Not closed — they just changed name to «House of Curry». Menu seems the same. I just got Lamb Korma, Saag Paneer, and garlic naan.(Forgot to order rice, dammit, now I have to wait for the rice cooker to finish :-)

So I decided to give this place another try. My opinion on the place will remain the same. First I would like to point out the selections are in a steam table which is fine. The problem is you have no idea what anything is. I had to point to each item and ask what it was to know what choices I have. I ordered the combo which is one meat and two vegetable sides which also included rice and naan for 9 bucks. The guy who took my order handled my cash then goes to the back and starts rolling out my naan without washing his hands. I love fresh naan… but come on really? So Im waiting… and waiting… and waiting. You get the picture it took more than 20 min to get my food. If everything is cooked to order I would understand this. Everything is in a steam table, rice is ready. Fresh naan okay but 4 guys working in the kitchen? I was annoyed. Now the food. I will say the flavor is spot on. The problem is it’s only curry or sauce. Where’s the vegetables and where’s the chicken? The sauces were very watery. The hot sauce I got was good! I won’t be coming back.

We have our’s delivered. Delivery takes extra long,(we waited 2 hours), but I had to review this place because everything was so good at a reasonable price. It’s our new local favorite for chicken tikka masala and falafel wraps. The falafel is very spicy,(hot). If I were rating on delivery service alone, I’d have to give them one star. I hope they improve their delivery system to make it faster.

I have been searching for an Indian restaurant that serves Thali style, and I found this place through Unilocal.I always pass the street but never noticed this little gem! When I checked the menu photos on Unilocal, they didnt have any combo or thali in the menu so I disappointed… but wanted to give it a try. When I got there they DID have combo menu! So I got to try 3 of them! The food was tasty, and have lots of flavor! The guy who works there was super nice and kind! Price was reasonable. LOVE it.

I love this place. The soup is delicious. The pizza, Amazingly good. And they deliver to my place. I had no idea that Indian food and pizza can taste so good together! I look forward to dining in someday rather than dining out.

oh my god! if all vegetarian food was as good as indian vegetarian food I would never touch a burger again. Massala Hut is a place which i would have never tried just walking by it and I am thankful that I decided to be adventourous. the curries, pastes, etc are sooo aromatic and delicious. the Paneer Massala has such a depth of flavor, you can taste all the different spices, I think they add raw onion to it(instead of cooked) because the pungency/acidity of it compliments the strong flavors and sauce soooooo well. This place is my top fave Indian restaurant in the area now, have ordered twice from them to taste everything in the menu, maybe i’ll get the pizza next(make some massala pizza!) Meat plates are $$, but veggie plates are $ and are way better, IMHO

Pros: flavorful okra, creamy lentils and yummy naan. Cons: was told delivery would take 25 minutes when it actually arrived over an hour later(after having to call twice to check on the status). The chicken tikka was horribly dry and flavorless and the fries were soggy and bland. This was my third time trying them out; they have officially struck out.

So if I could give this place a negative star it would be –10 stars. These Bastards charged me for lamb curry and gave me beef curry instead. I don’t know the correct name for the dish I ordered(look it up.) LOL! I have to laugh it off because it’s so typical Indian people – cheap, greedy and shady to do business with. I know the difference between the two types of meat, I grew up eating lamb and other exotic meat my whole life. Secondly, I ordered samosa as well and they didn’t put it in my order when they delivered my food. Oh wait, the guy that took my order was the same guy that gave me beef when I paid for lamb… he got off with a couple dollars more by doing that. Could it be because it was a delivery and not a sit-down service? I think so! Anywhooo…Mr. Massala Hut, I hope you continue to succeed and rise past cheating people. Please do not contact me for any discounts because of this mishap.

Masala hut is delicious, and the staff are extremely friendly and gracious. The gyro pizza sandwich(sounds weird) is the best gyro I’ve had in LA – better than papa cristos or spitz in my opinion, though all 3 are different. Try it out! Their pizza is fantastic. The sauce is absolutely amazing, as is their dough(though it seems to go stale somewhat quickly), and their toppings are top notch. I’ve only had one of their curries and it was slightly rich for my taste, though a Pakistani friend of mine loved it. Their tandoori chicken is also quite tasty. I don’t like giving 5 stars but this place deserves it. They are a small business run by some of the nicest people you’ll encounter, and most importantly, the food is GREAT!

Its pretty good here except the service is kind of overbearing. I dont want to complain about people trying to do things for me but it ended up just making everything a greater hassle, more inefficient, and more awkward and uncomfortable. Anyways, the 3 item combo is pretty worth it, $ 6.95 for rice naan and 3 entrees, and the food tastes good. The saag, veggie korma and chocken tikka masala are all recommended.

Food was great! Lots of veg options But service was a bit weird they were a little overbearing and also remarkably inefficient. THe masala combo is the best deal with three options plus naan plus rice for $ 6.99. Though they acted a bit weird about the price which confused me because it’s on their menu. But the mention of salad for this combo is patently inaccurate unless«salad» has come to mean a few pieces of lettuce. NOOO

This place took us by surprise. Very unassuming but they know how to make good Tikka Massala. Will definitely come back.

Food was really good. It’s always a good sign when the people who work at a restaurant eat there too. After I made my order, one of the cooks came out of the kitchen, slice of pizza in hand, and poured some curry from the Chicken Tikka Masala on his pizza with a smile on his face. After eating here, I can understand why. Dollar for dollar, definitely one of the most valuable options out there. The ambience is more casual than at most places. Only thing I would change, make the food hotter!

I absolutely LOVE Indian Food. So Happy that Masala Hut opened, I stopped by there last Friday on my home. Their Chicken Curry is delicious, I am a big fam of Curry. I also tried the Chicken Masala, the Vegetable Fritters(forgot the name). Everything that I ordered was delicious and they Deliver Locally. The young man behind the counter was very nice and patiently answered my many questions. I will definitely return.

Sorry but I have to be honest. They tried but the food is decent, nothing surprising. I ordered to go, the naan was made fresh which is a good thing. When I got to work I couldn’t distinguish what I was eating. The food just makes into each other and became one goop. People looked at what I was eating in disgust. The business is very very premature. Please find a better solution for your customers that need to take their food to go.
