Everybody loves Oi. You can’t really go wrong here. It’s not my go to but when I get a craving the food is consistently great. I really love the pork belly Adobo bowl, the tapsilog, bibimbap and oi burger. The service could definitely use a lot of improvement but the food makes up for it. The bowls are a good balance between the traditional home cooked meal and the fresh new fusion that’s easier on the palette for a newcomer. The burger is to die for. It’s on a pretzel bun and has a great combination of mushrooms, arugula and picked goodness. It’s a great place to try and maybe even open doors to more traditional styles. The prices are okay and the portions vary I feel but overall good tasting food. Thumbs up, Oi.

Nice casual place, good music. Adobo bowl was better than I expected, especially with the egg. Also tried a bit of the shredded pork bowl which was good too. Fried egg rolls were cooked to perfection and made for a nice side dish to both bowls. Convenient water dispenser with cups. No problems here, I’d highly recommend.

Location/Parking: It’s located in a plaza with Starbucks on your left, there’s also a nail salon next to it. Parking is fairly easy but I could imagine it being difficult on days the lot is busy. Vibe/Space: The place is very hip and modern, the menus are creative. Food: I got the adobo omani gravy bowl, I loved the gravy went perfectly with the adobo and the rice was such a good consistency. I also got the dynamite fries which were sweet potato fries with a spicy mayo sauce I believe and cilantro. The portion was kind of small for the fries but were delicious and wish came with more sauce. Service: Workers were super friendly and nice, when we needed anything they were always there to help. Overall will be back to try the other dishes, especially the burger and get some fries again. Must try if you’re in the area.

Oi Oi… Oink. Pretty tasty Asian fusion spot in the valley! Those of you that live around this area know how hard it is to find a place that’s not the«same old same old» valley food. I stumbled across Oi Asian Fusion after the hanger(hunger – anger) hit me late Saturday night. I came here fifteen minutes to close, thinking that they wouldn’t be able to take my order. The cashier at the front kindly gave a few suggestions and took my order. I went for the dynamite sweet fries, the pork egg rolls, and the famous adobo bowl. I have to admit that I modified the dynamite sweet fries a little. Instead of the sweet potato I opted for regular fries. They were topped with dynamite sauce, garlic confit, and cilantro. The dynamite sauce rocked my world. There was a nice kick to balance the garlicky twist to the fries. They were still crispy to the bite regardless of the creamy sauce on top. The fresh cilantro on top added a nice color and texture to the fries. The pork egg rolls were a bit small. I could probably eat a few orders of these by myself. These were 8 pieces of traditional egg rolls fried to a crisp served with sweet and sour sauce. They had a nice crunch and the pork was savory and flavorful. The adobo bowl is their most popular dish. A bowl of rice topped with braised pork belly, adobo sauce, soft boiled egg, and scallions. The rice was cooked well and the braised pork belly was fatty and delicious. It had a melt in your mouth texture that I really enjoyed. The soft boiled egg was cooked perfectly(it’s not easy to cook a soft boiled egg without overcooking people!) and the adobo sauce added a little spicy kick. Final verdict… order the dynamite fries. And order the adobo bowl. This place is a casual little eatery to get something a little different from the food options in this area. The inside of the restaurant is kind of modern with a little twist. There is hip hop music playing in the background and the employees are laid back and pretty helpful. It’s located in a big shopping center and parking wasn’t a problem on Saturday night, but I assume it’s gets pretty busy during lunchtime. I’ll definitely be back!

Plenty of food options in the menu, although most are centered around pork belly, because duh, who doesn’t love pork belly? Tried out their pork belly w/umami sauce as well as their dynamite fries. Both were amazing bites, absolutely made me want to come back in the future to try out their other offerings. Pork belly w/umami was an explosion of flavors right when it hits your mouth. The pork has a certain, light crispiness to it, but still melts wonderfully in your mouth along with the gravy and the sticky rice. Having the seaweed puts it over the top by adding another dimension to the overall flavor. Quick tip: if you’d like, add Sriracha on top and watch yourself be transported even further. Dynamite fries was solid, but not mind-blowing. It’s essentially sweet potato fries with sriracha-mayo sauce and some cilantro for decorations. To others it might have been too much cilantro, but I thought it added just the right amount of brightness to the dish, without it the fries might have been too rich with the sauce. I’ll definitely be back to get a taste of the other dishes. The restaurant is located in a very unassuming spot within a strip mall, so unless you were looking specifically for it, it’s very easy to miss. The ambiance definitely has a modern, hipster-ish feel to it, although the place might need a little bit of tidying up. Overall it was a good experience for me.

dynamite fries are the best! Not spicy at all. Please don’t cheat yourself by ordering regular fries with dynamite sauce. Lol Update #2 All items have been tasted. However, my favorites have changed and are as follows: #1. Crawfish bowl #2 .Adobo omami gravy bowl #3. Karagee rice bowl #4. Chicken longanisa #5. Angus bun. The crawfish really just surprised me of the variety of flavors I tasted, not to mention how good it tastes. Compared to the adobo bowl which has achieved balancing the saltiness of the meat thanks to the gravy, the crawfish has an essence that yells deliciousness in seafood. Karagee will always be on my top 5. It’s delicious and a good default dish for new customers who don’t know what to get. Chicken longanisa, has a sweetness to the meat that is very filling, but not excessively giving you a whole lot of sweetness to overwhelm you. Considering everyone is different, results may vary. Other items to note, are the bibimap bowl for those of you who are vegetarians. Loco burger bowl, tapsilong, oi burger bowl, and oi burger would be my opinion of the othe top food items. Don’t get me wrong, everything is delicious, and priced fairly.

This place is empty. It’s mothers day we went after church and we rolled 5 squad in. I had the adobo bowl with a fried egg. My gosh the taste was amazing but did not have that typical adobo taste. It was a lot sweeter and a different flavor type of adobo. The décor is amazingly hip and clean. Customer service dude in the front was super helpful and relaxed. My good friend bought dynamite fries and that was amazing with their cilantro. I can’t come here every week because the flavor is so intense. haha. Is that a bad thing? I also had the chicken karage bun, that was just a little bun of joy. Notes: ample parking amazing flavors of bowls. Great lunch spot Verdict: come back with a different set of friends every time. So you can try different bowls.

Asian fusion– Filipino fusion done right. Their pork belly bowl is so good with the sauce and umami gravy. And their tapsilog bowl with the fried egg, my favorite! And to top it off, the sweet potato fries topped with parsley and their sauce, it’s so so good. Ambiance: casual. Hipster. I think they have board games. Parking: lot available in front Service: pretty good! They share their favorites.

Honestly didn’t want to give in to the hype but I tried this place once and !!! So yummy! It’s a nice little Filipino Asian fusion spot in the valley. Different choices of meat that come with rice(OFCOURSE!) and they are reasonably priced(about $ 7-$ 9 a bowl). I got the pork adobo bowl and the meat was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of flavor. The DYNAMITE fries are also something worth getting. I would definitely go back and try out the other bowls!

This is basically a Filipino-Mexican-Hawaiian-Japanese fusion food joint. I liked the variety of options from their menu. My fiancé and I ordered the pork belly and umami gravy rice bowl, karaage rice bowl & dynamite sweet fries. — Pork belly & umami rice bowl: Delicious! Pork belly was juicy and moist!!! All the flavors blended well together. — Karaage rice bowl: Wow, ONEOFTHEBESTKARAAGE(Japanese fried chicken) I’ve ever had!!! For chicken that is fried, it is VERY moist and crispy on the outside!!! They gave a generous portion of it too. Gravy went well with it. I was happy with that! — Dynamite sweet fries: This appetizer was«okay». The sweet potato fries were good and crispy. But I felt like it was just sweet potato fries drizzled in spicy mayo and then they put BUNCHES of CILANTRO on top. It was too much cilantro. Improvements: — Please chop the cilantro up in smaller pieces on the dynamite sweet fries!!! — Maybe have a BROWNRICE option in the future :) The karaage, pork belly and gravy sauce made me rate this place 4 stars.

An odd review for me to write. I actually thought this place was ok. The food was really fresh it just wasn’t really my taste. I thought the Asian fusion concept sounded cool but when I came here it was mostly Filipino food which consists of bowls of rice with a boiled egg on the side. I was hoping there would be more Chinese and Japanese food here but it was mostly rice bowls and sandwich/burgers. On that note their«Oi» burger was really good, I liked the pretzel bun. Also their dynamite sweet potato fries had too much cilantro and the sauce in it tasted like plain mayonnaise. The chicken was good but the side sauce they gave us also tasted like mayo even though it was supposed to be garlic sauce. The inside of the restaurant is clean and modern but they play the music way too loud in there. Overall I would say that while I can tell the quality of the food was good and it’s definitely fresh it just wasn’t for me though I could see other people liking it.

Asian fusion place, namely Filipino and Japanese. The rice bowls are a decent size, I got full so fast! It’s kind of weird though, because all the restaurants around it close so much earlier, so it’s not that great for late night buzz. But it’s still a good place. I got the pork Belly and umami, and it was pretty good. Bc there was so much I got sick of it real quick though. As I sai, their portions are huge, so the karage chicken was bomb… But it had to wait lol. Even though it’s not that busy, service is a little slow… But I mean everything is freshly made?

I’m so happy that I have a Filipino place nearby! I came here under a recommendation from a friend. I came for the Tapsilog. I had wanted to try the fries and the karage, but sadly I did not have the tummy real estate for everything. The restaurant is clean and styled in a minimalist way. You order at the counter and pick up your food when it is ready. I opted to eat-in. The wait for the food wasn’t very long, and once it came out you could tell it was hot and fresh! Firstly, the beef. Oh my goodness the beef! It is so incredibly well cook and seasoned, it’s addicting! It is hard to not gobble it up all immediately! The fried egg was well cooked, not too runny but just runny enough to wet the rice. I’m not usually a fan of the pickled radish, but you could tell these were made in house, and they were tart and refreshing. I will be returning!

Almost a 5 Star place! I’ve been hearing so much about this place. I finally decided to give it a try on one of my cheat days… and I went all crazy and ordered half of the items on the menu! Food: Pork Belly & Umami Gravy — Lightly fried fatty pork chunks over rice and sweet eel sauce, which they call gravy. Good and simple flavors. Pork was slightly crispy on the outside and fatty and juicy on the inside. The rice was typical sticky sushi rice Sweet eel sauce and parsley for decoration. Portion size was big enough to get full for the average person. It’s mostly rice though. $ 8 Pork Bun — It had 3 thick slices of pork, hoisin and siracha sauce. Also had soft breading, like a taco and cucumbers. The pork was delicious and all of the flavors worked well together. One probably won’t be enough, but this is a good appetizer. $ 3.50 Dynamite Sweet Fries — Fried sweet potato fries with spicy mayo sauce, some cooked garlic pieces and for decoration purposes a little too much parsley. I had to remove most of it so I can enjoy t he food. $ 5 Water is self served and so are a few hot sauce options. Staff are friendly, but I had limited interaction with them. Prices are reasonable. Parking is a pain in the tush if you plan on coming here during the noon lunch hour. Décor was mediocre and could use some investment to spice things up. Here is the one big problem I experienced. After placing our order the first 3 tables I approached were all filthy. Food and sauce everywhere. I asked the lady behind the counter if she could give me a wet towel so I can wipe down the tables. She said she’ll take care of it and she did. She took the towel and wiped the food off the table and onto the floor. :/ Overall it was a good experience. It’s definitely Asian fusion that has unique flavors and styles. I’ll be back to try a few of their other items for sure.

This place serves the best Filipino fusion in the valley. My co-workers and I decided to go here after work for dinner. The plaza where this restaurant is located is not very busy, so I can say that parking is adequate. The place is clean. Ambience is modern laid back. I ordered their adobo bowl and it was awesome! Totally not for those who have heart disease or in renal failure! I just wish that they could make it less salty. I also tried their pork belly with umami gravy and it was heaven. We alto tried their Angus beef bun, which is tender but needs more flavor and Karaage bun, which I didn’t like at all. Service could be a little slow even if it’s not busy. Price is reasonable. Staff is very nice but needs to level up their PR(public relations) to encourage people to come back. They play pretty good music. Definitely a must try if you’re tired of traditional Filipino food.

My co workers and I eat here often because Oi always has the best service and food. They have an a unique style that I’ve never come across. It’s gourmet and comfort without any gimmicks. The meals are priced reasonably and the presentation is nice. The only downfall is that their parking lot can get a little too packed and they don’t have the best drivers sometimes. Thanks Oi!

So sad, they don’t serve the braised beef over kimchi hash anymore. Dynamite fries and TAPSILOG are still as BOMB as I remember. I also tried the angus burger, which the bun is a bao. It was nice and simple but after a bite of the fries or Oi burger it was bland but it was still good. The Oi burger was huge! I had to eat around the edges. I love the picked onions, I wish there was more. I couldn’t taste it until it dropped out of my burger. The droppings of pickled onions and greens were so good! It’s like a salad after! So, so, so good! If you are hungry, order quickly because waiting for your food can seem a while.

I love this place! Sadly my most favorite dish has long been discontinued… Their braised short rib over rice was THEBEST. It fell off the bone and was super tender, flavoring went super well with steamed rice too. I used to order it EVERYSINGLETIME I would go to eat at Oi. I’m writing this in hopes that they would consider bringing it back again ;) Like many others I first discovered Oi when they were at a smaller location on Tampa. All their dishes are delicious, some a little bit too salty for me(the Tapsilog bowl), but for the most part everything is good. My second favorite would have to be the Angus Beef Burger — I would try this first if it’s your first time! Oi knows exactly how to mix certain flavors and they just work! Give them a try! :)

Found them on Unilocal with a very good rating and the menu looked very good as well. Ordered 2 of the bowls, one burger bun, fried chicken and the sweet potato fries, for take out. The fries were awesome, bowls were pretty good but way too salty on the beef. The chicken had a slightly weird taste, but I didn’t get sick or anything like that so might just be the oil it was cooked in. The burger was OK, but the steamed bun was a little bit rubbery/overcooked. Good taste on the patty itself. Overall, it was an average experience but I’d come back for those awesome fries.

Not a fan. Came here for lunch yesterday and I was so excited to try it out with my friends. The other reviews and pictures on Unilocal made it seem like the bee’s knees. We got the loco burger bowl, the adobo bowl, karaage bowl, and the tapsilog bowl. The prices were reasonable, and it smelled delicious. But when we took our first bite, it was overwhelming heavy and salty. I got the karaage bowl, and it might’ve been the best out of all of them. It wasn’t overdressed in sauce or anything like the other bowls, which is what I like. It’s just fried chicken with rice. I asked for the umami gravy on the side because I read in someone’s review that it was a bit off putting. They were right lol. The prices are reasonable though. I just don’t think this is my cup of tea.

I have been going OI Asian Fusion since they had their location on Tampa. That place was so small you could barely fit 6 people in there. Now, they are at a location which is the 5x the size. I am glad they are doing great because they serve some great food. I come to OI Asian Fusion for their Pork Belly and Unami Gravy bowl. The pork belly is so tender and juicy it makes you crave for more. The Unami Gravy on the top of the pork belly brings all of the flavors together. They also have other items such as the Adobo Bowl which just as delicious. My visit is try their Tapsilog breakfast.

This is one of the BEST filipino spots I’ve been too. Let me just say this, I grew up with a filipino family and some of these dishes hit home for me. I love eggs on top of my rice with any protein by its side. The food selection is perfect for me. My first time I had the Pork Belly Adobo Bowl w/a sunny side up egg and it was delicious. This time around I am eating the Tapsilog w/a sunny side up and not fried completely. Another win win situation. I also love the fact they use recycle plating. It’s so much better for our environment & you feel better too. This is definitely a place I will keep coming back to until I have ate all the items posted. You will this gem on Canoga Ave by the Starbucks Drive Thru. Everyone should come and check it out!

Oi reminds me of Roy Choi’s spot: Chego in Chinatown. A lot of similarities, same concept of the rice bowls and the ambiance/vibe: restaurant bumping that hip-hop music– which I thoroughly enjoy! I got the Bibimbap $ 8: Sauteed veggies(bean sprouts, carrots, bamboo shoots, mushrooms to name a few in there) in sesame oil, red pepper paste, fried egg, sesame seed, rice. It’s spicy! The rice is sticky and covered heavily in that red pepper paste. Presentation wise, my meal was very pretty, visually appealing. Flavor was good –just a bit heavy on the sauce, for my liking. Free water from a dispenser on the side counter, they do sell cans/bottles of soda and bottled water-no fountain sodas. Restaurant is located in a strip mall with a Starbucks-so it was a bit full and tough for parking during lunch time. Nothing over the top or negative about service –I ordered at the counter and didn’t have many questions or much of an interaction with the girl at the register.

Sous vide !? Yes please! Ok so let me break it down… Food is very good! The meat is cooked to perfection. Yes, perfection! I’ve tried several items from their menu and they’ve consistently kept a proper texture for all meats! However, as a Filipino, I have to give this place a 4-star because they meat to rice ratio is not to perfection. They don’t have enough meat(or ulam) in comparison to the rice. DON’T get me wrong. you will still get filled up and full but it’s better to get full off of the main course than the side of rice.(although served all together). Also, it can get a bit pricey when ordering more than just a bowl. EGGS were cooked to perfection across the board Adobo bowl: Very good! No it doesn’t necessarily taste like Filipino adobo but the pork tastes like some good pulutan! Tapsilog: The meat was served up like how yoshinoya beef bowl would serve up their meat. This was a bit too salty for me and lacked the flavor of an authentic tapa. Like I said, it’s a bit more on the yoshinoya side… must be the fusion aspect. Pork Belly + Umami Gravy is my favorite! The sauce compliments the pork and the rice so well. I like the touch of seaweed as well! I could eat this stuff all day and again, wish it came with a bit more pork. Pork bun — it was good but not my favorite item on the menu Dynamite Fries: A bit on the smaller size if shared. It’s fries with a spicy mayo /dynamite sauce on top. STAFF: All have been friendly. I had ordered for pick up once and they took FOREVER to get my food ready, even after having arrived 20mins after calling in the order… the staff’s friendly and apologetic demeanor was much appreciated. They were thankful for my patience which was nice. Ambiance: Casual, chairs inside, few bench seating, cozy. clean Overall, DOIT

Love this place. The only issue is it sometimes takes a while to get the food, so it’s best to call ahead. And it can her warm inside(no AC!!!) The food itself is phenomenal. My favorites are the Adobo Bowl, Angus Burger Bun and the Dynamite fries. Over time, they’ve started to give us less fries and less dynamite sauce and less cilantro. .PLEASEDON“T CHEAPOUT! i love the fries but i can’t justify the $ 5 so much anymore… the Tapsilog is ok. the Braise Short rib is delicious but not worth $ 13. The Oi Burger, while good, leaves a lot to be desired So why 5 stars? Their Adobo Bowl, Fries, and Angus are JUSTTHATGOOD. And overall, it’s not too pricey Parking is a tiny lot that can get crowded. They also have some little side games you can play

After finding this place on Unilocal and reading the reviews, I knew I wanted to try this place if I was in the area. I finally did get it and here’s what I thought: Pork belly with umami gravy bowl(4 stars): This is your classic rice bowl dish with meat. The pork belly was absolutely delicious. It was fatty, meaty, crunchy and had a lot of flavor. They give you a decent portion too which was something I was worried about. It goes great with the umami gravy.(I thought there was too much gravy that it sometimes hid the flavor of the pork) It’s heavy dish so you might not be feeling so great after eating it, but it’s definitely worth a try. Dynamite Fries(2 stars): I saw these fries on buzzfeed so I was having high hopes and expectations… and I was disappointed with them. The fries itself tasted like sweet potato fries you get at any other restaurant. The sauce tasted like spicy mayo… and just spicy mayo. The first few bites were good, but then it got to a point where I felt I was eating solidify spicy mayo. Maybe it’ll be better if I shared it, but I’ll skip it next time. This place is really good, and their bowls are tasty for a good price. But skip the dynamite fries.

I’m a new fan of Oi! My brother found out about this place through Instagram and he’s been wanting to go. We came here for dinner last night and we were impressed by the food, but not so much by how long it took to get our food. Nevertheless we enjoyed each of the things we ordered! The tapsilog bowl(tapsilog is a typical Filipino breakfast which consists of tapa or marinated beef, sinangag or fried garlic rice, and itlog or fried egg) is AMAZING. My first bite of the beef was an explosion of flavour due to their exquisite marinade. I only wish I could make my beef tapa marinades like theirs. My brother’s order of pork belly adobo bowl was also top notch. The meat is a little crispy which is a nice touch and the usual adobo flavour I am used to is toned down a bit. Overall, I would definitely order the tapsilog and the adobo bowls again on my future visits. We also tried the Kaarage rice bowl which comprised of japanese fried chicken, umami gravy, seaweed, scallions, sesame seeds, and pickled red radish. My nephew loved the chicken and their homemade umami gravy was a nice touch. Also, the dynamite fries were great. I don’t usually go for sweet potato fries but the dynamite sauce they put on top is unbelievably delectable. It has that perfect balance between fire and sweetness. My brother and I both agreed we’d come back here in the future. I’m impressed with the menu and great food.

I really think I ordered the wrong items or I am just not a big fan of Oi Asian Fusion. I met an old co-worker here and we ordered the following: Bibibap Bowl with Pork Belly($ 11): I love bibimbap at Grandma Kim’s but Oi puts seaweed salad into the bowl and it just made the bowl taste fishy. I also didn’t like the fatty texture of the pork belly. Pork Belly Jicama Tacos($ 5): I liked the jicama but again on the pork belly 8 piece pork eggrolls($ 4): this I like but I can go to any filipino restaurant to get lumpia. Dynamite Sweet fries($ 5): I only tasted the dynamite sauce(pure mayonnaise), didn’t know what happened to my sweet potato fries. I won’t be back.

Give this place a try, you won’t regret it, we are gonna go back again for sure and try other dishes. The staff was really friendly as well. Been wanting to try Oi Asian Fusion after reading the Unilocal reviews, but ended up being a little underwhelmed and a bit disappointed. Granted this review is based only on two items on the menu, and very willing to give this place another try if I’m ever in the area. The San Gabriel Valley, unfortunately, is too far of a drive from Canoga Park. 1) Pork Adobo Bowl(4 Stars): The fried and fatty pork pieces are delicious and yummy with the accompanying adobo sauce. It is served with steamed white rice, and it reminds me of how a lot of Filipino dishes are served at home. Why just 4 stars? The semi-hard boiled egg, however, was way too undercooked and cold. 2) Karaage Chicken Bowl with Umami Gravy(2 Stars): The fried chicken pieces seemed a bit too oily and there was something about the umami gravy that was off-putting. The umami gravy tasted a bit too«milky» and it reminded me of mushroom soup. I don’t think I’m willing to try another dish at Oi Fusion that comes with umami gravy. Just not me. Willing to give Oi Asian Fusion another try in the near future.

Oi! What a great place. Oi Asian Fusion offer some great Filipino and Japanese fusion style food. It was our first time here and probably won’t be our last. The restaurant is pretty small. They only have about 7 to 8 tables. Ordering is simple too. Just order at the counter then they’ll give you a number and go find you table ! Service: Very friendly and quick. Food: Pork Eggrolls(lumpia) Great appetizer. The lumpia was fried perfectly and the flavor was a point. Good pork flavor. Tapsilog Bowl: This was good, but could have been better. The angus beef was nice and tender. The fried egg was fried perfectly. The pickled red radish was the a great touch. The down side was the garlic rice didn’t taste like garlic rice. Looks like they just sprinkle the fried garlic over the rice. 3.5 /5 star! Pork Belly & Umami Gravy: I was in heaven with this bowl. What’s not to like. Great amount of pork belly that was braised wonderfully served over steam rice, with that awesome umami gravy drizzle all over made this bowl freaking amazing. I think what made this bowl better was the shredded nori on top. 5⁄5 I’ll definitely be back to try more stuff.
