Where do I start. We were a party of two and the place was not that busy. The hostess tried to seat us at the smallest table possible. Which is silly at a Thai place because you order multiple plates of food. My date asked for a bigger table. At that point everything went downhill. I ordered Tom Yum Gum Soup with shrimp, which is a Thai staple. The menu said nothing about levels of spicy to choose from. The waitress brought it to us and said«if it’s too spicy, let me know and they will add broth». Since when is a lemongrass base soup spicy. Yes, it’s has a zip normally, but this was unedible. We also got the waitress who had 1 foot out the door. Tried to take my food away without even asking if I was finished. Then proceeded to rush everything. The hostess and two other servers sat and glared at us, as if they were trying to vibe us out of there. Then the waitress actually sat next to us checking out. Seriously, come on. Hire some professionals. Politely let the custumer know your shift is finished. I have worked in the restaurant business. This place was a joke.

um um um where do I start I mean FANTASTIC from the time you walk in to the time you heat your leftovers back up. AMAZING. The customer service is fantastic. OF course as usual I went for my lunch girls outing with my co worker. Collectively we had, The Siamese Shrimp, The Heavenly Rice and Shrimp and Chicken Wontons. We were truly in heaven. All the food was a amazing portion(especially for lunch portions). We enjoyed every minute of it. Now their Raspberry tea is to die for I have to admit I did have 3 glasses. I know, I know but everytime I got almost empty their she was filling me up with me even looking up to ask for more. The ice was crushed, soft ice and taste amazingky clean as well. I just cant say enough good things about this place. Its super cute inside, clean, relaxing and very inexpensive. I am forever thrilled and WILL be back
Natalee what happened to you!!! This place is horrible the food is mean. I’m not sure what’s different but the food was terrible. I order the Thai chicken full of NO flavor what’s so ever. I also ordered the lobster fried rice which didn’t taste the same. I use to eat at this place back when it first opened years ago and it use to be good. The only food I ordered that was still the same is the Westside wontons. Still friendly staff and cool atmosphere

Man, I love this place! I have food from Natalee Thai delivered to me at least once a week! I always order the wonton soup where the wontons have whole shrimp inside and the stir fried morning glory(pad pak boong) which is so flavorful and perfectly cooked. My friend always orders the beef salad which has a nice cut of beef which is tangy/spicy. She loves it!

Have been here many times over the years, and I can tell you for sure that the food is decent here. Service is alright too however, the place has been going down a bit in maintenance. To explain, the place has gone from an A rating to B rating by the health department inspection(It really isn’t hard to get an A so you have to really mess up to get anything below) and it really shows. I could tell that the napkins are dirty and so were the silverwares with clearly noticeable white water stains. There was dust on my plate and the only thing that really looked clean was the glass for my drink. I really enjoy this place still and like the food, but just wish that the management can bring its maintenance attributes up to par to their food and services.

My go-to Thai spot in LA. Pros: — Nice ambiance — Solid customer service — Ample parking Recommendations: — Beef Salad — Heavenly Combo — Pad See Ew — Hot Stuff(beef) I’ve had each one of these dishes many, many times! Can’t go wrong with any of them! Cons: — One star off for having a «B» rating. Really hope this changes soon because I adore this place!

The restaurant is nice. Looks fancy. Has a bar. Definitely a good look for a fancier Thai restaurant experience. But… Let’s be honest. The food isn’t that great. I prefer the other Thai restaurants in the neighborhood. Their Pad See-Eww is average. The Chicken Fried Rice is nothing exceptional. Not bad but not exception. The Chicken Satay is good. You go here for the ambiance not necessarily the food.

(Take out experience) Omg so disappointed! I came here when they first opened many years ago after they replaced a favorite Thai restaurant of ours and it was amazing, loved the atmosphere and the food was good. Well today was our first time eating here in a while and they need to go back to the way they were. 1) The coconut chicken soup was watery and tasted like lime water 2) their fried tofu had NOFLAVOR, no seasoning– nothing. 3) their large shrimp fried rice had 3 shrimps in it 4) their wings were like like stuffed wings, with mushrooms. May sound good, but we’re completely flavorless. plus we just ordered regular wings Not coming back

LA is home to a lot of Thai restaurants, and after awhile they all seem to blend together. So I definitely noticed that Natalee Thai is different. It’s ALWAYS packed, while across the street the very well known Thai Original BBQ, an LA chain that has several locations is nearly empty. Natalee Thai is also kitty corner from another Thai restaurant, Treehouse Thai, that specializes in vegetarian cuisine. Both the times I visited recently, the dining room was packed with several people waiting and stacks of takeout orders at the front counter. The staff work exceptionally fast, so that your phone-in order pretty much is ready in 10 – 15 minutes. I also walk by at least 3 times a week since it’s in my neighborhood and see the place is always full. One taste of Natalee Thai and I could see why this place was out besting the other Thai restaurants on the same block. I always go for pad see ew noodles and theirs wasn’t oily, had great flavor, and a hefty portion for $ 10. The Thai Original BBQ version I had weeks prior couldn’t compare with the flavor. I returned to Natalee Thai to try their pad Thai, since they make their own pad Thai sauce from scratch here. It was pretty darn good as well, but not as impressive to me as the pad see ew. Tip: Natalee Thai is on GrubHub, which always offers $ 2 weekend coupons, so you could save a little dough on your next takeout order.

The bf and I were looking for a quick dinner spot and he remembered this place as being pretty good so we stopped in. It was around 6:30 or so, and while it wasn’t at capacity it was still pretty busy, and got only busier and noisier as the evening wore on. I decided on my go-to: pad see ew with tofu, and my bf asked if he could get the yellow curry with tofu instead of chicken. We were told by our server that they make the curry with chicken by default ahead of time so the protein could not be subbed with anything else. Hm, ok… kind of weird, but whatever. Maybe the fact that they call it «California Curry» instead of yellow curry should’ve been a clue. So he ended up getting the Vegetable Mélange, which was fine but not really anything like a curry, lol. We also got a cucumber roll to share – yes, they have sushi here also! Since there are so many Thai-owned sushi places in Long Beach this wasn’t a shock or anything but I generally don’t tend to like these combo places as you don’t really get the best of either cuisine. The roll took so long to come out we figured they forgot and asked the waitress that if they hadn’t made it yet we’d just like to cancel it, but it turns out they had made it and she’d forgotten about it… doh… Our server was a chipper college-aged woman who was very nice but seemed a little out of it. Overall I give the food 3 stars as strictly OK in taste and price but the hectic ambiance and lackluster service dropped it down a notch. I doubt we’ll be returning anytime soon; maybe just get the stuff to go. STEPHJUDGEMENT: OK food but noisy with confused service – you can do better.

I give this place 5 stars for not only the food and drinks but also the service. I choose the pai Thai and I must say it was delicious. Also my girl and I had gotten the salmon rolls that were just awesomeness in your mouth lol. The food was definitely A1. Also we got this huge drink that was strong. I can’t see anybody drinking that by themselves. They also have a nice bar area with a nice size tv to watch sports. All in all I really like this place and will definitely come back.

I always love their food. The restaurant is nice and clean, there’s a tv available for viewing the games etc. They play soft music and the service is extremely prompt. The food was amazingly good and also the drink i ordered was nice and strong although the server warned me ahead of time lol i will definitely be back.

This was a surprisingly good Thai restaurant that we found open on Christmas Eve. The restaurant is tucked away in a small strip mall with limited parking. It is a non pretentious and friendly place but serves good food. We ordered spring rolls, golden wings, and chicken sate. The spring rolls and wings were just okay but the chicken sate’ was quite good. The peanut sauce that really makes the chicken sate was especially good. For the main dish, the red curry chicken which distinguishes the good Thai restaurants from the mediocre, was very good. I did not care for the consistency of the curry — I normally prefer it to be thicker — but I couldn’t argue with the taste, which was extremely flavorful. I also really liked the flat noodles(lad na) with pork. They had a gingery taste which was just right. The prik King(chicken with green beans) was good, but nothing special. There was also a crispy fried fish in red sauce. I was expecting quite a different dish, drier with more spices, but enjoyed the taste nonetheless. The gravy was especially good. All in all a nice little Thai restaurant. Reasonably priced. Good service and good food!

Actually I would give this place 3,5 stars if I could. It’s an ok place that you can visit once in long time. The building from outside looks modern and interesting. Inside though it looks mediocre and not really beautiful. My husband wanted to have Thai food and I wanted to eat something and have a cocktail. Very surprisingly that Thai place has alcohol at all! Unfortunately, you can barely taste it. I ordered Pina Colada and it tasted like a Virgin version of this drink. Overall the food is good. I wish it was more flavorful. I ordered Pad Thai with shrimp. Maybe I should try Curry next time. My husband liked his Red Curry with beef. Yes, I’m coming back since there’s not that many good places in the area and I don’t really wanna drive on the weekend nights: P

If you live in the area, you’ve gone at least once or twice. I don’t think this should necessarily be anyone’s go to choice for Thai, but it’s a solid stand-by option. I ordered delivery last night after taking about a 3-year hiatus from coming here and although I felt it was kind of pricey, it definitely wasn’t bad. I tried the chicken satay, hi-ho silver and a sweet beef curry that I can’t remember the name of. I would pass on the satay next time — I didn’t like the peanut sauce and there wasn’t a lot of meat on the skewers. The Hi-Ho Silver was a nice surprise; the glass noodle was a nice change of pace from the typical rice noodle dish. And while there were only about 3 shrimps in the entire dish, it did feel a little lighter than other noodle entrees. The curry was pretty good too, and they give you lots of beef. It was like stewed beef in a cinnamon sauce. The taste was kind of unusual, but I didn’t mind it. I would order it again. There are no vegetables in this particular curry and don’t forget to order a side of rice. Total cost with delivery charge and tip was $ 40. Which is about $ 10 too costly, I think. I know it’s always crazy busy on the inside so it might be more fun to go there and eat. There is definitely cheaper, better delivery options on this side of town.

I tried Natalee Thai for lunch a couple of days ago when I was working in Culver City. Natalee Thai is a quirky looking place on the corner of Venice and Clarington. They have tried to give it a modern look from the outside but I’m not sure if that really works. Upon entering I saw that the place was almost completely full but we were promptly greeted and shown to a small table inside. After being seated it took a long time for our server to show up. I decided to start with a Thai iced tea($ 2.75) and skipped the lunch specials(as they were just a handful of boring dishes) and went with a simple Pad Thai($ 10.75). My friend got the California curry($ 10.95) which was a play on the red curry. After ordering our drinks came pretty fast but it took a very long time to get our food. The nice thing about the Thai tea was that it was not overly sweet but it felt a little weak. The Pad Thai was surprisingly very good. It looked good and tasted great. It was definitely not authentic but all considered it was pretty good. The portion size was also decent for a lunch serving. My friend liked his California curry and said it was pretty good. After dropping off our food I think our server forgot about us so even after having wiped everything clean there was no sign of the check. Finally we walked over to the paying station to pay only to be told that we will have to return to our seat and wait for the check before we could walk over and pay. So after another couple of minutes we finally got the check paid and left. Price-wise it was a lot more expensive when compared to other Thai restaurants but it was fine for the Culver City area. To sum up I liked the food here but found the service to be severely lacking. I would rate this as a strong 3.5 start which I’m rounding up to 4 as I would not mind returning here if I happen to be in the area again.

Came here for lunch. The food was decent, not as fresh as I would have liked but pretty tasty. The service was good and the restraint was clean and well lot. It was quite busy during lunch. Loved the Thai iced tea with crushed ice. If you’re looking for a healthy option, this isn’t the place for you.

This place surprised me. the outside seemed like it was pretty divey and relaxed. the inside was another story. some friends and I came in after some soccer to get a quick bite. we walked in and we felt we may have been too smelly and sweaty to eat there. it seemed like a decent spot for dinner with friends, or maybe a very chill date. The staff was super friendly!!! our bartender Madison was super nice and friendly with us. She was the best. the other waitress WInnie very helpful in food ideas too. they suggested some good drinks for us, and suggested some good ideas on food as well. we ordered a wide range from noodles, to chicken satay, to the Thai Chicken(it was on fire when it came to us. pretty good show), It was all pretty filling. cant go wrong with Thai food. It happened to be our friends bday too, and they were nice enough to sing happy b-day with us, and presented the b-day boy with some ice cream. super awesome of them… They place isn’t super fancy shmancy, but may be too nice for a bunch of sweaty smelly soccer players after a long game. Thanks again Madison and Winnie! I’d come back here again. i have yet to try the Drunken Noodles.

As far as Thai food goes, this place takes the cake! I first came accross this place when I ate dinner here with friends from undergrad. Ever since, I’ve been coming back. My favorite dish is the seafood soup, with a side of white rice. Another great dish is the chicken pad thai, it comes with a peanut sauce that’s delicious. There are other dishes that come out in elaborate displays, such as the chicken that’s served to you while still on fire. I will be trying that next, so stay tuned for an update.
