Marco has been cutting my hair for a numbers of years and I can honestly say his hair services for men and women are about as good as it gets in the valley if not the entire city of Los Angeles. His prices are reasonable and you will leave his shop with not only a good haircut, but nice smile on your face from the engaging conversation. If you are looking for a good barber or hair stylist, look no further because Marco will take good care of you.

Kids and I were hanging around Van Nuys Airport today and I had this itch to get my hair cut. Combine the two and Marco’s came to mind I first met Marco about 3 year ago. I was driving the LA Metro 237 bus down Woodley And I broke down right in front of his barber shop. We talked for a bit and once the mechanics came they fixed my bus and off I went. So into Marcos I went and I have to say after talking with him for the 30 minutes it took to cut my hair, I believe he is one of those people, those rare community treasures that build bridges and create neighborhoods. I found the place friendly and cozy. He switched the college football game to Nickelodeon for my kids and his nephew gave them candy… Is it a beverly hills salon? No, but I don’t do Beverly hills salons. Marco cut my hair exactly as I asked, and as he did so we had a friendly conversation. If and when i’m in the area and need a trim, I’ll stop back in and say hello…

I found Marcos on Unilocal and I am back here to report my experience. I have had my hair cut all over the world, but nowhere have I found what I discovered at «Marcos Barber and Hair Salon». Let start with the haircut: its as good as it gets. I am very pleased with the way Marcos cut my hair. He is a thorough professional, with decades of experience and does an excellent job. But the greatest surprise is in the man Marcos. I have rarely if ever met such an amazing man. On one hand he is an excellent listener, compassionate, open minded, non judgmental and curious. On the other hand he has deep insight, speaks from the heart, with passion, wisdom, clarity, knowledge and depth. A man who I could easily open up to and share my deepest experiences and feel confident that I would be received with love and humility. And I love his warm, friendly, inviting smile. Go to him for your next haircut but at the same time know that here is a man who you can easily open up to, who will make you feel at home, like you have known him all your life … at least that was my experience.

a christian Afro American barber shop that caters to all ethnicity’s. He is strategically placed between a smoke shop, medical marijiana spot and the titty bar, wow!!! The owner is a Detroit, Michigan native, but has resided here for over 20 years. Cuts are reasonably priced, for men and boys, plus you may even see an occasional woman getting her hair done as well. Good Friends, Good Laughs, and Good Conversation are always available. Stop by and listen to some good jazz and/or old school oldies but goodies from his good friend Cliff. And you also will get a prayer of good fortune or words of wisdom from the owner. I have been hooked ever since. He is a good man of GOD!
