Great place to get a early morning or late afternoon coffee. In addition they serve sweets to go with coffee or tea. Let’s not forget that they also serve lunch to us here on the lot. Good portions for the price and it comes with a drink with free refills! If your not a cook you can pick up a meal that your Mom might have made and don’t forget your veggies! Most times I’m there for coffee

The choices on the lot are limited. But News Café seems to be the better choice of what’s available. It’s nothing great. I’d rank the flavor among above average Diner food. Prices are good. Menu changes often so you’re not eating from a limited menu. But honestly, I don’t understand the 5 star reviews. Have I become spoiled having on set Caterers like Tony’s? Maybe. But as a foodie, I can not give this place and it’s food more than 3 stars, because it doesn’t deserve it. It’s average food. If I have the time to leave the lot and eat elsewhere, I do.

Great lunch spot on the FOX lot for those working in the surrounding buildings. Tuesday sushi day is one of the most popular and sometimes the chefs create a yummy roasted vegetable pizza. Yes, it’s a cafeteria and the food can get old, but it’s always fresh and the customer service is excellent.

This is kind of an interesting place, but it’s ultimately nothing to get excited about. The food is decent, but it’s not tremendous. I had the tandori chicken sandwich was good and sort of interesting, but a little on the dry side.

When I eat on the lot, I head to News Café like 80% of the time. They have a good setup… there are different stations, with a rotating menu that keeps you from getting bored of their food(I still do, but it’s hard not be when you’re a Unilocaler). Each station has an awesome special that usually lands you a full meal between $ 5-$ 7. And there’s also a nice salad bar for those days you feel like eating healthy. For example: 2 big slices of pizza, a side salad, + a drink = $ 5 Sandwich of the day, a bag of chips or cole slaw, + drink = $ 5 Chefs entrée of the day, one side, + drink = $ 6 ½ Rotisserie chicken, one side, + drink = $ 7 Use your Fox employee dining card, and get an additional 10% off. Yeah, you get the point. There are some dishes that they do paricularly well. My favorites are: Fried Fish Tacos. w/condiment bar. Yummy! Ribs w/Mac n Cheese. BBQ Chicken Ranch Pizza. So heavy, but so good. Southwestern salad w/buffalo chicken. Mole chicken. They make a surprisingly tasty mole sauce. The chef who makes all the«chef’s station» food is really nice. So is the guy who runs the sandwich station(speak Spanish with him and you get hooked up). Most of the guys who run the other stations are hit or miss, depending on their mood, but overall, I like the people who work there. I often take for granted how nice it is having News Café on the Fox lot… compared to most of my friends’ lunch situations, we really do have it great here.

I thought I’d be the first person to review this place! But anyhow… what more can I say? Bam, 5 stars!

The News Café food tastes like cardboard. Occasionally they serve a delectible item, but if you have a choice go to either the Commissary or Mark’s Food For All(aka«The Truck» — which is 5 stars++!!!)

Every Tuesday and Thursday, my alarm shatters the snuggly silence of my bedroom at the ungodly hour of 7:30AM. My first thought is, «yes, today is an internship day, and that means my lunch is going to be super delicious!» I spring out of bed and get dressed, I fight traffic all the way to the Fox lot, with visions of vegetables dancing in my mind. I’m not a burger and fries kind of girl. I’m a whole grain, fresh veggie, big slab of protein kind of girl, and that means food is more expensive and harder to find for me. The beauty of the rotating menu at the News Café is that there is always a veggie side and a delicious protein option(or three) for me, AND meals are usually $ 6.95. The food is so good that I often text pictures of it to my friends. I pray that after I graduate in June, Fox will hire me so I can keep eating here!

When I got some money to spend, I’ll go to News. This spot is a little more expensive than Moe’s and the Commissary but well worth it. They have different food stations like the Rotisserie & Grill which offers delights such as Herb Roasted Chicken, Roasted Trip Tip, and Pork Loins. a Pizza station, Salad station.(although not as good as Moe’s), Sushi station(on certain days), and a Sandwich Station(which I haven’t tried yet). Even though the prices are more expensive than Moe’s & the Commissary, it’s still lower compared to mall prices and food quality is above par. And yes there is a coffee stand in it…
