This place has tastier croissants than paris, seriously! Screw hoity toity Frenchy places in So Cal. Those places prey on your grandma. Vietnamese donut places are where it’s at.

Whenever I crave donuts, this is where I turn to… but mainly because it’s 2 blocks away from my house. I usually get 6 of the donut holes and an ice blended cappuccino mocha. the family that runs the store are great! I think they’ve been there for I think a little over 10 years now. I still remember the old owners. Lol

Came here with an intense croissant craving and left so satisfied. It was my first time in here, but I saw good reviews so I trusted that I was in good hands at PK. Very funky location, wasn’t really sure if I was in a donut shop or a liquor store but I didn’t let that phase me. Ordered a plain croissant, which was MASSIVE and only $ 1.25. Anyone who knows me is aware the way to my heart is a cheap butter croissant. And it was, from what I could tell, made with real butter. Great flavor. Flaky and crisp at the edges, moist and chewy in the center. Absolutely everything a croissant should be. Very, very happy and will come back to try some of their other pastries next time! One note: the place was quite small – only two tables if I remember correctly(which were already taken) so don’t expect to sit and eat. I just took mine to go and had a blissful walk home on Cloud 9 with my glutinous desire satiated.

(Snacked 07÷21÷13SU @ 12:30pm): You could find things from A-Z here! Since I moved to Silver Lake I’ve hankered for a place to get(preferably good) boba in relative proximity to my home. But it wasn’t until recently when I walked pass PK Donuts coming from Mohawk Bend and noticed a sign that promoted boba drinks… but they were closed. So I vowed to return as soon as possible. I was returning from Echo Park Lake with a friend and a dog we were sitting for. It was simply kismet that this place was open so the opportunity presented itself which couldn’t be missed. I entered and saw nothing more than a run-of-the-mill donut shop(e.g. donuts, lottery tickets, various drinks, sandwiches, etc.), but my eyes then laid upon the boba menu behind the counter up on the wall. I took a quick moment before I decided what to get: [BOBAALERT — 4.5/5] Thai Iced Tea with Boba($ 2.75) — I’ve finally found boba in Silver Lake and in walking/jogging distance! They only had one size cup(looked like 12 oz.) so no super-sizing for me. I watched the woman make it in front of me as she poured the Thai iced tea into the clear plastic cup, followed by a couple scoops of boba from a cooking pot, and lastly large pieces of ice to keep it chilled. The pumpkin-colored tea was just a tad sweeter than I’d like(which said a lot) but totally refreshing as we walked back to my pad. The boba was perfectly soft, chewy, and plentiful. The only«con» was that I wished there were less ice cubes, and preferred ice chips. Apple Fritter($ 1.25) — If you knew me, this was my go-to donut so even though I wasn’t hungry I had to try it, and I wasn’t disappointed! It was fresh(maybe only a couple hours old), enough apple pieces, decent size, and moist. The only«con» I could say was the lack of hard burnt crunchy corners and protrusions. But very tasty nonetheless. Service — There was one nice woman behind the counter who helped me — the sole customer — so I had her undivided attention. Since this was my first time here, I had several questions which she obliged me. She made my drink quickly and simply grabbed my apple fritter from the showcase. Basically, she was quick, efficient and nice. Parking — They were located within a small outdoor strip mall that shared a private parking lot with several other storefronts. Otherwise, there was metered street parking along the main drag of Sunset Blvd.(free on Sundays, I think). Atmosphere, décor, ambience — The strip mall this place was located in was rather gritty to say the least. It was your garden-variety donut shop with enough room to fit no more than 10 standing customers and a couple fast-food type tables and chairs. There was a small display counter with several trays of donuts that faced you on the right and the order/pay counter directly in front of you. Price boards with menus covered the wall behind the counter as well as a couple advertisements. I didn’t noticed any TVs. Attire — It was totally casual so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. Overall, PK Donuts was more than A-OK! I was thrilled to have finally found a boba place in my neighborhood, but I won’t stop on my quest for more. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above(total bill was around $ 4.00 before tip), but frankly I was too giddy for this find. Unfortunately, they accepted only cash, so no credit cards including mine of choice… AMEX!

I love this place. I can pick up my lunch on the way to work. Definitely order the ham and cheese croissants, mango smoothie and Thai tea with boba. The boba is free! Also, where can you get ice cream for $ 1.25 these days? It’s such a great deal.

Mmm… DONUTS… I LOVE P&K DONUTS… its like I’m swimming in donut heaven once i walk in, I’ve tried many local donut shops and by far this place is straight up PERFECT. The donuts are always made deliciously FRESH and just how donuts should be. I love the donut holes, sugar twist and glazed twist here. I try to make a trip there every morning on my way to work when I have extra time, so convienent and clean… ummmm as for the rats and roaches I have NEVER seen any and I’ve been coming for here pretty regularly. Looks pretty clean to me. The people here are friendly and greets me with a smile everytime. The croissants are really good too. :D
