoori Chicken sandwich(messy, huge and housed quite a bit of flavors) and the first pasta dish on the entrée list(we all enjoyed picking at her plate). My girlfriend mentioned that the menu plays with a lot of different flavors in each dish that they present a real catch-22 because when done right, they can be a beautiful rendition of the Mediterranean/Spanish cuisine, but if even one thing isn’t executed perfectly it could throw the whole dish off. She may just be onto something there… I was excited to be among the first to dine here, and I am excited to see how their menu transforms over the course of their«let’s try this, let’s try that» stage.
