CHECKYOURBILLCAREFULLY! Pre-included 19% tip regardless of the size of the party, and no warning at all. Even did not clearly indicate in the bill that the charge was the tip. Food was just okay, but NOSERVICE at all. I don’t think I will come back.

Check your bill carefully. My husband and I ate here for $ 24.99 each. When we got our bill, there are two $ 12.00 additional charge. When I ask the server, she said that it’s the tip. I said why $ 24 tip? So she removed the $ 12. But still, the $ 12 tip for a bill of $ 50 is too much. And there’s just the two of us, they should be adding the tip only when the party is 7 or more. I don’t mind giving big tip if the service is good, but it’s not! Total RIP-OFF!!And it’s hard to argue with the server because she pretends to speak english so little… Worst KBBQ ever!

DONOTCOMEHERE. YOUHAVEBEENWARNED. Don’t get on the owner’s bad side or they will throw menus at your face. If you have a Korean friend, make sure they speak very politely in Korean(using the proper way). In addition, they will challenge you to finish your AYCEKBBQ with a time limit. The workers were extremely rude and they said that we couldnt order brisket anymore. Our group was really hungry so we decided to stay but definitely NOTCOMINGBACK. Oh yeah, and we still paid about $ 30 per person. WORSTPLACEEVER.

Wow. Buckle yourself up for this review. Ladies and Gentlemen, on 9 April 2016, I ate at this location for the first and last time. I arrived at around 9:15PM in a party of 9. We were hoping to do the all-you-can-eat option, however, the owner lady said that it was too late for that — which was fine, but when she saw our disappointment, she was rude about the situation and said that we could do that option, but only until 10PMESSENTIALLY forcibly rushing the procession of our meal. Overall, the meat quality was sub-par and the servers were repeatedly very snappy and terse, especially at our select few Korean-speakers. Myself included. A menu was thrown in my friend, Kat Han’s, face. As I was cooking brisket for my table, I saw a grandmother emerge from the restroom. Within seconds, she snatched the tongs from me and started cooking the rest of our meat for us… Which was equally cute as it was confusing. Price for AYCE was not very friendly, either. They didn’t even have mints for me after. On behalf of the 9 of us, I’d like to say that we will be taking our KBBQ business elsewhere.

This is the worst kbbq place I have ever eaten! The owner treated my group with disrespect and being rude. She did not greet us and the customer service was very slow. She THREW the menu at my friend’s face. We had to wait 25 mins in order to get meat. The meat was below avg quality taste. She put very little meat on each plate. Definitely what a disappointment. I am addressing to the world that Mcdonald’s will taste better and be more satisfying. GOTO A DIFFERENTKBBQ! Everything we did, the waitress was criticizing us in korean. All we wanted was a gentle night with good food. The price was ridiculously high for $ 30 per person. This place was disgusting and horrendous. GOTO A DIFFERENTKBBQPLACE! DONOTWASTEYOURTIMEANDMONEY! Seriously wish I could give this place 0 stars because the service was AWFUL. I couldn’t even get myself to tip them. It was THAT bad. First of all I got tricked into coming here thinking it was like the II and III restaurants because they’re 100x cooler with a wider menu that’s actually… CHEAPER?! Idk how that’s even possible. So anyways, we get there and it is completely EMPTY. We knew that was a bad sign but we were starving so we ended up staying. The owners I’m assuming of this place can barely speak English let alone understand it. They NEVER came to ask how we were doing or to replenish our food(we ordered off the AYCE menu). One of them has her 3 year old running around the whole place + in and out of the kitchen(highly doubt that’s either safe or sanitary) Then the WORST part was one of the owners had her husband or something and their friends come so she sat with them and ONLY served this table after! We had to grab them to get the check and then shouted out TWICE at them to come run the card bc they began eating and drinking at their own table… Didn’t even turn around for almost 7 – 10 minutes. Will never come back here. Hope they change their customer service or close down.

Solid kbbq. Banchan is great, quality is pretty decent, drinks are good. I like coming here for lunch because it’s not as packed but i heard that dinner time is really fun with beer towers and good music!

We came here a couple of months ago and we were given the All You Can Eat menu… which is why we came here again. We came back here this month and while we could see the All You Can Eat menu by the hostess stand, the woman at front did not give it to us and forced us to pick from a separate menu. They gave us a small portion of meat and when we asked for more they charged us $ 30. In all, a meal for two came out to $ 100 without alcohol. This place takes advantage of English speaking customers and tries to scam them. If we knew we would be spending $ 100 on meat, we would have went to a nice steakhouse and not this mediocre low quality meat. Very disappointed. I hope this review helps others to avoid this experience.

Very disappointed. Our server requested an extra tip and insisted that it was required to leave 17−18% tip. When service is great, there is no problem to leave a good tip. But when I’m consistently calling my server over for service why should am I required to leave an 18% tip? Not returning back here!

Came here on a Saturday night with a party of 10. Despite the timing, the restaurant was barely filled with many open tables, but we still had to wait 20 mins when there were empty tables in plain view sight. The service is absolutely terrible. They didn’t have all you can eat so we ordered the combo meals. On the menu it stated that the combos come with a bottle of soju or drinks. They did not mention this at all. Good thing I read the menu and brought it to their attention. Had to flag a server down for everything. Not once did they come attend to our table without us asking them to. We also had to ask for everything 2 or 3 times. Keep in mind there were about 4 other tables in the whole restaurant. I ordered 1 more bottle of soju after our meal. The server said they closed at 11 and asked if I was sure that we wanted it. What kind of question is that? I said yes. All 10 of us were drinking so we would’ve finished the bottle quickly! He came back and said they«ran out» of the $ 5.99 bottle we had been drinking and only had bottles that cost $ 11.99. Simply because I knew he was lying I said never mind. My friends & I paid with cash and 1 debit card. When my friend went up to pay the lady said he HAD to tip 15% and brought out a calculator to do the math. My friend is too nice to say otherwise. I worked as a server and they didn’t even try to provide good service. I’m a firm believer in tipping well, but they did absolutely nothing to warrant it. The fact that they FORCED us to tip them 15% is despicable. The food was decent. What a shame. Because of the service I am never coming back here again!

ONEFLATPRICE All the other Moo Dae Po’s that i have been too typically have a multi-level option of selections of meat. But this location has a set priced A.Y.C.E. w/a set selection of meats. Along w/the A.Y.C.E. there are also the different Combo selections that aren’t A.Y.C.E. We came here w/my man’s G-ma who is now 92 years old… & she barely eats much… so considering she is DEFINITELY a senior citizen… it would have been nice if she could be charged for what a child gets charged for or maybe even a little cheaper than the normal price. For crying out loud she only had a couple of pieces of meat & the burnt rice soup at the end… We tried asking… but they said we should just go w/the combo instead… but i like getting AYCE so we just paid the full amount… $ 24.99 for each person. I will have to say though… their meat QUALITY seems to taste much better than the other new location that has opened up which also seems to cater more to a younger crowd & not just Koreans, as for this location seemed to have more of the adult(parent) crowd & also a much smaller setting. JOOMOOLUK(seasoned prime beef short-rib) — We ate at least 3 orders… it was so TENDER& not overwhelming in seasoning. PRIMEBEEFTONGUE — was the least of our favorite as it had a bit of a smell to it… THINPRIMEBEEFBRISKET — this almost tasted like the Beef Belly part which i typically LOVE so bravo in that aspect! PORKJOWEL — is my FAVORITE part of the pork which we also had at least 3 plates of! when you over cook this part of the pork it is crispy on the outside but still tender on the inside… mouth watering EVERY time Will have to come back on our own soon to binge eat some more!

This restaurant is operated by a bunch of thieves. Be careful of your belongings. I lost my cardholder here last weekend. The manager claimed that he checked the surveillance camera but obviously he did not even bother to help. I knew exactly when my cardholder went missing from my pocket, and I am certain someone who works in this restaurant stole it. Mediocre food and poor customer service save your money and go somewhere else, you have been advised.

Mediocre… Came here about a total of 4 times and each time i come, it hasn’t really gotten any better. The BBQ itself is just«ok»… Meat quality is meh… Could be better but it’s cheap and all you can eat so what can you say… especially when it’s $ 20 something a person. The last time I came here was during the week with my BF, daughter, and mother in law. We came for lunch and we all got the lunch combos(kalbi + noodles/soup whatever combo). There was literally one waitress working and barely any people inside. Yet service was ridiculously slow !! Side dishes were terrible as well especially the kimchee. Don’t think I’ll come here.

I went here recently with my sister and cousin — we were a little apprehensive when we arrived as there were only two or three other tables with diners, but when we left the parking lot and outdoor benches were packed with customers waiting to get in. The food was good, we had the $ 25AYCE and left stuffed and satisfied. The service was prompt and our servers were friendly and responsive — that was huge plus since none of us could speak Korean(which can be a problem at some places in Ktown). The AYCE selection was pretty broad — it had intestine and a number of «spicy» options — but also included more typical options(kal bi, bulgogi, etc.). I hope to return to MooDaePo next time I’m back in LA

We came for the AYCE. It is $ 24.99 per a person. 2 hour eating limit, minimum of 2 people eating. (+): –Seasoned prime beef and boneless short rib were both good. –Variety of ban chan served though small portions which meant you could easily become those annoying customers who want their ban chan continuously refilled. –Servers also helped with cooking(more so when it was less busy). –Grill was changed often. (-): –Less meat options than other AYCEKBBQ that I have been to. –Marinated pork was more like pork fat. Very unappealing. -$ 2 for«valet parking» which was unnecessary when we came. –No soup was served to us. Just the steamed egg and ban chan. Recommendations: Come on a Sunday(or after strict parking regulations are lifted) and park on the street instead. Use the $ 2 valet lot if you’re coming during peak hours. Not sure if I would come back unless it is to try their breakfast menu instead.

We had a group of 15 on Tuesday evening and got a private room. The remainder of the restaurant was only sparsely occupied. We had a great time and enjoyed the food, so it made me sad that the place wasn’t busier, particularly considering how crazy the waits can be at other KBBQ places. Granted, I haven’t been to the really popular places in LA, so I can’t comment on how the food and experience compares. PARKING: Hard to find in the area, so I recommend just shelling out the big $ 2 for the little valet lot in front of the restaurant. SERVICE: 4.5÷5 Significantly better than I expected! We had two buttons on our big tables that we could push to bring our server, and I don’t think it ever took him more than 5 seconds to respond. The server was really patient with us and helpful, and he never seemed irritated or tired… quite a feat! All the food came out pretty quickly. BANCHAN: 3.5÷5 The jap chae was excellent but the rest of the little dishes were forgettable. AYCEMEAT: 4⁄5 I think I got my fill for $ 25, yum. We loved the seasoned prime beef boneless short rib, marinated pork(definitely the crowd favorite… got SO many plates!), marinated chicken(takes a while to cook but surprisingly flavorful and moist), and marinated prime beef. Sliced pork belly was too fatty. The tongue was dried out and tough, but maybe we just overcooked it. The squid was chewy as well. Our grill was replaced three times which was fine. We did the cooking, not the server(which is fine with me as well). EXTRAS: 4⁄5 I liked the steamed egg so much that I got 2 bowls of it. Just wait a bit so it doesn’t burn the crap out of your mouth! The bean paste soup was decent too. The experience was fun and delicious(once we picked out the items we really liked) and was well-worth the smoky/meat-smelling clothes and hair I had to deal with afterwards.

I honestly prefer going to the Moo Dae Po II location, which is only a few miles away. The service is good, my boyfriend and I ordered the All You Can Eat Menu, with 5 different choices to fill us up good. You would think that going to KBBQ, you would cook the meat yourself, the waitress wanted to get a bigger tip out of us so she came by frequently to help us cook it, even though we had it under control. The restaurant is much smaller compared to the other location, and doesn’t have that appeal to it. They didn’t ask us if we wanted anything to drink at first, I had to ask them for a drink, and they would force us to eat stuff we didn’t want to eat. The little entrees for example, the waitress literally put the same thing in my plate more than 3 times after I said no, and that I would try it later. I didn’t really enjoy my dinner here.

My boyfriend and I were pretty excited to try this place for a quick dinner on Valentine’s Day so we got there pretty late. They close at 11 and we got there at 10. Because of that, we got some pretty shitty service! My boyfriend and I weren’t the only people there. There were three big groups of friends and another couple. Those people were there way before but yet, my boyfriend and I left before anyone else. Pretty ridiculous. One of the servers started cooking our own meat and would mutter something under her breath. The servers were trying to avoid any requests by staying in the back doing who knows what. We asked for rice and they said they didn’t have anymore? Tell me how this is «all you can eat» when they couldn’t even give us another bowl of rice. Even in the end when we paid for our check, we saw two servers laughing? I have no clue why? Definitely NOT going back!

I made a reservation for 16 and they gave us a private room and made sure we had enough space and were cooperative with us when we told them a few people couldnt make it. This earned them the extra star. After that, everything went downhill. We had no menus, no water, no grills for at least 10 minutes and it took almost half an hour before we got our first plate of meat on the grill. After that, it took way too long to get the next orders and the call button didn’t help either. We probably pressed that button 20 times that night to get SOME of our order in. They took forever to come to our room, and after the third order, they told us that it would be our last order because they stop taking orders at 10pm. Last call at 10pm on a saturday night? Not to mention, the menu was $ 25 per person and there were less choices than most $ 10 kbbq restaurants. Also for groups larger than 7 people, 15% tip is mandatory which added up to almost $ 350 for our party of 11. To sum up, the price is definitely not worth the limited variety of the food and the 2 hour limit and early closing times also did not help our large party. If they actually came to us by the third or fourth time we pressed the button, or gave us enough time to cook and eat enough food, maybe I would come back. But even then, it would be a maybe. I actually work at a different KBBQ restaurant so maybe this is biased, but I just wanted to try somewhere new and was disappointed with what I got.

To be Honest, I love the Fullerton Location way better. I usually get more Service and the waiters are nicer to me at Fullerton! At the LA Location the Waiters were not that kind. They didn’t give me what I wanted and they made mistakes. I’m Korean so I was speaking Korean to the Korean waiters, but they couldn’t understand what I’m saying which was the first time that’s ever happened to me. Perhaps they’re not Korean. The food was okay, not that great. I wish they gave us more Eggs and Soups, but they said that there was a limit. I understand, but they were being too stingy and mean, we had quite a few people at our table so we needed a couple more eggs and soups but it was not given to us. I don’t recommend coming to Moo Dae Po at this Location in LA, but the one in Fullerton! I’m a Huge Fan of Moo Dae Po. I like Fullerton and Rowland Heights Location they have Great Customer Service and Yummy foods! LA was a disappointment.

Their spicy bibim neng myun was really good too! Miso cabbage soup was delicious(beh chook gook) Only down side to this place is that it smells. One of my friends recently found this restaurant and asked me to lunch. The restaurant is in a small little mall on Vermont. Parking is valet during rush hours. We ordered the Lunch Combination C($ 59.99) which was a combination of 4 meats — Beef Brisket, Marinated Bonesless Korean Shortribs, Chicken, and Spicy Pork. The set comes complete with Sake/Shoju or soft drinks. The panchan was what you can expect — about 10 different dishes of kimchee, spicy mustard cabbage, bean sprouts, daikon, rice paper, egg custard, etc. The portions are a bit small, but you can ask the waitress to bring more upon request. I found that we literally had to ask several times on each request, becasue they were very conservative with the banchan. The meats were delivered to the table on a long platter. The frozen beef brisket looked typical, but I found that it was tasteless and tough. The marinated boneless kalbi was well marinated and delicious! The chicken was as expected. And, the spicy pork was nice and tasty. Portions are expected.(Sorry, pic was taken after ½ of the beef brisket was being cooked). What I liked best about the restaurant is that it delivered a large plate of lettuce, butter lettuce, boiled caggabe, Sesame Leaf, and a few other leafs for you to roll up and eat your meats. There were about 5 – 6 differnent kinds of leafs to enjoy and it was a nice assortment. I didn’t find anything at this restaurant that would want to make me rush back and eat here. The food was average. The service was slow, depiste it being after the lunch rush hour. Parking was difficult. Food grade: C Service Grade: C– Worth the Money Grade: D Overall Impression Grade: C
