Pizza Romana

This is so good, the food is great and the ambience is good as well. Great service if you don’t mind getting your own silverware from the counter (nice silverware though). The pizza is amazing and I can’t wait to go back. The salads are also wonderful yet I do not understand why it has been so quiet. Definitely going back soon! Good wine list as well.

Fried chicken sandwich is one of the best I’ve ever had. Comes with fresh potato chips which are also great.
Unfortunately the fried chicken entrée is weirdly expensive — $ 15 for one breast?! Stick with the sandwich.

This is BY FAR the BEST pizza I’ve had in LA. My fiancé and myself are quite selective with food and drinks. And I can say without a doubt, My search for the best pizza in my neighborhood has come to an end. This is it.
All clean ingredients, friendly people, although I usually order take out.

This place is still delicious and has good service. It’s starting to get busier which makes me happy! The spicy broccolini and sausage was good, ask for a bit extra spice. The seasonal veg was sautéed kale and it was full of great flavor, balsamic, garlic, a bit of citrus.

Drive by this place all the time. Decided to try it out, proper Italian style pizza! Really really good and super pleasant clean restaurant! We will be coming back.

This place is legit. Get the pizza! Get the arugula salad! Definitely get the chicken tenders! The guys are very welcoming.

Great food, great prices and friendly service. 5 stars is for the fried chicken and $ 5 beers on tap. COME HERE. I rarely give such reviews. Pizza is good too, made is a wood burning oven.

Cheap, good quality, and fast service. You can’t ask for much more. I love trying the different types of pizza they offer along with the friend chicken!

Pretty good deal, good pizza, good service, good price, nice outdoor. The dough is thin and not too much cheese on it which I liked. I especially like the fact you can build your own and add as many veggies as you want for the same price. I’d recommend for a lunch if you’re in the neighborhood. The only reason I am not giving 5 stars is for the sides veggies portion which is too small for that price ($ 5 for a few asparagus), but overall a great spot!

I had no idea how amazing the food and pizza were going to be when I got it delivered. it came Way sooner than I expected which never ever happens, I chose this restaurant at random and I’m so happy because it was my favorite so far.

I think this is become a secret weapon in the neighborhood. A great pizzeria that we cannot only walk to and take out but sit down and enjoy the fire own pizzas right there in the restaurant some pretty good size not too pricey so good for lunch or dinner.
They have 2 party rooms pretty cool staff. usually quiet small selection of wine and some good sides to go with your food. Not just pizza, they have Panini’s mac & cheese fried chicken chicken tenders a vast array of custom pizzas that you can make yourself

Great pizza! We chose the «make your own» added a bunch of veggies.
Had the cobbler for dessert. Really good! They have gelato too. The staff was very accommodating. We’ll be back!

Came here pretty late in the evening and the restaurant was pretty empty. The chef went over the pizza menu and suggested some options we could do. We ended up making two custom pizzas which came out very good. Their giant over gives the dough a nice taste and the quality and choice of ingredients see nice. They charge a lot for premium toppings but you can load on as many veggies as you want. I highly recommend you try their ranch because it is the best thing ever.

Loved the cheese plate (once again you could tell they didn’t use cheap cheese) balsamic veggies and pizza. We also got a great bottle of wine for $ 20. Where else in LA does that happen?
It’s an order at the counter concept but they were very attentive to anything we needed after our food was dropped. Loved everything about it. Can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely amazing place! Tonight was my 4^th time there and each time I get blown away. It’s a smaller place with an upscale casual atmosphere. But anyone and any dress is welcome. Previously I got more traditional style pizzas but today I went outside of my box and ordered the barbecue chicken pizza, what a treat! It didn’t have a generic, sweet sauce on it but instead a thoughtful and smokey delight with a healthy amount of chicken, red onion and basil.
Not only is there pizza great, but everything else on the menu too. Calling this place a pizza spot is actually misleading and doing them a disservice. Last time I ordered the Mac & Cheese. It was fantastic, garnished with bread crumbs and rosemary. My mom decided to order fried chicken tenders this time and they were easily the best I’ve had in a long time. Reminded me of southern buttermilk fried chicken but with a little spice and a great homemade ranch dressing and lemon on the side. Do not hesitate to check this place out.

My bf and I ended up here after initially planning to go to Bludso’s next door for dinner. After not being acknowledged after standing there for a couple minutes, we left and went to Pizza Romana.
We walked in and Jimmy was unbelievably pleasant, helpful and welcoming. A great feeling after what we just experienced next door. So that was a great start. We took a couple menus and sat down. The place was clean, casual and comfortable. I loved the set up for getting water, it’s serve yourself with regular sized glasses and ginormous mason jars (so cool) along with extra silverware rollups and plates. Idk, but I liked that. *shrugs*
We looked over the menu and had a couple questions, Jimmy answered everything I asked with no attitude whatsoever even though I was extremely indecisive. I ended up building my own pizza and ordering the «side» of spicy fried chicken breast tenders. The pizza prices were realllllly reasonable. For my bf and I, we ordered one pizza and the chicken, and we barely finished it. Great, cheap meal!
The pizza arrived first. It looked good, the taste was decent. Idk if it was because I built my own, maybe I did it wrong but there really wasn’t much flavor. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t BAD, just not much to it. The pizza was super super thin, but not crispy. (which is good, I don’t like crispy) I’m thinking maybe the fact the pizza was so thin (not much sauce) is why there wasn’t much flavor. I only got flavor from the actual toppings which was sporadic. When you get the the crust edges, it tastes amazing. Anyway. it was good. Nothing I would come back for but good. Now… on to the REAL winner…

OMG, these things were sooooo flavorful. SO fresh. SO much flavor. Really amazing. The flavor profile was something familiar yet something I have never had before. It wasn’t just fried chicken with spice added to it. It was more complex. Something I can really appreciate. It is served with an amazing, «ranch-​like» sauce and a lemon wedge. Do yourself a favor, SQUEEZE THE LEMON on the chicken… just do it.
The guy who brought our food and helped us after ordering our meal, Kendall, was great too. He was friendly, prompt and helpful with a smile on his face.
I can easily say, although I may not come back just based on the pizza here, I will come back for the CHICKEN, the friendly staff and the laid back, clean atmosphere.

For a first timer I recommend the buffalo mozzarella pizza. It’s just one of the most enjoyable pizza experiences of my life.
K, I’m getting a little carried away now… I just really love Romana. They know what they are doing.

This place finally opened. I work right near this place and was wondering if it was ever going to open. When I walked in the restaurant looked amazing and the staff was friendly on helping me choose which pizza I would like.
A co worker and I tried the 4 cheese Mac & cheese and the arugula pesto pizza. Great pizza at a great price! Their dough is off the hook! And it’s wood-​fired for that great crispy taste. If you are in the neighborhood and want pizza try this place!
