This place was great. I went it to get highlights and hair cut. Aki was wonderful and gave me great suggestions. I am very happy with her service and will definitely go back to Aki.

I bought the groupon deal for one Brazilian bikini wax. When I arrived at the salon, the lady who I was told would do my waxing was busy working on a haircut for a young girl. I was a little dismayed as I thought why would you double book a haircut with a waxing client?! I thought to myself, if I’m waiting for more than 20 mins, then I will have to say something. But, within 10 mins after I sat down she called me over. I went into a small room at the back of salon. The first thing I noticed was how unsanitary everything was. There was old wax stuck to the walls and a dirty looking rag just left on the bed where customers are supposed to lie on. At this point I already wanted to leave fast, but how much worse could it get?! Well, the waxing was the worst, most painful I’ve ever experienced in my life! No care for the customer whatsoever. It was the owner of the salon that waxed me and claims to have 28+ yrs of experience. If you really cared about your customers, you would want them to come back. If you would employ more staff, maybe you wouldn’t have to do waxing and hair at the same time! Needless to say, run don’t walk from this salon. I would never let any of my friends or family get waxing here.

I got a groupon for their brazilian wax, twas a really good deal but they wont offer it anymore but theyre offering an in house deal which is still amazing prize. Aki is my attendant, she’s very welcoming and nice, she is fast about 5 to 7 minutes, but she’s thorough. I can say i am a satisfied customer.

This is a great place to get a Brazilian wax. They are clean and SO quick. Affordable and flexible too… Aki made me feel welcome and was very comfortable to be around. I bought a package as I will definitely be back! I also look forward to trying some of their other services.

Came here last weekend with my gf before a company dinner– my girlfriend got her hair done highlights and blow dry with Aki and she looked beautiful– I asked her if she could give me a haircut too while I was there and we both left orchids house of beauty looking and feeling pretty dam good about ourselves.
I made an appointment with Aki for my mom and grandma too. Will recommend and will be back soon

I have been coming to Orchid’s House Of Beauty for about 4 years now. And even though I have moved to New York, and currently living in Dallas, Texas. I fly out to have her do my hair and waxing, I always say how quick my wax is while others take forever, aki is quick and pain free. I have yet to confide in someone in Dallas to touch my hair. No place, or stylist is like Akram aka to me Aki. She’s amazing, caring, sweet, kind, accomadating and her salon is clean and comfortable. I am so happy I found her and know you will be happy with her services. I am bringing my grandma here too. Even though my grandma only speaks Spanish, she welcomed her with open arms. My grandma felt loved and cared for. My grandmother has asked me to bring her back here. As you can see, I am sad to leave aki, but I leave feeling great, hair free down there, (my husband will love that) and sexy with my recent hair cut. So ladies if your wax specialist take forever when waxing you down there, than come see aki, yes it will hurt but it will be quick under 10 mins. Promise

All I can say that EVERYTIME I come in to this salon Aki always makes me feel so welcome and receive me with a big hug. I love her job I come in to get Brazilian wax and let me tell you she’s the best! Always making me feel comfortable and she’s fast. She deserves 5 stars and more if I can add. Great customer service! I’ve been a client of Tara & she does a great job on my eyebrows. Highly recommend ! She does exactly what you want. Angie does great blowdrys too!

Aki is really patient and careful when waxing; however, the few times I went I ended up leaving with a few stray hairs. I do have course hairs, but, I’ve had much faster and less painful waxing done at other places. If I can’t get an appointment at my usual place then Aki is my definite next choice. Waxing down there is never a pleasant experience, but, I think that Aki does her best to be gentle and I certainly appreciate that.

This place seriously gives the best bikini waxes. It might not be the most esthetically pleasing looking salon but my wax was super fast and painless. Orchid is the best!

Aki is wonderful and talented at allowing the divine to shine through, even if you are a bit of a tomboy like me. I trusted Aki with wax to start and she was quickly reshaping my eyebrows and styling my hair. I trust her vision and efficiency; she knew what I wanted even before I did. Highly recommend her in skill and craft!

I am a client for their waxing services, and Aki is absolutely amazing. I am new to LA and was so blessed to have found this place! The salon is lovely and parking is easy on the street. Aki is so professional and talented, I would never go anywhere else. She is very fast and my waxes come out so clean and take between 4 – 5 weeks to grow back. It may be odd, but I actually look forward to my waxes! Only a truly talented skincare specialist could pull that off… while pulling off my hair :) Love Aki and Orchid’s House of Beauty!

This has got to be the fastest waxing experience I’ve even been through. Aki is so efficient at her job, the whole process was over and done with in less than 5 minutes, not kidding. I was in shock. And it was a good job too! I found her through LivingSocial but will definitely consider coming back!

This is a hidden Gem if you are looking for a nice salon! I took my mom to get her hair a new look and I can assure you that she had a amazing experience, it’s very clean, it’s nice and very helpful staff and the good part about this place is that «House of Orchids» actually smells of Orchids and their prices is much better then other places! I will defiantly send business their way!

I looooooooooove Angie!!! she is the best wax person in town!!! I have followed her around in westwood for over 10 years and I would follow her to the vvallley if she would move. She is super fast, super thorough and very affordable. I love that she really has done such an amazing job with the waxing of my legs I am super spacing the visits now. She is super honest and will make her best for your skin to look amazing… and decrease the frequency of the hair growth… which is something only a very honest ‘waxer’ would do because it goes against her bussiness in a way.
She is the best!!!

I wouldn’t even give this place a one star if I could. I had such a bad experience here with the hair stylist by the name of Angie (I don’t know about the other hair stylists).
I made my appointment with her a month in advance for my best friends wedding. She «scheduled» me in at 11 o’clock AM in order for me to get to the brides house by 12:30 so I can help her get dressed.
The day of the wedding I called her at 10:30 to get directions to her store and all of the sudden she tells me, «Oh, I forgot to write you in my scheduling book.» Instead of being professional about it and changing her schedule around because SHE was the one that made the mistake all she said was «just come later in the day» and on top of that she was so rude about it, as if this was all my fault. She didn’t even take into consideration that I had to be dressed and ready by 12:30. I understand people make mistakes and I’ve made plenty on my own but you’re suppose to be professional about it and have the decency to apologize or try to fix the situation, which she didn’t do.
I would not go here again and I don’t recommended her as well due to the fact that I personally can’t depend or trust her. She literally left me hanging on a day that was really important to me and my best friend.
Luckily my old hair stylist was kind enough to take me and the day turned out great ;) Just watch out if you ever go to her or make sure u call her plenty of times to double check she scheduled you in.
