this place is a paradise, if you, like me, live and breathe design and all things design related!
i found [ME] on Unilocal,and was itching to check it out.
i was blown away!!!
treasures everywhere! aaaahhmazing, one of a kind pieces of furniture, art and beautiful things, that i wanted to take all home with me.
and then i met Ramon. he is a treasure in himself, full of light, tips and stories.
Ramon has collected all this goodness over the years, and every piece has a story of its own. i didn’t want to leave, but i had to run! and i AM coming back with a bottle of smth smth to just hang out, sit on that gorgeous sofa, stare in utter amazingness at all this beauty and listen to all these stories. oh, and to buy that chandelier.
Ramon, thank you for that delicious mouthwatering Cuban pastry you offered me, you were right! it is a REAL deal!

My wife and I bought a 1948 home that needed a ton of work. We hired Ramon and Material Environment to design (and really completely transform) our house. Ramon is a passionate and creative designer who pays attention to every tiny detail, and he spent a great deal of time with us to make sure we were happy with the outcome.
Ramon took the bones of our old bungalow and created something really wonderful. He oversaw the entire construction and renovation process, including new windows, doors and lighting to making the living spaces more livable. Our outdated galley kitchen transformed into a gorgeous, modern, and sleek space with tons of storage that was also practical for our family’s needs. The bathroom — once cringe-​worthy — is now beautiful. Our job called for a lot more than a coat of new paint — but Ramon oversaw that process, too, and the house is really beautiful because of it.
Ramon even spent time with our 6 year old daughter, listening closely to her wishes about her room design to create the perfect little girl room, which she now adores. It is very important to him that each of his projects is unique, and he spends time finding one-​of-​a-​kind pieces for his clients to make their home reflect their style and lifestyle, while respecting their budget.

Ramon is a genius. The best interior designer in Los Angeles. A guru of interior beautification!!! His talent as a designer, his attention to detail, his resources and personal integrity are off the charts! Ramon did work for me that blew me away. Design seems to come naturally to him-​like a sixth sense. Ramon pulled my job together quickly. Watching him work was just inspiring. Ramon is a true professional. He just knows exactly what to do and really streamlined the entire process. He is right on the mark the first time. Wow! Just Wow! I love Ramon! I am a fan for life! I also love his store ME! So many unique, exclusive pieces. A designer’s paradise! Check it out! It’s AMAZING!!!

Ramon is great. He used furnishings from the store to stage my house. The house looked great and sold in 4 days.

OK this is a Gold Mine!!! I was in LA shopping and I came across this
funky furniture store WOW the product Ramon the owner has is Sick out of this world!!! Vintage pieces and one of a kinds ok I was hooked by the Vintage mantel clock OMG I had to have it!!!
So Ramon tells me he does shows in Themes LOVE it!!!
Must see this shop small but full with must see items.

Scored a major piece of mid century here… for a great price. This place is always changing, I almost want to go every week just to see what he’s up to. Ramon is so knowledgeable on mid century, I always learn something. If you’ve not been… GO!

Love the stuff in this store… the reclaimed wood is so sexy… so other reclaimed fabrics can be over the top, but still well made.

Just got back from Material Environment with my steal of a deal — A chippendale outdoor loveseat that was a quarter of the price on 1^st Dibs!!! So fancy I can’t believe I scored it.

I dropped into this little gem of a shop while I was strolling along Beverly Blvd. one Sunday afternoon. Ramon was so friendly and cool– he told me how he had just organized the store into a summer-​themed display, and it was a lot of fun to browse. He even offered me a cold drink of water because it was hot outside! He has lots of one-​of-​a-​kind items… make sure you tell him about your tastes (and favorite celebrities) and I’ll bet he will have something to show you or tell you about.

This store has amazing stuff. Very hard to find pieces and great condition Vintage furniture. Very knowledgeable owner and very helpful. The selection changes pretty often so always check back for great stuff. Reminds me of what H.D. Buttercup was like when it first opened before it turned into a crap store.

This is a very eclectic shop. From high-​end designer furniture to beautiful vintage collections, Ramon (the store owner) has the knowledge for it all. If you are looking for something hard to find, or simply awesome furniture, this is the place to go!
