My parents used to bring me here when I was a kid and I hated haircuts. But they always did the job right, and they made me feel comfterable. I remember that much. Now 20 years later, to my amazement, Arturo is still there!(let THAT tell you something) For a latino male it’s really difficult to come accros a barber who can do a «fade» just the right way. They know exactly how it’s supposed to be done. Just to give you an idea of how traditional they are they still use an old fashioned blade to touch you up. That is sort of like their signature. That’s the part I used to hate of course, but I always made it out alive :-) They seem to keep busy with the locals(and the ‘locos’ jk) So they are not hurting for business $$. But if you are in search for a barber that is going to get your«fade» just the way you want it come on down! They are just East of the 110 Fwy and 10 minutes from the USC campus.

Corner of Martin Luther King Blvd & Wall. I’ve been coming here since 2000, yes it’s in South LA. It may not be the best Barber Shop; but it’s a simple grungy, old school barber shop that sticks to classic hair cutting. I always go with Arturo(first chair) he always does a great job with my classic taper cut for $ 10 bucks, I give him a $ 2 dollar tip — $ 12 bucks is not bad at all. The younger barberss towards the back specialize in fades and what not… The best times to go is during the weekends when the soccer games are going on. Arturo usually takes lunch around 2:00 — 4:00 pm.
