Best kept secret on my street. Good coffee and food, staff is great, thank you Nana’s for giving Hyperion an alternative to awkward Lyric Café.

Stopped by to check out the place and everyone I spoke with was super kind and friendly. They gave me some free hard candy but did not ask me to join them in a van, so that was nice albeit a tad unusual. Maybe I’ve passed that age. Sigh. I’m so lonely. But I felt slightly less if only for a moment when I stopped by Nana’s. I’d recommend checking it out before the charm and magic’s devoured by time and relentless hordes of trendsters.

I chose to eat at Nana’s Eatery because of its name — I had a dear Nana and the name made me feel nostalgic and good. The warm, peachy/salmon colored exterior walls and tall, wooden rustic doors were inviting as well. Once I entered, the good feelings kind of left me when I was greeted with mild annoyance by the greeter/owner/cook(not sure his role). Maybe because I’m middle aged and not a hipster? Not sure what happened — my thought is that it’s always good business to greet customers with warmth rather than disdain. The food was okay — it was kind of expensive for what is was… grilled cheese on white bread and potato chips for $ 7. The coffee was tasty.

Great latte, and a fancy triple-cheese sourdough toast that was pretty simple but xtra tasty. Prices aren’t that low as presented in Unilocal, but the service is local and great.

Best coffee in the neighborhood, great staff & no queue.(Yet). Haven’t tried the food yet, but any spot with avocado toast is ok in my book.

I should have taken a picture of the avocado toast, it looked like something out of Epicurious Magazine. Soooo yummy. The latte was delicious. Owners were super friendly too! Bonus points for having a parking lot, love not having to hunt down a spot.

So happy I found this gem. My friends and I randomly decided to pull over and check this place out on our way to a friend’s in LA. I got the zucchini pasta and it was so yummy! On top of the delicious food, I was so amazed by the hospitality and how cozy it was. My friend’s and I will definitely be back and I highly recommend Nana’s eatery!

Nanna’s Eatery is a charming addition to the local coffee and quick-bite scene. The owner, a big blue-eyed energetic guy, is a sweetheart. He built Nana’s from the ground up, named it after the woman who first taught him to cook, and dotes an the small delicious menu like an excited new parent. Nana’s has an array of vegan dishes. The most delicious of which I’ve tried so far is a raw zucchini salad, called«Raw Pasta»(no actual pasta involved). It’s light, refreshing, flavorful satisfying and totally AMAZING. I also loved the BBQ pulled pork sandwich with carrot lemon garlic slaw. And if you get a bagel, try the vegan cashew cheese, its even better than cream cheese(I’m not a vegan, and I love cream cheese).

I was checking out an apartment building of mine in the Silverlake area the other day and happened upon this place. Amazing energy, great food, and the coffee was ridiculously good. I think that the owner(Richard?) greeted me and he was so proud of his creation.. .I can understand why. I will not hesitate to get back to Nana’s as soon as possible. I only hope that this place stays around as it is too good to let go!

Stopped by today while waiting for my car to be repaired next door(Hyperion Auto — also great) and camped out here for a bit. Staff was super friendly and since they’re a new business they gave me a free salad to try while I waited, which was great and all ingredients from a local farmer’s market. I also had a coffee and egg sandwich — both were excellent and the prices were super reasonable. I also noticed even in their short two weeks since opening they’ve already got regulars which they seem very familiar with, which I take as a good sign. Anyways, check ‘em out.

I stumbled upon this gem looking for caffeine, fast wifi and outlets! I found all of the above + more! Robert(the owner) is super friendly and personally introduced himself to each customer! I loved the vibe inside, large tables and lots of natural lighting! I ordered a café latte and a chocolate croissant. Both were delicious and I appreciated the slightly toasted croissant — the perfect, productive sunny afternoon! Places like Nana’s remind me why I love supporting small businesses. Please do yourself a favor and stop by! I will definitely be adding this into my regular rotation!

Nothing quite compares to this warm and welcoming café. You get the love of a family owned local business with a modern touch of antique Mediterranean décor. I ordered a Cortado coffee delighted by the authenticity in each sip. Sweet and bold all on its own. The food is delicious and you can tell that the chef really places the utmost love and creation behind each plate. I’ve been on the hunt for my «favorite» coffee and café spot for a long time and nothing beats Nana’s Eatery. Once you walk in you’re greeted with smiles and superb customer service. This is a place I can go to everyday with my laptop, grab a coffee or tea and especially a mouth-watering panini! I can’t even choose, the salmon or pesto panini, the avocado toast or Bruschetta, maybe a light salad or even the raw vegan pasta?!! Everything is scrumptious. The prices are great and you definitely are served the best quality in food, beverage and hospitality. I make Nana’s a weekly visit.

Smooth espresso, toasts are a refreshing take in coffee shop eats(avocado-watermelon radish or the walnut-goat cheese) Lightly smoked salmon-avocado panini is buttery and a nice portion.

I am so excited there is a new coffee shop on Hyperion! Nanas eatery serves espresso, salads sandwiches, pastries and much more. I tried the pecan bar, bruschetta, and a peach tea. This eatery is so friendly and the food is amazing.

What a welcome to the neighborhood! This large space serves the perfect place to relax or get some work done with a perfectly crafted latte, organic juice and a delicious chocolate croissant. I ordered the ginger dressing salad and licked the bowl clean while my fiancé had the salmon sandwich on brioche. The sandwich was flavorful and reminded me of a healthy grown up grilled cheese! I will definitely be back soon! Nanas Eatery is my new favorite Silverlake spot!
