What a gorgeous little hidden gem along the LA River?! Who knew such a beautiful escape existed right in the midst of busy LA? So glad I found out about this park through the LA Design Festival Sustainable Landscape Tour. I love the little neighborhood it’s in too(Elysian valley?). We were looking for a house to buy down in this neighborhood, but never found one and I’m glad to see it up and coming. There’s even parking for this park! Park hours are sunrise — sunset. There’s a pavillion/covered area that you can rent from MRCA, who also maintains this park(Great job MCRA!). There’s fun little exercise machines, a nice grassy area, a beautiful clean pathway and many, many plants, trees and shrubbery. It’s so quiet and tranquil, you’d hardly believe it’s right next to the 5 freeway. Plus it dumps out to the bike path along the river, so if you want to take a breather from riding your bike, you totally can!

My 5 ½-year-olds are obsessed with Marsh Park. We live 5 blocks from the beach, and yet somehow we routinely drive 20 miles to go to MP.

Cute little park that the edge of the River. Has multiple little stops along Greenway. Has some really neat animal mosaics that kiddos can climb on. Lots of shaded area and benches to relax on.
