A hidden gem! I hope it’s stays this way… But that would be selfish. I would love nothing more than to see this place succeed! The vibe was completely right on with what I was looking for, calm and comfortable! This place has it all aesthetically pleasing, great service and just the right vintage cool to it! i give 2 thumbs up! … Just don’t tell too many people about it ;) happy drinking!

I forgot to post this from Sept of last year and I can see why it’s closed now. I came here for an event. I got to sample some of their food and it was ok. The even rented the upstairs and it was so hot that most people when downstairs. There was a fan but it was just that hot. The upstairs was pretty nice with seating and decorated. People were sweating like crazy. On anther day, I pop by during the day and it was still freaking hot. The place was almost empty and it was just ok.

Haven’t been in sometime but it looks like people are still unhappy. Food is OK and service isn’t. Lots of TVS and lots to drink so I’m always OK with that. Not my first place to come if I’m downtown LA. Place has so much potential with location and layout. Just not living up to.

So sad, wish you would have been open for my birthday. Bottomless mimosas would have been the perfect start to a lovely day. Currently closed at noon on a Sunday: gate is over the windows and doors and the patio is free of chairs and umbrellas. Hours on here and their personal website say open?

Price is right, come on down… wait…don’t. How would you like it, if a hot hot HOT chick(or fella) told you to come over to «cuddle», and when you got there there was no «cuddling»? That’s exactly what this place does. Lures you in with the promise of 15% off, good food and great ambience, then you get there and find out they lied about the discount, food is typical bar food, and it’s empty for the most part or too damn loud to hear yourself think when its busy. «Eww!» — Jimmy Falon You know the bathrooms are bad when your own shoes don’t even want to flush the toilet. My shoes sent me a resignation letter when we got home and said they don’t work for me anymore. I told them… good, I’m not paying severence then.

Went to a party here on a Friday night upstairs in their loft space. I knew the people promoting & dj’ing that night. There was no cover but it was hard to find as the main room/brewery floor was closed and you had to walk through an alley. Looked sketchy at first but as soon as you walked upstairs, there was the crowd. Bartenders were on the super-slow clueless tip. Not really sure what was up with them. They ignored half the bar customers waiting for drinks, not realizing who had been waiting and who just got there. Poor bartending IMO. C’mon now! Stars go to the soundtrack provider for the evening DJ P-Word and Mike DJ for getting some of our friends together in DTLA. They got some things to fix though. Hope it’s better now.

I am reviewing for Saturday night only. When and IF i go back i will review again hoping to give a higher rating. This was a Valentine dinner and dance deal. I’ll start with dinner and service… I ordered the Filet Mignon with mash and veggies. The Filet Mignon was cooked just right. Mash potatoes were awesome, and the Veggies were nice and crisp. I must say the food was pretty delicious. This dinner also included a bottle of Champagne which was nice end to the tasty dinner. The servers were more than attentive which was a nice. The Dance… The music was perfect! The DJ’s played a little bit of everything. Old school Hip-Hop, 80’s, Top 40’s, Salsa, Bachata, Cumbia, and even a little Banda… The place is spacious for dancing. So why not give the place 5 stars? This place has so much potential, it is pretty spacious, but needs more attention from the owner. The ladies bathroom was nice but dirty. There are dead spaces throughout the place with stuff mounted on each other. The drapery needs cleaning or updating. More attention to small details will make such a big difference to the ambiance. Overall I had a great time. I will try Saturday night again. You should too!

We came here because of the name, thinking about BEER, well we were very disappointed they only have one of their own on tab, they won’t take the 15% coupon that Unilocal offers, and on top of that any other craft beer is double the price!!! This is the first time I have ever paid 8 –9 dollars for a local beer! They don’t have a menu for drinks, so if you are concerned about the bill, I’ll suggest you ask for prices before ordering. Service and food were ok. The place is quite empty for a Valentine’s Day, servers are really trying to work with what they have, décor is nice, bathrooms dirty. Sorry we won’t be back!

Normally I don’t review a place that I’ve only visited once, but I spoke with a few friends who had shared similar experiences to my own, so I feel validated in representing all of us. Unless you can’t help it, avoid this place at all costs! We wanted to grab some drinks and food before a concert at the Orpheum, and we happened by this place on the way to the show. It was relatively empty, so we figured it would be easy enough to get everything the six of us wanted with plenty of time to get over to the theater. This could not have been further from the truth! I don’t know if they’re terribly understaffed, lazy, or just horrible at what they do, but the service was painfully slow, if they acknowledge you at all. Our beleaguered server was very apologetic for the«kitchen being way behind», but they had only been open for about an hour, and there were 30 people in this place, tops, many of who were at the bar and not ordering food. Okay, «how long could it possibly take for chicken tenders and fries and some sliders?», we wondered. The answer was«just under an hour.» We had to take things to go and eat in the line for the show. I had mentioned that friends of mine have had similar experiences here. Everyone could not stop talking about the atrocious service they received. I’ll never come back.

FYI! They are La brew co not la brewing company! Supposedly they changed Owners two months ago! Either way service is horrible! I had to forever look for my waitress and find her for my mimosas and also find her to give her the bill! Never will I go back! If your not sitting inside you get no service

Two letters for the new LABC… BS. Food, service, atmosphere have all taken a dive. Don’t bother trying to redeem 15% off by checking in as the new managers will not honor it. BOYCOTT!!! Never coming here again.

The only reason I’m giving it 1 star is because they MAKE you put a flippin star! First off, how are you a beer bar and don’t have a flippin beer menu?! Then you LYING and telling people you are brewing in FRONTOFTHEENTRANCE?! Look homie, maybe you don’t know this, but it’s AGAINSTBREWINGLAW to even have your brewing kettles INTHEOPEN! Firestone brews their beers people. Research it. To the food: wings. mild was hot, hot was inferno, so idk what habanero is, but it hurts. The wings sucked ass. Seriously?! How do you serve BLEEDINGCHICKENWINGS!!! Yep, never the hell coming here again! I advise you to stay the hell away!!!

Garbage. Gravy takes an hour to make(seriously that’s what they said). For 15 people they were bringing out one dish every 10 minutes. Friends were so fed up after waiting 30 minutes(they ordered bacon and eggs. Does that really require that much time?) that they cancelled their order and went to Umami. Food was serviceable. I don’t think they really expect people to sit down and eat. Definitely not their specialty. Waiters were nice, though. Oh, the most disappointing thing is their«Check-in and receive 15% off». You can’t. Reason? They’re actually not«LA Brewing Company» but«LA Brew Co» so the check-in offer doesn’t work since it’s a «different» company at the same address. THENDON’T PUTITUPONYOUR UnilocalPAGE!!! Basically, don’t come here to eat. Apparently they only have one cook in the back with a single skillet.

Decided to come here on a Saturday night with some friends because we had a $ 50 gift certificate. On arrival we were surprised at how spacious the eatery was. There was probably only 2 – 3 other parties dining during the time we were there, unsure as to why it was so dead. Our server allowed us to choose where we wanted to sit, and while walking to a table in the corner we nearly stepped in what looked like fresh white wet paint that dripped from the ceiling. Not sure if that was what it really was, but the ceiling was white so the assumption didn’t seem far off. Upon seating we asked our server about our gift certificate and he said he had to go check if it was acceptable. He walked away to confirm with someone, came back and said it was and we were good to start ordering. The gift certificate stated we needed to spend $ 75 in order to redeem it, so we did just that. Service was nothing special, food came out a bit slow. Maybe a little too slow considering the type of food we ordered and how idle the restaurant was at the time. Food itself was mediocre, really not much to say about it. It wasn’t bad, just not memorable whatsoever. For their price point, I definitely expected more out of it. When we asked for the bill we brought up the certificate again to our server, and to our surprise he says he cannot accept it. We talk to the manager ourselves and he says the establishment changed owners as well as names 2 months ago and that the certificate was no longer valid and that there’s nothing he could do about it. I could understand that, but what bothers me is that our server went to check with someone to see if it our certificate was accepted and came back and told us it was. If he didn’t ask the manager if it was valid, who did he ask? There didn’t seem to be anyone else working there at the moment aside from the cook. After everything was said and done, they were only able to provide a 20% discount, which was better than nothing I suppose. Still, disappointed that we were told our gift certificate would apply only to have it denied when the bill came. Before we left our server told us that the establishment is either going through a Bar Rescue, or had gone through one already, I can’t remember quite exactly. I’m not too familiar with the show but from tonight’s experience, I can’t see the place staying afloat much longer. In summary, the ambiance was quite dead, establishment could have been cleaner, food was overpriced for what it was — as well as bland, manager was quite rude, and my experience just felt terrible. Would highly recommend everyone to go elsewhere.

Dreams of beer taps galore filled my mind for at least a full day a before I ended up here at the behest of a co-worker(and fellow beer connoisseur) who wanted to sample a variety brews from their advertised«100 beers on tap». Downtown has a ton of niche liquor bars, so naturally, I was enthused at the thought of beer-centric place to call home that isn’t a mega chain. The name itself is a misnomer, as they do not doing any brewing of their own — just serving up a few different drafts daily. When I say a few, I mean maybe seven. My group was first given a list of about 15 beers that they said they had on tap. As we perused the list, made choices, and began to order, we kept getting the whole«sorry, we’re out of that one» broken record response. That beer menu shrank fast — nowhere near the extensive size that they advertise. Service started out well, but then hit the bricks as our stay lengthened. It was nice to comp my first beer after the bartender spilled half of it in front me. We ordered some wings to nosh on and a half hour rolled by with a few updates from the bartender. «Were checking on it». 15 minutes later, «I still need to check on your order». An hour after the order was placed, the order arrived burnt, dry and lukewarm. After that long of a wait, who wants bitch & return an order, so we ate a few wings and decided to bounce to nearby Peking Tavern. Literally and figuratively, this place left bad taste in my mouth. LABC occupies a huge space that fosters huge potential for good things. If not located along the time warped stretch of Broadway full of riff raff and gutter punks in the immediate vicinity, they might see more foot traffic, as our group consisted of the only five people in the entire place during happy hour on a Friday night. I’d recommend heading elsewhere in this stretch of DTLA for better eats & drinks. Our second stop had all the same beers that the brew company had, plus a few more. Not missing much here.

Found this place on Unilocal to watch the game in downtown with a party of 4. Looked like a decent place to eat with a good atmosphere. I never left a Unilocal review up in tell I ate here today. This place is absolutely horrible. Literally 6 things went wrong. There’s around 35 people in the restaurant and the only waiter is the bartender??? What type of place is this??? 2nd thing, my son was served a sprite that had no flavor. Not a big deal? But after the rest of the in counters it added up. 3rd thing my wife ordered the chocalte chop pancakes. Pancakes came without any chocolate chips or the whip cream 4th I asked for a burger plain Awwwww I’m just so mad I can’t even continue. Just trust me this place sucks!!!

Review for Sunday morning only. So glad I found this place during my downtown stay. This area is new to me, despite my many many trips to LA, but it has some solid appeal. This spot has a wide open New Orleans feel to it. Food looked great sadly I wasn’t hungry. But onto the important facts– they have huge tv’s with all the NFL games. And great beer selections. I will visit again. Saw this place on Bar Rescue. Made me realize my Sunday morning love fest had more to do with the ongoing effects from the night before. Some places just don’t want to get it right I suppose. But it was nice to walk from my hotel and catch all the NFL games.

Everything that everyone has been saying about this place is true. DONOTCOMEHERE. DONOTSUPPORTTHISBUSINESSWITHYOURHARDEARNEDMONEY. They do not honor the 15% off your bill check-in discount and some guy left the place literally shouting obscenities because they charged him $ 30 for a small pitcher. The manager — skinny, light-skinned middle eastern guy — was also extremely rude to customers when they asked about their bill. The manager was so rude that they left flipping the guy off. Lol! This place is a joke. I should have listened to the reviews!!! Never coming back.

They don’t honor their«15% off the entire check» offer. Won’t be back. My friend and I were here about two weeks ago watching a football game. We ordered two rounds of beer and several appetizers. When I asked the waitress about the Unilocal offer, she told me she wasn’t sure and that she would ask her manager. When she came back, she said that they weren’t accepting offers right now. Fine. TAKEOFFYOUR UnilocalDEALIFYOUARENOTGOINGTOHONORIT. The service was slow and the food was okay. Nothing out of the ordinary.
