So last night I was hanging with friends at one of their homes, which is in delivery distance of this place. Thanks to the ordering online through eat at 24, we didn’t have to talk to anyone, or so we thought… First, I was in the mood for dessert, but on the dessert menu, it just lists assorted desserts. Now, what does that mean exactly? My friends and I were debating on whether or not that meant as assortment of dessert or not. So I decided to call, and discovered that they have cheesecake, chocolate cake, and tiramisu. So I went with the cheesecake. More on that later. Then we place the order online, two pizzas, cheesecake, and some potato wedges. The pizzas were very good. I don’t know what all these other reviews are complaining about. I mean, sure, it wasn’t gourmet, but I mean come on, what were you expecting? If you go to a casual, inexpensive place, you’re going to get a corresponding level of quality. This is not NYC, people. Anyways, the potatoes were quite delicious, perfectly cooked and seasoned. And they included catsup which I appreciated. Now the cheesecake was taken directly out of the freezer and placed into our order. It was still frozen when I arrived. So, I had to let it thaw while I ate the other stuff. Which was a bit annoying, as I wanted the cheesecake first. That’s what kept this place from four stars. Oh and the delivery was fast. Like 20 minutes. That was awesome.

***CAUTION*** Be careful when using a credit card at this place. I recently ordered for carry out and they asked me if I had cash when I pulled out my credit card to pay. There is no sign saying cash only however they insisted I used cash. I told them paying with a credit card was my only available form of payment and they said it was fine, however, upon checking my credit card transactions online, they had added an additional charge for using the card that I was not made aware of. KEEPYOURRECEIPTS if you pay with a card. I ordered a medium two topping pizza and I must say I enjoyed it for most part. It was slightly better than your average pizza. The food and the price seem very legitimate however be aware if you end up paying with a credit card.

We ordered pizza for a class party at my daughter’s elementary school for both the kids and parents. The service was friendly and helpful when I ordered. Delivery was on-time and helpful. The pizza was very good; several parents complimented and asked where it came from. Two thumbs up !

The eggplant parmesan was horrid and atop a pile of pasta with hardly any sauce. The chicken caesar salad was not good. The dressing was bland and the chicken was overdone(the croutons were soggy). The meatballs(the substitute for the potato wedges) were dry and crumbly. They also ran out of the chocolate cake and substituted tiramisu… too bad I don’t like tiramisu. Hub will be happy because he likes tiramisu, assuming it tastes ok. Delivery took about the anticipated time and was free. No wonder. Strike out day for me(see earlier review on American Way!!! — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — — - (I edited the above review and upped the star rating from 1 to 2 because the tiramisu was very good and I don’t usually like tiramisu).

We tried this place mainly because it was cheap. You can get lots for pretty cheap, that’s for sure. Two large pizzas for $ 18 ain’t bad. It’s on a very busy street, so parking isn’t easy. You need to walk through the walkway to get in, and the restaurant is a lot smaller than you’d think. I wish the pizza was worth the bad parking situation, but no. Toppings were generous on both pizzas(we tried a pepperoni and a sausage), and had a great taste. The crust killed the whole thing, as it should. The texture of the crust was like it was in the fridge for awhile. A little too tough for me, but I can take if it’s good. The big problem was that the crust(or maybe it was the sauce) was WAY too salty, on both pizzas. I would hope it was just one bad day. Maybe I’ll be back to try the sandwiches since the pizza was a real bust.

As people are saying here… it’s inexpensive, American-Italian food. I’ve been here for lunch a couple times in the past and ordered delivery to my place last night. We ordered a chicken cheesesteak, a regular cheesesteak, two side salads and a side order of their eggplant dish. The sandwiches were good, but they definitely hold back on the meat. The side salads were decent and as expected and then there was the«breaded eggplant» side order… oh the horror. I had expected it to be like«french fries» made of eggplant, but it was more like a gutted eggplant in a tin, then covered in marinara sauce and barely melted cheese. It was not like eggplant parmasean and I’d never eaten the stringy parts of an eggplant before… it was just bad. Lucia’s is probably closer to a 3 in terms of their pizza, but I can’t say much about their food. If they used MORE and better ingredients and shifted the menu around a bit, then MAYBE we could start dating.

Okay, you have to remember, you get what you pay for! And this place is cheap! I ordered from campus foods and it was pretty good. I got one of the specials and it was two pasta dishes, two side salads, and two pieces of garlic bread for $ 15.99(plus tip, tax, and service charge of .75) All the pasta were huge. I swear, each came in round aluminum tins approximately 1 – 1.5 lbs each. The chicken marsala came with mushroom and spaghetti, which was cooked perfectly al dente. The chicken was flavorful and not too dry either. Overall not bad. It also had a pretty nice crust on it. The chicken parm pasta however, wasn’t not impressive. The fettuccine was too soft and not very flavorful. And worst of all, the chicken wasn’t breaded! Or if it wasn’t, it was super soggy by the time it got to my apt. Too much cheese, no enough crunch. The side salads were pretty decent. Pretty packed for the square styrofoam and the pieces were bite size(hate when I look like a rabbit chewing a huge piece of lettuce…) with dressing on the side. However, I would not have been happy if I had had to pay for it… The garlic bread was terrible though. It got to me stale and the pieces were tiny… and while it had tons of butter, there wasn’t that much of a garlic flavor so that sucked… With just the food, I would have given this place four stars. However, customer service was just terrible AND I ordered online! They had the wrong number to call once they reached me so I called the restaurant to change the number so the driver would be able to reach me. The guy literally BARELY understood english. I had to give him my number like 5 times… AND the guy still never called me! I ended up going downstairs later to see what was going on and he had been waiting for twenty minutes… which means my food totally suffered… LAME bottom line, if you’re hungry and if you want cheap italian, AND you’re lazy, check this place out. however, it’s not really worth the extra trip.

This pizza restaurant is located on the west side of Westwood Blvd. just north of Santa Monica. I have driven by this place hundreds of times and never noticed it. the restaurant itself is located in the back of a courtyard and while it appeared that most of their business was take out, there were some courtyard tables outside the restaurant where you could eat. The service here was friendly and personal and they seemed genuinely interested in making top quality pizza. Unfortunately, all of their interest could not change the fact that their pizza was mediocre. We asked for a thin crust pizza but the pizza we received had a much thicker crust than I would want. There was a very large edge of bland crust around the entire pizza intruding into areas that should have had topping. The thick crust and large edge could have been forgiven if the crust was good but it was neither elastic /chewy, raised or tasty. The photo on this site is a very good representation of what you get in terms of crust. The cheese was fair to good quality but also fairly bland mozzarella and the sauce was generic and may have been canned. Several of the posts here describe the place as an alternative to chains like Papa Johns or Domino’s in the area and while it may be slightly better, the availability of much better pizza(D’Amores, Enzos) in the immediate area makes this place a low priority.

After spending an ETERNITY deciding on dinner last night I finally went back to what I was originally craving. P-I-Z-Z-UH hell yaaah(spoken with Fargo Minnesotan accent) Not having cash(nor feeling like expending the effort to go out and get some) to order my favorite Lamonica’s(I can’t believe those fuckers still only take cash!), I was faced with a very small amount of pizza options within delivery distance. Not to mention the fact that I was just ordering for me, and I didn’t want to end up having to eat pizza for the whole next week… Frankie and Johnnie’s NY Pizza? yuck, their sauce is sweet and icky. Bossa Nova? delivery charge, don’t think so. Papa John’s/Dominos/Pizza Hut? No F-ing way, I was not drunk. And I had a coupon from Lucia’s for a med pizza with a side salad and a can of soda for $ 9 something. So I decided to give it a shot. I ordered mine with ham, pineapple, and jalapenos. It came about a half an hour later, hot, and was $ 14 something minus tip. I guess that’s because the coupon was just for a cheese pizza and I got 3 toppings, whatever… I prefer NYC style slices, which this obviously was not, but it wasn’t bad. The cheese and sauce were fine and they didn’t skimp on the toppings at all. The ham and pineapple were good and fresh. The jalapeño? Not so much. They obviously came from a jar because they were a little mushy and soggy :(The side salad was good for a side salad, vinaigrette was decent. Would I order from here again though? hmmmm im not really sure… Maybe if I found myself with a similar pizza craving on a lazy sunday evening… But that doesn’t happen too often(if ever), so who knows?

I went here the other day when I was in Westwood. I only had the BBQ Chicken calzone. It was really good. I think they even used Ricotta in it as well as regular cheese. The pizza was okay. I tried the BBQ chicken one and the toppings were kind of dry and fell off the pizza. The place is located in a courtyard in a MelrosePlace type entrance with a brick archway. Tables are outside. The only thing I didn’t like was that there were little flying moth-like insects flying around. They need to get someone to get a full cleaning in the courtyard and exterminator for those flying insects.

I’ve ordered from Lucia’s twice before, and I can’t wait to order from here again! My boyfriend and I love the breadsticks here, especially the marinara dipping sauce(mmm, to die for). The baked ziti is delicious, as well as the vegetarian calzone. I have yet to try the pizza, but I’d really like to try their eggplant feta. Delivery is quick, the drivers are friendly, and the food is always hot. Definitely a great choice for quick-dinner ideas. If I had an excuse, I would use Lucia’s catering to my advantage for sure! This place is excellent. Thumbs up.

The location is probably about as secluded as you can get in westwood which is a good thing sometimes. It’s in this little courtyard and the path is able to cut out a lot of street noise. Instead of cars you get to listen to some easy listening jazzy music, which is full of it’s own issues but beats street noise Their pizza is really somewhere between 2 – 3 stars but they’re prices are pretty good. Pizza is basically buy one get one free. They use alot of chesse and the all meat pizza was about as greasy as it gets. don’t order the hot wings, they’re hella tiny, and pretty bland. I suspect they’re really pigeon wings based on just the size. If it was seasoned better I wouldn’t mind(hey, sometimes you gotta eat some pigeon) but between the lack of meat and flavor, i would make sure to pass on the hot wings.

A great pizza place? No. A totally decent above average pizza place? Yes. It’s a small little hole in the wall that you can easily miss and while there are tables and chairs, it’s not what I’d call a sit down sort of place. We just ended up getting the pizza to go. Major points for the speed. It really did take only about 10 minutes from the time we ordered to when the pizza was ready. Overall the pizza was pretty good. Nice crust, nice heap of toppings. I can’t really complain about everything except that I know Ive had better and«fancier» pizza. This isn’t gourmet or anything but for relatively cheap and good pizza I think this place is a perfectly good choice. They have a good range of toppings as well, from the standard pepperoni to things like artichoke hearts and sun dried tomatoes. They do deliver but I’m not sure how long it takes or anything like that since we just got it to go. Go with the 2 for the price of 1 deal. Excellent bang for your buck and it was just as good cold the next day as it was hot and fresh on the first.

Wow! Huge salads! My coworker and I ordered delivery today for lunch and for $ 6.49 for each salad lunch special we were expecting something dismal and small. Our salads came and the bag was SO heavy! I couldn’t even finish half of my Milano Chicken salad, but I’ll definitely be enjoying the rest of it for dinner later tonight. Even better, the dressing comes on the side in a little cup so that your greens don’t end up drenched in it. There’s nothing I hate more than eating veggies that have been swimming in dressing. I was especially pleased that the salad was loaded with chicken unlike many salads you get that just have a tiny little handful sprinkled on top. Oh, the salad lunch specials come with a piece of garlic bread but it wasn’t anything terribly exciting. Delivery was quicker than anticipated and the delivery guy couldn’t have been sweeter. So happy to have another yummy lunch delivery place! I’ll have to try the pizza sometime soon.

Adequate. I was walking to Earth, Wind and Flour for an Eggplant Parmigiana lunch but to my surprise, they were closed in August for remodeling. So I backtracked to Lucia’s, which I have past many times but never entered. The prices are definitely attractive. I had an Eggplant Parmigiana lunch, and added a salad and can of soda for $ 1. Total came out to be under $ 8. The salad was simple, but good. I thought it would be tiny since it was an add-on, but it was a good portion(about a med-large plate). There isn’t much of an ambiance; only a few tables indoors and a few tables outside. I sat outside, where there were a lot of flies. Some tables were wobbly, some seats were sunk in, but that was expected. The sandwich was edible. Not bad, not great. Service was OK. You order at the counter, so I don’t count anything against them. The value was good. Adequate restaurant. As with most places on Westwood Blvd, look for street parking.

ew ew ew ew ew ew ew… it’s so sad. it’s so close. but so gross! seriously. i think i paid $ 4 for a cold cut sandwich. how hard can that be? but everything was wrong. the veggies were kind of limp. the meat was non existent. there was no mayo. no mustard… no oil. no vinegar. i’m so sad we moved away from subway. i regret cursing the fact i ate subway everyday. now there isn’t one in sight. my co-worker had the meatball sub. because honestly something smells good in that corner of the courtyard but it wasn’t the sauce. he said his«ball sandwich» was gross. haha kind of squishy and mushy. could have used more sauce too. they only get one star for the cute reindeer they made out of a palm branch. that was very creative. i stole the idea and my mom taught her pre-school kids how to make it. that’s all. if you are thinking about lucia’s. run. and go to louigi’s you are only like 2 minutes away.

Edit– I just tried the pizza. It’s whatever… I had a wonderful delivered pig fest from Lucia’s last night. My friend and I stuffed our faces with buffalo wings, calzone, and garlic bread. The calzone and wings were exactly what we were looking for, both large and greasy. The bread was definitely not satisfactory. Overall a good place to get delivered food in Westwood. It is incredibly cheap and delivery is free!

There are so many good things about this place I almost feel compelled to start with the reason we had to ding it one star. The marinara/meat sauce is just not great. Had it twice, both times it just wasn’t up to par. Now, one with the show… First star: The chicken caesar salad. Order it. Broke? Don’t care, order it. Don’t like croutons — too many carbs? Don’t care, order it. Vegetarian? Don’t care, order it. It is awesome. Second star: The calzone. We got pepperoni, sausage and onions and found it to be perfect. Both times. Third star: The location. It is on the east side of Westwood, tucked back in from the road. Lots of street parking both nights we went. Fourth star: THEPRICE. Two for one pizzas, $ 6.95 calzones, the prices are a nice relief from the usual LA pizza place. Oh yeah, and don’t forget to order the chicken caeser salad.
