I have always loved this place, but seeing it covered by a extermination tent makes me wonder. Was regular maintenance not being done? Going to think long and & hard before I buy chicken from them.

I’m saddened to say I will never eat here again. Yes they may have good chicken for cheap but they also have ROACHES. Not only did my sister find a Roach in her fries there has been multiple complaints from people who have found dead roaches in there food and even water! That is absolutely disgusting and unsanitary.

Best Louisiana Chicken in L.A. Line is always outside the door. Chicken is ALWAYS fresh, I mean, they’re so busy they are constantly making fresh batches. Chicken noodle soup is delicious. Never tried the Gumbo because I’m picky when it comes to that, but everything else is A1!

What a pleasant surprise. It’s hard to miss this place on the corner of Manchester and Normandie. The menu is a lot bigger than I was expecting. Mostly fried foods. The prices were really cheap, and the portions were extremely large. Chicken, a pile of fries, and a roll for about $ 3. I also ordered the egg roll, which was only another $ 1. The chicken was moist, the skin was crispy and flavorful, without being overly greasy. The fries were on point. You can tell they use good oil, and keep it fresh. The egg roll was definitely a surprise. Cheap and delicious. The roll was the only thing I didn’t care for. And the service was super fast. Everything was right there, hot and fresh. They were pretty nice too. Easy choice for cheap, fast, but tasty food.

Small place with 3 small tables for seating(22-tops and 14-top) that accepts CASHONLY. Entrance to the small parking lot of the mini mall it is located is off Centinela only. Pricing here is extremely reasonable, especially for the sizes of the pieces of chicken you get. I opted for just 2 pieces of white meat a la carte, about $ 3.00 for a wing and a breast. Chicken is nice and crispy, not too greasy, and very well seasoned with a little spicy kick to add an extra depth of flavor. The chicken was fried perfectly as both pieces were still moist and juicy. In fact, they seemed have come out of the fryer not too long before I arrived as the breast was piping hot. With so much meat, it was able to retain much of the heat, so that was the challenge in eating it. It was also oozing out a lot of juices. Absolutely delicious and hits the right spot. Didn’t try any sides or what not(they sell fish and chips as well as fried shrimp). For me, it was the southern style fried chicken that I was after, and this place certainly hit the spot. Service is fine, but the chicken and the prices were the main attraction here.

Before I talk about the chicken let me tell you about the people that run it. I have always had a problem with thankless Asian businesses who took from our black/latino communities and never gave back. This business on the other hand is ran by GOOD people. They are Asian people who hire people in the community, allow people from the community to sell their own products on their property(sometimes it looks like a swapmeet up there), sell food at an affordable price, and are always gracious to their customers. They used to let my mom sell gift baskets on their property for the holidays and never asked for a dime. I hear they even pay a decent wage to their employees. Now about the food. They give quick service, the food is fresh because they do a lot of business daily, and they have the best flavor out of all the Louisiana’s in Los Angeles. I love the chicken fried rice and they will even put gravy on it if you ask. I say it’s a go.

This location sucks. The fries were way greasy tasting and lacked seasoning, the hot sauce isn’t the same as other locations, and the peach cobbler wasn’t so great. Chicken was ok. Would I return to this location? Nah. I’ll make the drive to the one on central ave.

Kicks Popeyes’s butt any day of the week! This is the best fried chicken and southern cooking I’ve tasted. You have the option to choose 2 or 4 pieces of thigh, legs, breast, ect and it also comes with fries and a dinner roll. You can also get side orders of beans, mashed potatoes, ect. I love the flavor of this chicken. It almost has a spicy taste to it. The employees are very friendly and fast paced. There is sometimes a bit of a long lines but the employees are fast and assist everyone in quick and great manner. Best chicken in South central.

I just really do not like the food here. I went here twice and it seemed to have gotten worse to me. The first time I went here I had the fish and chicken. It was alright. The fish tasted like it was fried in old ass oil that was sitting out all day. I guess I shoulda went earlier in the day then closer to dinner time. The chicken is ok. My second time I went I got the same thing. Fish and chicken. Once I got home And ate I can say this time the fish wasn’t fried in old ass grease. But it was really slimy. They put about 10 tarter sauce packages and 2 ketchup packs in my bag but no hot sauce. So we had to get in the car and go back up there for the hot sauce. Ok back to the food. The chicken. I dunno. This Louisiana doesn’t taste like all the other ones I been to around town. I would say the taste at this one is the worse. The staff is friendly in my eyes. It’s just the food. In conclusion. I’m sure I’ll be back again since it’s right down the street but this time I’ll try something else. Which is slim if it isn’t chicken or fish. Oooooohhhh wait! I forgot! I did have the gumbo and. Umm… No. It was really bland. I took 2 bites and just ate the crackers. 2 stars only because the staff is friendly. 0 stars for the food

I bragged to my niece from batan rouge LA how most Louisiana chickens are not that great and how I prefered popeyes even though they are high as heck Except one, the one on Vermont and Manchester and when we arrived I looked like I was on to something since there was a long ass line at this«URBAN ;) establishment.» Now maybe it was just an off day but the chicken was just ok. It happens. I just hate when I pump an establishment for a newby and it doesnt pull through.

Let just say that this review is coming from beyond the grave because yesterday I died and went to heaven. «Heaven» is conveniently located at Manchester and Normandie and serves up some of the most flavorful, juiciest fried chicken I have had in a long time. Yesterday I went here for the first time after being told that this(and only this location) is where I could get some good bird. My love of fried bird is a life long love affair. Thankfully when I went it wasn’t too crowded in the lot or inside the restaurant. Ordering was fast and the food came out just as quickly too. The workers here were nice, friendly and efficient for sure. There were a couple of tables inside but my friend and I figured we could just take it home. Well no sooner than I got in the car did that wonderful fried chicken smell overwhelm me and it was love at first bite. My friend say reaction, took a bite and gave the same moan of pleasure as I did. We tore that chicken up you hear me! Sat right and ate every crumb. I had: The gumbo: rich nice peppery flavor. A little heavy on the green bell peppers for me though but still very tasty. Wings and breast: The chicken wasn’t greasy, had lots of flavor and when I pull off some of the breast juice started running down my fingers. C’mon that is just awesome! Rice side and fries: next time I will ask for extra seasoning on the fries but I enjoyed them. The little container of fried rice was simple but had this really good unexpected flavor. Lastly that dinner roll they give you is so soft with a slight sweetness. Judy a nice finish to a great meal. If you love fried chicken and are in the area with cash, make a stop here. It will be worth it. See you in heaven!

The Best from the West!!! This Place is the Bomb! Out of all the Louisiana Fried Chicken Chain establishments, this is it! Always Fresh… Piping Hot off the fryer(without having to ask)! ”) & the constant Crowd speaks for itself. I will always not mind driving from my side of town Culver City, to the other side of town where it’s located on Manchester & Normandie… for the fact that there will be delicious tidbits waiting…(of this & that) & what ever else u want creole /Southern style Chicken! & a handful of Chinese food thrown in the Mix! YummerZ is definitely in order here… NOTE: There is Plenty of Parking… The lot just stays busy, so get in where u fit in! Lol. But bcz they’re on the corner, expect it to be a lot going on around u… Not to mention the handy Vendors that sell delectables while u wait!(Oils, Clothing, CDs, etc) ;) Also: They have a SMALL seating area inside(2 Tables) So, pretty much, this is a Take out spot… but all of the Customers know it… & want their food to go!

I came here for a quick eat before the concert at the Forum. This is a tiny place with no tables inside so it’s mainly for to go orders. Pros: –The food was surprisingly really good! The chicken was friend to the perfect crunch and the chicken wings were delicious –All food is made to order so it came out piping hot, ready to eat Cons –No tables inside to eat –The downside of food made to order is the long wait Overall, a great place to stop by if you’re craving so good old friend chicken!

If your looking for some legit southern tasting fried chicken then this is your spot. There’s always long lines and their ordering system is kinda janky(street word for«messed up»). Okay, it’s in the hood and looks likes a holding cell at a jail(Don’t ask me how I know) but don’t under estimate this place. I usually get the family pack which is chicken, a side(I usually get fries) and rolls. The food is consistently delicious and very very affordable. The flavor of the chicken has just the nice touch of spice and always crispy and very juicy inside. I have learned to order the wings because they have the most flavor. The quality of food is excellent but don’t expect to go there and sit down for a meal. Everyone takes it home. I’ve lived by this place almost all my life and this place has always been busy. There are other Louisana Fried chickens in LA but this seems to be the one everyone come to. This place is a staple in South Central. Food is very yummy and I will continue to fulfill my chicken crave at this place.

Every time I have a craving for fried chicken and I feel like driving from my area, I am happy to drive here to Louisiana. Their chicken is always delicious and always crispy and crunchy. It’s never undercooked or over cooked. I’ve been coming to this location for over 10 years, sporadically as of late and they still have some of the same people from back then working there. They fry a lot of chicken back there and you will see heaps of it when you walk in, but it goes quick and it’s always fresh. Their fries are also really good and I like that they’re salted. It’s not over salted. They’re just right. I’ve been to other Louisiana locations and the chicken is just not the same. One location that I went to, I even wondered if it was actually chicken I was eating, because it was gummy! Yuck! Okay…5 stars for the chicken… The parking lot is a whole nother story. Sometimes, it’s difficult to get in and out. If they have vendors set up outside selling their wares, the lot can be even worse, because people pull in just to buy stuff from them. It seems like people park right during the day(sort of), but once night hits, it’s even worse. The lot is dark and it’s hard to see, let alone for some to park at night. They also have a security guard at night. I haven’t noticed one during the day. So, parking lot…3 stars… Lastly, the line inside can be a bit brutal. There’s no clear definition of where the line starts and it’s usually crowded in there, so people are standing everywhere. At times when I’ve been there, it’s created a problem, so beware of that. Either way, the food is worth the wait and I give the line situation 2 stars…
