Real traditional soondae taste here. They are generous with the side dishes, nice nice. I recommend the spicy version.

search for great blood sausage soup brings journey to the los angeles fashion district… building with parking structure… validated parking for 90 minutes and $ 1 extra after… second floor and walk left to moonbongri soondae at unit 201… inside is very simple and airy… high ceilings and open space… bit tacky with red walls, but clean… standard soup variety menu, but here for the soondae gook which comes out to $ 10 even after tax… three sides are served… standard napa cabbage and korean radish kimchi… both very good… seasoned fresh chives… plain white onion with mild korean miso paste… kimchi is of the greatest importance at any soup restaurant… moobongri does a fine job at that… taking a standard soondae gook… spicy option is available, but wanting the pure form for first time… the soup is served boiling hot… it’s boiling really hard… broth is milky white and rich… good base for any soup… season yourself tray is delivered. scallions, spices, peppers, brine shrimp, salt, etc… this is quite unique and really enjoy seasoning soups to liking… generous scoops of sliced scallions… big scoop of the red paste for spice… really like the salty shrimp flavors of the brine shrimp… using more shrimp instead of sea salt to season… the stone pot is loaded with blood sausage and meat parts… sip of broth and it’s excellent… cooked well and delicious… blood sausages are different… skinnier, smaller and chewy… cleaner taste to the blood sausage… small intestines… was so small compared to any other blood sausage experienced… still a very good bowl of soup with personal seasoning experience…

Soondae gook is def good on a cold day or if you are hungover. This place is located a bit south and thus probably doesnt get a lot of customers. The interior is clean and there is always seats. I do hate the high ceilings because it causes an echo. With just a few people talking it’s just noisey. The food is good. I love Soondae gook and this place has good soondae. Also, if you ask for soondae only and not the liver and stuff they really give you a lot. Very happy with the service here.

It’s not especially good, but it’s soondae. There’s free parking. The service is excellent. It’s a little expensive than I expected, but I enjoyed it. I won’t go back though.
