Mariscos El Bigoton

Found this spot by browsing Unilocal for some mariscos/​ceviche. So I ordered the SUPER MIXTA. Maaaaannnn I was blown away. It was FIRE! (Meaning good) lol. I highly recommend it the taste of the seafood was fresh and just full of flavor. I’m definitely coming back for more. makes me want to try the other items available. Highly recommend this spot. Definitely worth every penny spent. Came here for a second time. Ordered super mixta tostada thinking I was gonna get this massive overloaded tostada again but it wasn’t. it looked and felt a lot lighter. Still taste was good. Ordered their shrimp taco but the shrimp was slightly over cooked and the taco started falling apart half way through per the liquid on the bottom of the tortilla looked like the water or juice from the tomato not sure but the tortilla looked soggy prior to taking a bite. Overall taste was ok but not blown away. I will stick to the mixta. Reason I took a star away being that second visit was not as great as first and I’m a big person on being consistent. Second visit was just ok.

This is really a great place but so many people dismiss it since it’s located on the street in a food truck. But hands down their fish tacos are so good and their shrimp pepinazo as well! Both are so flavorful. You won’t be disappointed.

Really good food! Im not the biggest fan of mexican food but their fish tacos were amazing! So much flavor! Really good! Totally worth it!

Fish tacos are on point but you must absolutely get the pepinazo. It is so refreshing and so much flavor. You will NOT be disappointed!

Nose queja 5 starts love the sea food. I recomended to anyone even with this cold weather se antojan. The guys have great customer service and are very nice and ready to take your order.

Not my kind of place for sea food order a tostada de ceviche didn’t have any flavor …

Love love love the tacos dorados de camaron. And customer service is excellent don’t hesitate to give them a try you won’t regret it.

Ordered the shrimp tacos, they were a little over cooked compared to other shrimp tacos I’ve had! However they were really big in portion size which is a good thing.

Has a lot of good seafood I highly recommend One of the best places to get seafood here in East LA try their fish tacos and shrimp tacos and they’re botanas every day they have different specials like today five shrimp tacos Donato’s for five bucks The person here are very polite and you get your food really quick service is great highly recommended

Nasty! Worst Seafood that I have ever ate! Shrimp tostada were sick and smelled and even tasted really bad! NEVER EVER AGAIN GOING HERE!!!

Bomb, bomb, bomb! I was craving ceviche since the night before and was driving by Whittier blvd and mind you some lunch trucks have pretty good food, so I saw this one in from the target shopping center and decided to stopped by. I was hungry so I ordered a shrimp and fish ceviche tostada thinking that I would order another if necessary. When the guys gave them to me, oh my, I thought it was a good amount on each tostada for $ 5.25.
They were delicious. I enjoyed them and must say I think I enjoyed the fish one much more but they were both yummo!!! If around the area and craving ceviche again, this place will most definetly do.

The most I’ve ever visited a food truck. I saw this truck when I was on my way to, you guessed it Fruitland LOL. I swear Whittier blvd is a gold mine of good food!!! I joke with my gf that lives in the area, that I need a latin boo so I can visit on a weekly basis LOL.
So I came on a Sunday. Fruitland had closed earlier so I said let me check out El Bigoton, plus the name caught my eye, so I could never forget them. The PIC parked in the Target shopping center and I walked my fluffy ass on over. I scoped out the menu prior so I knew what I wanted. Those shrimp dorado tacos were callin my name! All the guys are nice with me and I even chit chat with the owner on Instagram. So service is great, I just wish they packed the crackers with my to go order. I know they’re left out to take but if you bundle and knot up my shit, I don’t feel like walking with my to go order and a bunch of crackers in the other hand LOL.
Anywho, I’m addicted to their fish ceviche. So much, it killed my love for shrimp ceviche LOL. I love how they break down the fish. It’s like little spheres of fish. I order two to three at a time. So fuckin good. I always ask for extra avocado and what makes this the perfect bite is drizzling Sinaloa habanero hot sauce. When I told homie to pack me some he looked at me like really girl. Yes boo, I want the hottest sauce you got! My mouth even goes numb but its that good. I need to find a bottle for myself STAT!!! Myself and my mother love their Shrimp dorado tacos. I would love to try them fresh at the truck since they come dressed but when you order them to go, you have to decorate them yourself. They stay crisp even on the way home to OC, so they fry them up right!!! I’ve also tried their fish taco and both the red and gree sauced aguachiles. The fish taco is HUUUUUUUUUUGE, surprisgnly the batter of the fish was not crispy enough for my taste and it was just overloaded with no outstanding flavors. The aguachiles were good, nice and spicy. Needed a little salt but very fresh and packed with shrimp. A little heavy for my raw seafood tastes ahahahaah.
Eventually I will eat the rest of the menu, so I can say I had it all. But in the meantime, I’m mainly coming here for the crack pescado ceviche and those delicious shrimp dorado tacos!!!

This is by far the BEST marisco truck ever!!! My favorite! Awesome fish tacos and fish ceviche… and they are not stingy!

I’ve had tacos dorados de camaron from many places that say theirs are the best. Well they are wrong, here at El Bigoton you can taste a difference of the get go. From the tortilla they use to the shrimp. The salsa they pour over the top of the taco with a couple slices of avocado give it that near to perfect taste. You can taste the fresh shrimp that’s been marinated and does not have a fishy taste to it. As for the aguachile verde, it was not a disappointment. The cook took his time making the the tostada de aguachile verde… but it was WELL WORTH IT. Didn’t have to add extra hot sauce it was just right! Really want to go back and pick at its menu.

Came by today for a Doctors visit with my dad. And to my delight there was this Seafood street truck right in front of it.
I ordered the Super Mixta full of Octopus, Abalone, shrimp, avocado and ceviche. It was delicious, and plentiful. The man who took my order explained what was on my Mixta when I asked and was polite and service was excellent. The Mixta was ready in no time.
They have some stools so you can sit and eat or you can take it to go. Either way, the seafood is so fresh I will enjoy coming here again.

This place by far has some of the best seafood I’ve ever had from the tortillas to the choice of entrées such amazing food should have a restaurant, too good to not have three times a day !

Se defienden que encontre unos maricos que te dejen con lo boca abierta nooooo… lo que si dice mucho es el servicio todos muy amables, que cuentaa mucho. Porciones muy amplias y la mescla de miche dos que tres. Tacos de camorron no mis favoritos y tambien ocupamos mas de la mitad de aguacate para cuatro tocos y los Ostiones no muy frescos. En total para Matar un antojo bastan con corazon y calor Latino.

Came here today for the first time. I ordered tostadas de ceviche de pescado; they were delish! I also ordered two fish tacos. The tortillas seemed to be handmade. I was expecting small/​regular tacos. But these tacos were huge! The creamy white sauce made the tacos delish. They have a huge variety of salsas to choose from.
Definitely will be coming back

Best Campechanas in SoCal !! I’ve tried Campechanas in different places and wasn’t impress at all. One day I stumbled with this truck and ordered one. Ever since I tried to stop by EVERY Friday !!

This food truck is amazing! I’m usually very skeptical about food trucks but that’s all out the window now thanks to this fabulous seafood haven on wheels.

The shrimp cucumber thingy exceeded my expectations
The hard fried shrimp taco also amazing
They are very generous with avocados
I love the plethora or hot sauce etc etc.
